The property is beautiful and location is excelent, however the experience is not as polished as it should be for a One and Only. The supply, service areas and hack of the house where visible, hostess where missing from their posts and restaurants could feel desorganized. It could feel crowded and more like an economic all-inclusive than a luxury hotel. It may have been the weekend in particular. Guest experience executives were very helpful and courteous and made their best efforts to solve our complaints.

Beautiful Resort, Exceptional Staff, but a Disappointing End to Our Stay My wife and I had a wonderful but complicated time at One&Only Portonovi. The resort is beautiful and the staff is truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the level of service and hospitality. Our room was incredible, and the overall setting and staff made for a memorable stay. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by a major issue on our final day. I experienced severe food poisoning. We had not left the property at any point during our stay, and all of our meals, from breakfast through dinner, were eaten at the resort’s restaurants. While I cannot say with absolute certainty which meal caused it, we know it was here. It ultimately ruined our final day and made traveling home an incredibly difficult experience. What made the situation even more disappointing was the hotel’s response, or lack thereof. We contacted the hotel to inform them of what had happened, the severity of my symptoms, and that we had eaten exclusively at the resort throughout our stay. Unfortunately, nothing meaningful was done to address the situation. We were extremely disappointed by the lack of follow-up or help. The spa is beautiful, but our experience fell short of expectations, especially given the resort’s reputation. We were upsold on a “Neuroacoustic Deep Relaxation treatment” which turned out to be 30 mins of sound therapy on an iPad with headphones (lol). NOT worth the money.
