The Bawley Hideaway - Modern Bawley Point hideaway near beach

Great location with stunning beaches within short walking distance. House was clean, tidy and family friendly. Lots of board/card games and the kitchen had all of the required appliances except a sandwich toaster would make it perfect. No wifi available. The parents didn't mind this too much but the (some adult, one teen) children were not so happy.

This was a good place to stay in terms of space and number of rooms but I think if you are going to continue to charge good money for it then some things need to be fixed. There was mold in the plug hole in the vanity unit in the main bathroom, and the skylight in that bathroom had mold all over it. There was also a leak under the vanity unit and there was water everywhere on the top shelf in the cabinet. The outside furniture on the deck, while sturdy enough to sit on, was very faded and sadly lacking in lacquer - it will not last for much longer if this is not done. The garden was also a tad overgrown and needed cutting back to avoid scratching cars in the driveway. Also overgrown at the front. Front steps looking as old as the outdoor furniture at the back, quite bendy underfoot and hard to climb for anyone with mobility issues. There should be a handrail at the front as the bottom step was quite steep. And we had to bring our own linen for this stay. It was ok but I'm disappointed considering the money I paid...
