Probably most central and I think most modern hotel on the island. Public spaces, lobby, gardens are lovely and rooms are well lit, beautifully appointed and very comfy beds. Keep in mind that it is a historic building so bathrooms are tight but mine was bright, updated, CLEAN with great hot water pressure. Good mirrors for makeup etc. mini fridge, mini split ac iron hair dryer everything you’ll need. Only reason not 5 stars is shoulder season restaurant was closed. But coffee and small bar served in lobby. Pretty gardens and porch!!

Great location, easy walk from ferry in Old Harbor with great dining options within East walking distance. Visiting midweek in early September ( PERFECT weather, less crowds ) made for an ideal 3 day getaway. Like having coffee available in lobby (2 flights down) but a walk to store for breakfast items needed ( hint there's a refrigerator in room so we knew to stick up for second morning) to be lazy!

We love the lobby and the staff. The grounds are beautiful! Our room had a private deck overlooking the rear gardens which are lovely and expansive. Fay went above and beyond to be sure all our needs were met- from very late check out to keeping something frozen for us which was important. We will be back!

Lovely old well maintained property with a fantastic front porch offering cocktail and coffee service. Charming. Nice linens, a/c, comfortable beds. Our particular room was small but there are other larger rooms available. Polite staff. Look forward to visiting again!

The location of the hotel is excellent. It’s an Easy walk to old harbor, the ferry, Ballards beach, shopping, 1661 farm and bicycle rentals. Friendly helpful staff at front desk and in housekeeping. The Hotel lobby is charming and comfortable with self serve coffee and water on hand. There’s also small bar inside the lobby and out on patio in front of the hotel. A perfect place to relax and watch the passersby. I Didn’t love the steep stairs to the third floor (no elevator, which is common in block island) but the room was lovely, had a queen bed and a distant water view. The air conditioning worked great, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and freshly decorated. The mini bar and snack selection in the room was reasonably priced. I would definitely go back.

The hotel was very pleasant. We really enjoyed the orange infused water in the lobby. The rooms were clean and stylish. And then a borrow is fully stocked. The bike rack right out front was very helpful. The porch was beautiful with the bar and the couches and the ceiling fans. Great location away from Town, so that was quite enough but close enough to town to go and be part of the action. Also, it was a surprise to see that there were cows corralled behind a fence neighboring the hotel very beautiful. The restaurant food was the best we had on the island.

Great classic hotel an easy walk from the ferry, town, and the Spring House. Friendly staff. Nice rooms (the rooms are fairly small). Lots of great outside space at the hotel. Excellent restaurant.

Hotel was prime location but building could use some work/upgrades. The biggest issue I had was that there was a farm behind it and every morning from 5am-8am a rooster crowed incessantly..

A lovely gem walkable to town in one direction and other hotels (especially Spring House where you can cocktail on the lawn) in the other direction. Having a room with a balcony was a plus for gorgeous breezes. But we forewarned, bathrooms are tiny.

Receptionist had zero personality. Almost like she was doing us a favor by checking us in. This is an aged hotel that has been updated. It was comfortable, clean and convenient. If you are looking for a place to lay your head, it would be fine. If you are looking for any hotel amenities, this is probably not your place.

The hotel staff was beyond amazing since I first booked and contacted them. I was traveling to propose and they helped when I was preparing the trip. The restaurant was unbelievably good, we were happily surprised with the quality of the food. The hotel staff was great enough to decorate the entire room with flowers and champagne at no extra charge after the proposal. The room was very clean with a nice balcony. I hope to return one day, thank you all for providing excellent service and going above and beyond to make our stay something extra special.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It’s an Easy walk to old harbor, the ferry, Ballards beach, shopping, 1661 farm and bicycle rentals. Friendly helpful staff at front desk and in housekeeping. The Hotel lobby is charming and comfortable with self serve coffee and water on hand. There’s also small bar inside the lobby and out on patio in front of the hotel. A perfect place to relax and watch the passersby. I Didn’t love the steep stairs to the third floor (no elevator, which is common in block island) but the room was lovely, had a queen bed and a distant water view. The air conditioning worked great, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and freshly decorated. The mini bar and snack selection in the room was reasonably priced. I would definitely go back.

Very cute little place to stay. A little pricey but was very close to all the shopping in Old Harbor. I would stay there again.

Great classic hotel an easy walk from the ferry, town, and the Spring House. Friendly staff. Nice rooms (the rooms are fairly small). Lots of great outside space at the hotel. Excellent restaurant.

Great quiet location only a 2 minute walk to downtown. Cute comfortable rooms with great AC. The outdoor bar was a hit!

Stayed on the last night of the season, the restaurant at the hotel was already closed, but the room was great, staff was super helpful. Will definitely stay here again!

Probably most central and I think most modern hotel on the island. Public spaces, lobby, gardens are lovely and rooms are well lit, beautifully appointed and very comfy beds. Keep in mind that it is a historic building so bathrooms are tight but mine was bright, updated, CLEAN with great hot water pressure. Good mirrors for makeup etc. mini fridge, mini split ac iron hair dryer everything you’ll need. Only reason not 5 stars is shoulder season restaurant was closed. But coffee and small bar served in lobby. Pretty gardens and porch!!

Great location, easy walk from ferry in Old Harbor with great dining options within East walking distance. Visiting midweek in early September ( PERFECT weather, less crowds ) made for an ideal 3 day getaway. Like having coffee available in lobby (2 flights down) but a walk to store for breakfast items needed ( hint there's a refrigerator in room so we knew to stick up for second morning) to be lazy!

The hotel staff was beyond amazing since I first booked and contacted them. I was traveling to propose and they helped when I was preparing the trip. The restaurant was unbelievably good, we were happily surprised with the quality of the food. The hotel staff was great enough to decorate the entire room with flowers and champagne at no extra charge after the proposal. The room was very clean with a nice balcony. I hope to return one day, thank you all for providing excellent service and going above and beyond to make our stay something extra special.

Lovely old well maintained property with a fantastic front porch offering cocktail and coffee service. Charming. Nice linens, a/c, comfortable beds. Our particular room was small but there are other larger rooms available. Polite staff. Look forward to visiting again!

The hotel was very pleasant. We really enjoyed the orange infused water in the lobby. The rooms were clean and stylish. And then a borrow is fully stocked. The bike rack right out front was very helpful. The porch was beautiful with the bar and the couches and the ceiling fans. Great location away from Town, so that was quite enough but close enough to town to go and be part of the action. Also, it was a surprise to see that there were cows corralled behind a fence neighboring the hotel very beautiful. The restaurant food was the best we had on the island.

My small room was a perfect size for one. Everything was clean. Beautiful grounds. Would’ve been nice to have some breakfast or lunch service there - just coffee/tea and dinner.

Overall a great experience. Staff lovely. Place is an inherently older building in align with the age of many of the other older hotels, with smaller showers than modern city hotels, carpets a bit dated when present, but rooms quiet, beds comfortable, a/c fully acceptable, very short/close walk to town and all facilities of town, morning coffee/tea service only in lobby, excellent restaurant in lower level, lunch and dinner only, a relaxed vibe in every way, comfortable, clean. Would go back.

The whole experience at Hotel Manisses was wonderful ! The front desk was very helpful and had great recommendations for restaurants. They had our room ready early so that gave us a chance to get situated and have an extra day at the beach. I can’t say anything negative about the whole experience.❤️

We planned for a two night stay, but our ferry back to NEW LONDON was cancelled the morning after our first night due to expected inclement weather. We had to head back to Connecticut and there was no refund, credit for future night, etc. available. Very expensive for the one night we stayed there.

The hotel let us checking 4 hours early. Then let us leave our luggage after check out. They were so kind and welcoming. I’d stay there again.
