This was a clean and modern place. Stayed for four nights and we loved it! Location is perfect in Insadong area right next to beautiful Ikseon-Dong and close to city centre. The roof bar is really nice and with a great view!

Overall, 4 it of 5 stars. Clean, in a safe area, and convenient with the train entrance nearby. The elevators sometimes took a while and we could hear the person next to us, especially in the morning. I would stay again becuase of the vibe and the spacious room.

Excellent common spaces -- nice rooms with smart design to make the stay comfortable. Could not be more convenient with subway station right there and entrance right outside the door. Nice friendly staff. Only thing to note is the gym is a bit small with limited equipment. But excellent value for money and I will return.

The hotel was clean. Universal adaptors on all switches which is a huge bonus. Staff was kind and the breakfast Buffett was amazing. Accessibility of laundry was also a huge plus. Easy walking distance to the main palace, shrines AND you're right on 3 subway lines. Shopping in the alleys right across the street. The only two real negatives. one: we had a room which faced the street and it was noisty at times with music (but we were there over cheusok so maybe that's why?) It wasn't a consistent issue. Nothing some light ear plugs couldn't fix The second thing was the price of the rooftop beer/snak. It was very overpriced. Their honey highball was fantastic and worth it. We redeemed our free drink ticket and the drink was..... Drinkable sorta. But it was free so can't complain. Their cracker snack however was totally overpriced for saltines, boxed bread sticks and 3 dips (2 were the same). The bed was too firm for us but that is totally personal preference. Loved that you needed a key tap to access your floor.

Checkin at the roof bar, view of NamSan Tower. Get a free drink token. Rooms are small but clean. Location looks kinda rough during the day but don’t let that fool you. It turns into a night market daily that’s hopping with young crowds and pocha tents that are erected around 8pm-12am. Jungno3 with three trains are literally out the hotel door. Across the street is the infamous Hanok Village with traditional homes that have been converted into beautiful cafes and restaurants where KDramas have been filmed (“True Beauty” “Dokkebi”). We even walked to MyungDong in 25-30 min. The airport bus stops about 10 min walk away. Not bad, even with luggage. There’s a 연슾노래방 Practice NoreBang (karaoke) that’s cheap and so much fun across the street on 2F.

Busy community, but I think that's normal anywhere in Asia. Room is small, normal in Asia:-) Clean. Very young vibe. laundry facility is awesome for long-term travelers. Bar on roof-top with awesome view. Staff are accomodating. Centrally located with many transportation options. Lots of restaurants around and night live is definitely available.

We picked Moxy because of its location and the the facilities they provided (laundry facilities & luggage storage). We also loved the vibe of the surrounding. Staffs spoke English which is excellent. Overall the hotels we stayed so far, Moxy is the MOST memorable. We will stay again. Love it!

Do not stay here. I believe my jewelry was stolen. I had my jewelry in a small pouch and never wore it my entire trip. When I got to my new destination, my jewelry was no longer in the pouch. The rooms are outdated and you can tell the cleaning is not done well.

Réception au dernier étage, le lobby est occupé par une salle de jeu. Forte musique à l’arrivée. Deco hype mais avec des styles trop diversifiés. On dirait un empilement d’objets pas forcément assortis. Réception ne donnant pas un aspect de propreté. Couloirs industriels pas propres. Literie très molle. Salle de bain ok et moderne. Pdj avec bcp de choix mais encore une musique forte dès le matin. Style global décevant. Quartier vivant mais sale.

Hotel is right by the subway station and conveniently near many restaurants. It gets busy on weekend nights, but I couldn’t really hear the street noise even though my room faced it (maybe other reviewers have more sensitive ears). Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the room and bathroom were clean and had adequate space.

Location was excellent. I was traveling alone and felt 100% safe. Nice restaurants close by. The only drawback was the cleaning. I stayed for one week and they didn’t change the bedsheets once. Towels were changed every day. A lot of black hairs on the floor when I first entered the room. Drawers could need a clean. Apart from that it was perfect!

We loved our stay here, our room was small but had the biggest shower I’ve ever had. The nice little touches were appreciated, water in the fridge, nice robe. The location couldn’t be better for either walking or taking the subway. We didn’t use the rooftop bar as much as it was expensive and not that interesting up there: the space has potential for a great spot to hang out. Beds were comfy as well. Very quiet.

Great hotel in a great location. The hotel was super quiet, we even had a room right next to the elevator and never heard a thing. AC worked great during the heat wave. Loved the shower.

The stay was OK, the rooms are small but sufficient for a short stay. The main thing to be aware of is that the noise from the street food restaurants and bars right in front of the Hotel is clearly audible in the rooms facing the main road (Hotel entrance ).... Unfortunately we didn't really realize that until about 10pm when things get really busy....

The room was comfy and had a much bigger bathroom than expected. The shower in particular was amazing!! This hotel was the best start to our Korea trip would recommend for everyone.

駅から近く、コンビニも近くて便利です。施設自体も新しいようで清潔です。3階の部屋をアサインされたのですが、一晩中エントランスの音楽が部屋に響いていました。次の日部屋を代えてもらうことができたのですが、音楽は24時間鳴っているそうなので、静かな環境で寝たい方にはおすすめしません。また脱衣所に扉はないですし、トイレのドアもガラスのスライドドアだけなので音は筒抜けです。かなり親しい人とでないと厳しいと思います。

Location is great to walk around for food, shopping and visiting tourists spots. Friendly staff and welcoming free drinks were extra charm in a rooftop bar.

First stay (2 nights) in Seoul on our trip and this Hotel hit it out of the park: super clean, very quiet and staff were spot on attentive. Special shout out to Cindy, she helped me w/Korail KTX booking by calling ktx customer service to confirm reservation (korail website has issues). Didn't try breakfast but it looked good. Totally recommend this hotel and I would stay again. Great location too.

We did not have a working toilet for 3 out of 4 nights of our stay. On the 4th day we got moved to a new hotel room but they double booked the hotel room and two random guests walked in to our room while we were sleeping. In compensation for this traumatic experience, we only received a free beer coupon. They said they couldn’t do anything else for us because we booked through hotels.com The place was nice and clean enough otherwise but you are much better off staying at a different hotel.

The Moxy is a low service hotel, part of the Marriott Group. Reception was on 16 Floor at the bar. Mixed help from staff - some were helpful; others less so. Having reception on the top floor made getting help inconvenient - could not just ask a quick question on the way out. Breakfast was not very good. Paid for it because we were told it was "American" as well as Korean. Pastries were only edible on one day in the four days we were there (it was like they were reheating old stock - very tough (actually inedible) even when heated) Tuesday's offering of pastries however was perfectly prepared (so they could do it). Range of "3 seasonal fruit" included tinned fruit each day (which might have been seasonal (mainly tinned peaches) but definitely was not fresh). Had to ask for butter each day. No jam, only marmalade. East Asian breakfast stuff may well have been very good. Rooms were well cleaned each day. Nice room with good view over Seoul. Very well located - right by tube and near interesting cultural buildings (palaces, shrines and parks)

The location is right next to subway Jongno-3 ga, right across Ikseon-dong for cafe hopping, and 10 minutes walk to Insadong, however not as vibrant as Myeongdong and Hongdae. First night we got here it was snowing and airport bus dropped us on the opposite direction of Jongno-3 ga so we had to drag our heavy luggages across the streets to get here…I didn’t like the reception was on the 16th floor it’s not convenient. Overall the staff are quite helpful. Everything was pretty good, especially the separate shower and toilet design with sliding door was a fantastic idea. We had a pleasant stay!!

The location of Moxy is great - the hotel is conveniently located near the Jongno-3(sam)ga subway exit which makes connecting to other areas of Seoul very easy, and it is very walkable to Ikseondong, Insadong, Anguk and even to Gyeongbokgung Palace if you want a longer walk. The room was spacious, clean and well-designed. Staff were friendly and helpful although interaction was minimal (check in and check out only). I’d definitely stay again.

While the location of the hotel was very convenient—right outside a subway station—the surrounding area was quite busy at night, filled with pub-goers. As many others have mentioned, breakfast was excellent and offered great value for the cost.

We loved our stay here, our room was small but had the biggest shower I’ve ever had. The nice little touches were appreciated, water in the fridge, nice robe. The location couldn’t be better for either walking or taking the subway. We didn’t use the rooftop bar as much as it was expensive and not that interesting up there: the space has potential for a great spot to hang out. Beds were comfy as well. Very quiet.

Very well located hotel. Bathroom was nice and comfortable bed. The breakfast was so so and had the worst coffee we ever tasted. We started taking out from a bakery across the way for real coffee. Staff were very nice and helpful

The hotel was clean. Universal adaptors on all switches which is a huge bonus. Staff was kind and the breakfast Buffett was amazing. Accessibility of laundry was also a huge plus. Easy walking distance to the main palace, shrines AND you're right on 3 subway lines. Shopping in the alleys right across the street. The only two real negatives. one: we had a room which faced the street and it was noisty at times with music (but we were there over cheusok so maybe that's why?) It wasn't a consistent issue. Nothing some light ear plugs couldn't fix The second thing was the price of the rooftop beer/snak. It was very overpriced. Their honey highball was fantastic and worth it. We redeemed our free drink ticket and the drink was..... Drinkable sorta. But it was free so can't complain. Their cracker snack however was totally overpriced for saltines, boxed bread sticks and 3 dips (2 were the same). The bed was too firm for us but that is totally personal preference. Loved that you needed a key tap to access your floor.

Il Moxy è una struttura unica perchè unisce uno stile giovane e molto "trendy" ai pregi di un hotel di fascia alta. Bar sul tetto, sala giochi e intrattenimento gratuita, lavanderia e stanze grandi, moderne e pulite. Il tutto mixato in uno stile pop pieno di neon, musica e street art di lusso. Unico difetto - o pregio, dipende da cosa vi piace - la sera la strada diventa il centro della vita notturna con decine di venditori di street food, fritto ovunque, tavoli, tavolini tanto che si cammina a stento. Un caos... ma questa zona di Seoul di notte è fatta così! Per muoversi in città la metro è praticamente davanti all'entrata e le stradine tipiche di Myeongdong sono a pochi metri. Ottimo!

We stayed at the Moxy Insadong for 5 nights. When arriving we foud it a little weird that there is no reception desk in the lobby, you have to go up to the 16th floor. That being said, never had an issue with it. The room was ok size, very clean and well maintained during our stay. Also the room was very quiet even if the hotel is on a busy street with a lot of outdoor restaurant and people outside late at night. Very convienient you have a subway access right in front of the hotel. And the neiborhood is very nice also.

An amazing hotel I really recommend. The location is great, and within walking distance to alot of sightseeing, shopping and central Seoul. It is also located right next to a subway station making it quick to go anywhere. The rooms are new, modern, well kept, spacious, and many of them have a great view. There is a small gym, as well as other entertainment like arcade games. Facilities are well kept, and the design is really cool. Will definitely chose this hotel for every Seoul visit.

Very good location, the subway station just outside the hotel. Hotel located in "pocha" area, where the local normally hang out i the evening. Very Lively area in the night. But from the room you barely hear a noise from the Street. Just across the street then you will reach Insadong cafes area. Room clean and good size.
