Villa Eyrie Resort

We were not told that there is no longer a pool that has been taken out for either a Nordic spa eventually or an event area. Also we booked a room with a shower and tub and there is no tub, only shower - again was not told that flooring was being ripped up in many of those rooms. Very unimpressed with staying here (nothing to do) besides spend more money at the spa. Food at the restaurant was quite nice.

All around wonderful resort. The spa, the room and the staff were all amazing! Be prepared for lots of stairs but well worth it.

Set on a beautiful location with fantastic views of the inlet. The room jacuzzi was lovely. The indoor pool temperature was quite cool ( uncomfortable) but the pool itself was great. We’ll definitely go back.

A very nice, comfortable hotel with beautiful views. There wasn't an elevator, but the front desk offered to and did carry my luggage down the stairs for me and back up when checking out. Would have enjoyed more time there.

We had a wonderful time! There was an amazing spa! We had a room with a beautiful view of the mountains and a lovely balcony. There was air conditioning. There was a gym but we didn’t use w. The restaurant was amazing! From the views, cleanliness, waitstaff to the excellent food! We will definitely go back!

The spa and treatments are very high quality! Alpina Restaurant was great but expensive to have all your meals in. I didn’t like having to call shuttle for every spa, meal or other area too far to walk from rooms. Staff came quick but still would rather have everything all in one place. Lots of stairs even in some rooms so those who find stairs difficult shouldn’t stay here Pool not impressive. No hot tub but some rooms have a jacuzzi bath tub.

Very disappointed that upon entry into the main building to register for the room there is a sign for the pool, only to discover that the pool has been closed since Covid and is now permanently closed and will be converted into an "event center", presumably a banquet room for wedding receptions or conferences. Despite this fact the "resort" still charges a $25 resort fee. Even on the Expedia page it states that this fee is for use of the pool, amongst other things. This is a very deceptive practice. Hence upon arrival there is nothing really to do at this resort except for the view. The food in the restaurant is very good, but overpriced. There are about 8 choices for wines, none of which were less than $87 if I remember correctly. The service was very slow even though there were not many people there on a Tuesday night. My tv remote did not work, I had to walk right up to the tv to change channels when I discovered that the cable box was installed right behind the tv and therefore blocking the signal from the remote. The room was very hot since somebody had left both the heat and the gas fireplace on. The only way to cool down the room without leaving the patio door wide open was to turn on the AC, which is a ridiculous thing to have to do in late March. Without an indoor pool there is no reason to stay at this place anymore. Apart from the view the restaurant is really nothing special and there are many restaurants in Victoria just as good if not better and less expensive.

The Villa Eyrie is a wonderful retreat with great staff and fine rooms with great views. We were disappointed to find that there was no longer a swimming pool.at the resort. I understand this was removed to allow for and expansion of the conference facilities. Unfortunately this does limit your resort facilities to attract non-business guests such as ourselves and friends who recently visited. Hopefully, there may be new facility additions in the near future.

I don\'t often go to special hotels and I generally go for hotels in this price range but with very low expectations. From the moment of turning around the corner everyone in the car went "Wow" Villa Eyrie is situated along the malahat and it\'s got some stunning views, the building is beautiful and we were so excited to enter our room. When we did we were blown away by the amount of space we had in our room, the view again was stunning and my 18 month old boy got to run around in the garden playing with mushrooms. I was so happy with our stay and the staff were so helpful from check in to check out. We went to the restaurant in the morning for a breakfast and I\'m not exaggerating when I say it was the best breakfast I have ever had, the bacon legitimately melted in my mouth. Some of the things that could use improvement but aren\'t that big of an issue are that the pool was set to a very low temperature, to the point I didn\'t feel comfortable bringing my son in. The building is a bit older so the ampage in the outlets turned off when we connected a microwave. And this might just be a personal issue but as a new driver getting out of the hotel and back on the highway was a bit scary personally. I really enjoyed my stay at the Villa and will most assuredly stop by on other special occasions in the future.

The view and villa was beautiful. The room was very clean. We stayed in the master suite that has the jacuzzi in the room. Although it was only for one night, we enjoyed the experience. Room was big enough for 2 of us and a toddler.

Beautiful view. Some aspects were a bit dated but overall was great for the price. Some minor details were missed, such as a handwritten welcome card for the previous occupants were left behind and the hot tub was not super clean.

However, the property is older, and could use some up dating. the hallway outside of our room smelled terrible. We found the place to be clean otherwise. Our fireplace didn’t work well, nor did the TV remote. The view outside our window was beautiful, unfortunately we couldn’t see the ocean. The staff were lovely, generous with fridge re-stocking, and easy to work with. The restaurant is lovely and delicious. The property is stunning and the ocean view from the property is spectacular.

Beautiful views and clean

Booked a large suite last minute on Expedia, it was $200 off. Was such a nice one night getaway for my wedding anniversary. We had a giant soaker tub, and king bed. While the exterior of the place is a little dated, the interiors have been updated. Everything was so clean. The views around the property and from the restaurant are incredible.

Our stay at Villa Eyrie was exceptional! Our master suite was one of the nicest hotel rooms we have ever stayed. The tiered layout, wrap around deck and massive bath tub in the centre of the room were amazing! But nothing beats the exquisite view looking down Finalyson Arm. Breathtaking! Every staff member we encountered from the front desk staff to the grounds man were lovely and offered friendly and caring service. Our two meals at the Alpina restaurant were lovely as well. Truly a luxurious experience!

Property was well positioned for the views. Room was clean but mattress needs to be replaced. Lots of hwy noise, not much to do at the property, need to travel out for hiking etc. well positioned to travel up the hwy to other towns or down to Victoria. Staff are very friendly.

The room was great. Only issue was basic cable and no easy way to connect streaming device because of limitations of the wifi login system.

Yes the ocean was visible from our room. The Master suite is absolutely amazing the views from the room and the layout and comfort of the room makes it perfect.

Restaurant was lovely with great service. Small, older rooms with older smell. The rooms were a bit outdated for the price of the accommodation

Great staff, clean though a bit noisy coming from, I don’t know probably the pipes in the bathroom. But still had a nice time will be coming back for sure.

Outstanding staff and service from front desk staff, Tasha and Mike, and the best view you’re gonna find almost anywhere in the world. An unbelievable stay in a very clean and comfortable, and luxurious atmosphere. Highly recommended

The room was as advertised and the property is beautiful. The service was unfriendly and I felt very unwelcome. It’s a real shame, as I feel the property is so lovely and it could have been so wonderful if we had not felt so dismissed and looked down on. The check in person was being dismissive of the person in front of us, checked us in with absolutely no information. The restaurant people sat us in an empty restaurant and then tried to sit a group of five at the table right next to us, without a word. That experience improved enough that we did come back for dinner. We returned for dinner to a very poor experience. The server was rude, no mention was made of the birthday we were celebrating although I did inform them when I made the reservation, and we were treated to the presence of a real VIP to the restaurant, which showed us very well how little they cared for our business. You can have the prettiest buildings in the business but the hospitality industry does, in fact, need hospitality! Take your staff down to the fairmont and have them see how to behave.

Villa Eyrie provided an outstanding experience. We were beyond thrilled with our room, with the client care, check in & check out, the resort property, the views, the amenities, the toiletries, the wonderful linens, the in-room coffee and selection of glasses, the lovely furniture, even the window coverings and lighting was fabulous. We loved everything about our stay and can't wait to go back !!!!!

Beautiful place. Quiet and peaceful

Location was a little more secluded than I expected, but it was lovely to have personal time to collect myself and recollect. The restaurant was delicious. Good food good service nice variety of food. Front desk was always attended by more than one person. Nice mountain drives and plenty of lakes in every direction beautiful area and wonderfully nice people. I would go back again.

It was a fantastic discovery. We found it online and were impressed with the service, amenities, location and restaurant. We will surely recommend Villa Eyrie!

A very nice quiet place with spectacular mountain and river view. Only one dining option but Alpina Restaurant is pretty decent, specially brunch menu.

The property and views are beautiful! Maddie at the Tuscan Spa was phenomenal at her job. She was incredibly professional, friendly, and welcoming. She went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable during my treatments, ensured I was receiving the best treatment for my skin, and was inI would strongly recommend booking with her! The restaurant was also great. The food was delicious.

This property is great Very clean hardwood in bedroom for people with allergies Had dinner and breakfast there. Food is outstanding But. A 6 oz glass of wine ranged from 17-24$ a glass A 10 oz glass was 30-47$ A Glass We travel a lot and I’ve not seen prices like this. Just in New York , Nashville and Florida and nothing near this Didn’t have wine with dinner.

Fabulous restaurant, unbelievable views, beautiful

Four of us went up the hill for a wonderful night away and loved every minute. Dinner was excellent, our room had a beautiful view, and breakfast was fantastic. Taylor in the restaurant and Conrad at the bar and as host were outstanding — friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The whole team made us feel right at home. The property’s setting and views along the inlet are stunning. We’ll definitely be back!

Loved our stay! From the gorgeous rooms, beautiful views, to the kind staff and ah-MAZING restaurant! Had both brunch there as well as dinner and I just can’t recommend it enough!
