Comfort Suites Columbia I-65

There were cigarette buts everywhere outside the building in the flower beds and parking lot, it was disgusting. We always had to ask for more towels for our room and they never had any clean ones available and if they did they didn’t have as many as we needed. Being a family of 5 I would think having 5 clean towels would be easy. We weren’t informed that the pool area wasn’t working properly, we went swimming, the room and water was freezing!!! I told them at the front desk and they said they knew about it and someone was coming to fix it. That’s fine. But a sign stating that the area was freezing cold would’ve been nice to know ahead of time. We did swim for 2 days there, but there were never any towels so we had to ask the front desk each time for towels. Our room wasn’t very clean when we pulled out the couch bed there was old dog biscuits that apparently were left by previous stays. All in all it was a very disappointing stay and the fact we had to ask for a lot of different things, and you had to catch someone at the front desk which was a feat in itself. It just wasn’t what we were expecting, we will be staying at a different hotel from now on.

Worn out sheets & towels. Housekeeping only makes beds every other day. Cobwebs and stains everywhere. Gym equipment not working.

Great stay as usual. Only suggestions, swimming pool room air temperature is too cold and toilet shape in guest room is not comfortable.

No towels at pool. No bedding for pull out. Pool heater broken. Very loud neighbors. Flooring coming up. Took forever for hot water.

Pull out bed had crumbs inside, no towels at the pool, hot water in the shower was limited and the drawers would not stay closed. Room was a good size, nice breakfast selection and it was a good location.

The room floors looked like they were never washed/cleaned - found a sock, hair band, price tag plastic attachment... and when wiping up water from the shower the filth showed up on the floor mat. There was also hair all over the floor in the pool area. But breakfast area was clean.

Room was great, no problems there! Indoor pool was cold and overcrowded with not enough places to sit and towels were never available. Workout room was HOT (who wants to be hot before you get hot?) Neither TV worked in there. One elevator was acting funny like it was going to get stuck. Linens for the pullout were not available in the closet and when I called to see if someone could bring some up, I was told I would have to come down and get some. So clearly understaffed.

1 of 2 elevators out of order and the working elevator was having serious issues. Ice machine out of order. Could not find entryway from the road in the dark. No TV Guide. Cannot tell what is on the TV. Breakfast was descent, but crowded. Front desk people were great. No towel bars in the bathroom. I would stay there again.

There were details that were not clean (marks on the walls and the edges of the floors). The bathroom was okay but the way the showers are designed the floor got wet. The pool floor was excessively slippery. Breakfast was fine. It was easy to get to and the Mexican restaurant right next door was convenient and good.

Very nice room except refrigerator made very loud noise. Turned down thermostat and it stopped. Breakfast was great and a nice lady made sure there was always plenty of food. Weight room is more a harm to the quality of the property. Only a few things and they don't work. Even the clock is broke.

The hotel room was dirty & poorly maintained. The carpets throughout the halls were stained & the floors in the entryway clearly needed swept & mopped. All of the dark wood doors had gashes in them. Our room had walls with stains and chunks out of them. The couch had obvious stains to the point we didn’t sit on it or put any items on it. The shower curtain had stains all over it that appeared to look like old blood stains. We luckily only stayed one night to break our trip up. If we would have arrived earlier in the night, we would have left & looked for something else. Such a disappointmen

The room was dirty and the sheets had lots of pilling. The carpets in the halls are so stained! We don’t usually stay in 2 1/2 star hotels but that’s all they had in Columbia.

I booked this property based on the reviews. However, when we got to our room, it was obvious that it hadn’t been cleaned. We found a bug on the floor, coins, and a used washcloth by the bed. Also, the bed didn’t appear to be made-just sheets pulled up and pillows throw on the bed. We immediately went down to the desk and requested a refund. Went around the corner to a much better hotel chain. You might want to do the same!

Throw up was on the trashcan by the elevator. Carpets were stained. Dead bugs smeared on the walls. Dark spots in the showers. Bugs crawling around shower. I definitely won't be staying here again.

This hotel had a pretty good rating, that’s the reason I booked it. When we arrived lastnight, the hallway leading to the room was dirty and stained, got into the room and long black hair on toilet, couch was stained had a bad stench in the air. Just was very unpleased over all. This room was not worth $135 a night. Won’t stay here again.

Checked in and checked right out!!!!!! One of the two rooms we rented looked like it had not been cleaned. There were cockroaches (dead ones and live ones) one crawled on my grandsons shoe!!!! Would not recommend this property

We arrived late with sleeping kids and kept the lights low as we put the kids in bed. In the dark the room looked good. Well the sun came up and the dirt was revealed. The floors had not been vacuumed or cleaned, walls and couches were not clean. Bathroom was ok, and beds were decent! I’m sharing a pic of a couple of the treasures that we found in the floor. Could easily be a great hotel… just needs cleaned!

The first room we were assigned was dirty— urine & hair on the toilet, crud on the nightstand and wall, candy on the floor. The second room had mold in the bathroom. We only stayed because it was late and we were tired. I was disappointed that when I told the front desk about the mold, nothing was offered to compensate us for the poor condition of our room. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was OK, but we will bot stay here again and can’t recommend it.

Beds are comfortable, shower hot and location was quiet. Beyond that, the hotel needs to put a serious effort into cleaning and updating. Carpets need replacing in hallways. Leaking trash can by elevator remained unclean the two days we were there. Walls and furniture need repair. When returning to this area we will probably look for other accommodations.

Problem with the doors. The main and bathroom doors would not close properly.

Very convenient location just off I65 in Columbia. Located in a plaza with Mexican restaurant, breakfast place, liquor store and gas station. Breakfast is included but it’s pretty basic. Bed and pillows were comfortable but couches skeeved me out since there were stains in multiple places. Bathroom was well appointed with plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The wireless internet service was completely useless and I had to use my cellular data.

Room ws ice cold when we got in. 62 degrees. Turned up thermostat. Everyting fine now.

It was a good property with easy safe walking to dining. The room was very nice except it desperately needed a new mattress.

Nice staff, our room was very clean and we liked the room layout. It had lots of space to put luggage and a large sofa for relaxing. We chose this hotel over others in the area due to the sofa space and it didn't disappoint. The hotel is showing a little wear but overall a great stay due to staff, breakfast and room layout.

We weren't fond of the thin walls that allow us to hear our neighbor's conversations, but aside from that, it’s decent for the price. You get what you pay for.

Interior walls in rooms need insulation. You can heard the people in the next room talking and or tv. Can hear people in the halls very clearly.

When we got to our room, we went out the door one time and upon coming back in- the door lock was malfunctioning. It would not close. We called the front desk (Shane) who tried to fix it. When he couldn’t fix it, he basically said we were stuck with the room because they were sold out. After some persistence, he called his boss and found an open room. Thankful there was a room but at 1230am, it was extremely inconvenient and irritating. After getting to the other room, all the doors in the room had marks on the locks & one did not function correctly. Clearly an issue with multiple rooms in the hotel. We will not be back there.

Very comfortable beds and large rooms.

We have stayed at this location numerous times simply because of proximity to our children & Stan’s coffee next door. This visit we could see a definite deterioration of the hotel. The toilet wouldn’t stop running on its own, the mini fridge kept making a haunting noise, keeping us awake at night so we had to unplug it altogether, the flooring was dangerously lifting & if you’re looking for “free breakfast”, this is not the place. They offer it but it’s really just sad with powdered egg substitute. Stan’s restaurant next door does have some great biscuits and gravy though lol. It also took about 10 minutes to get hot water flowing in the shower! Not good when it’s winter & you’re standing there naked wanting hot water. They also had signs up notifying their guests that there was a staff shortage so trash & towels “would be collected”. Would be as opposed to “would not”. It was just disappointing all around. I think we’ll look for something else next trip. 4x’s is enuff grace for this place.

The hotel service was great. Only problem was the check in. Credit card was invalid for Hotels.com or whomever was paying for the room. Caused a delay at desk for me as well as several others.

Got back to our hotel room our first night and our toliet was trying to overflow went down to ask for plunger and front desk employee was very rude and said we would have to wait until morning to get it fixed that she had no options for us besides us to come down to the downstairs bathroom all night then the next day the front desk employee did give a plunger and said we needed to do it ourselves not their job.

We booked in July and prepaid for 3 rooms for our family . The check in attendant wouldn't check in someone in our party without my DL # (what's the point of adding hotel guests names to a booking if you don't let them check in without the main guest?) Our daughter and her 2 children walked into their room to find someone sleeping in it. The hotel told us there were no other rooms , that the guest decided to stay another night and wanted to send my daughters family to another hotel. After I said say no and that this was unacceptable to separate our family the attendant made several calls and they miraculously found another room .So another guest who had a Reservation and not made it there yet was going to be told they had no room for them. Our room had the door knob missing off the bathroom door . Our bathroom had no soap to wash hands with . The good breakfast reviews were the reason we chose this hotel and it was nothing to rave about. The woman taking care of the breakfast area was propped up at the check in desk and was unhappy when I went there to ask if someone could refill the 2 empty milk carafe's . She seemed very annoyed anytime a guest asked for something. On a positive note the beds were comfortable. We are not hard to please people and I hate to write a poor review but this stay warrants it especially for booking and prepaying months in advance and being told we didn't have room, no one wants that after traveling for hours.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable.

The manager is great. She is accommodating and helpful.

This hotel is my go to. Every time I’m in town I’m here. It’s clean, it’s comfortable, and the staff is very courteous. Most of all, they make it easy.

We had a wonderful stay! We arrived very late. The young lady was so helpful in helping us find snacks and food.

It was settled in behind a gas station walkable to McDonald's and a nice Mexican restaurant. Not to Mendon the gas station had a nice southern comfort restaurant inside. Nice right of the interstate.

Convenient to interstate. Room was clean and prepped.

Great spot to spend the night on a road trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of food within walking distance. Right off the interstate but no noise. My only suggestion is to get rid of the coffee machines at the breakfast buffet as the coffee is terrible. Make coffee in your room before you go down!

Staff and service was good. Hotel was clean. The downfall to our stay was the location. This is a very busy area. There is a convenient store, restaurant and liquor store all in a very tight area. Noise from the outside is took much. Parking was tight and made me nervous about the safety of my vehicle.

Close to I-65 was a plus

Great room and location off highway 65. Would stay there again.

This a nice area to stay at when going to the Lions Super Pull of the South.

We loved the ease of parking close. Hotel was kept clean. Our room was nice, but our water was always cool to luke warm, at best. Breakfast was cold the first morning (eggs, sausage and potatoes) and the 2nd morning they only had one person working breakfast and therefore everything ran out, and had to wait. Probably wouldn't choose a comfort suites again.

Friendly staff, breakfast was decent. some of the neighbors were loud but of no fault to the hotel. will stay again.

Slow drains. Pastries were stale every day. Only two juices, Apple and Orange.
