About 20 stairs to negotiate, and parking is not ideal (street in fron of hotel or a hidden carpark out back - street seems safer option). Otherwise good value for money, well-located and on-site dining. No problems with hotel noise (Tuesday night).

Great location, very helpful and friendly staff. We had room 4 which was very spacious with a comfortable bed, kitchenette and en-suite. Heard some noise from the bar, but we had been told to expect this. Take ear plugs if you want an early night, or join the party downstairs.

All fine, except we were surprised by the shared bathroom situation. On the Hotels.com listing, the room is described as having a bathroom. Nowhere does the word 'shared' appear. We spent a couple of nights at the Woolpack Hotel. We stayed in the 'flat' and it was fabulous. Really spacious and would have been great for a family. Large lounge, kitchen, bathroom. There was music in the bar downstairs but it wasn't loud and didn't stop us from sleeping. Would certainly recommend the Woolpack Hotel.

Accommodation is in a pub. It will be noisy, however if better flooring was installed this could mitigate this problem. The other issue is the shared bathroom facilities which is locked and you have to use your room key to open. Not sure what is being protected other than toilet paper. So if you get up during the night be sure to take your room key.

The flat was nice and large. It was clearly very old and we’re quite a few mouldy spots. We definitely underestimated how loud the pub is downstairs and earplugs helped but you can still hear every single noise. The staff were friendly and was a convenient location.

Lovely clean rooms, huge comfy beds. Shower was amazing. Will Definately stay here again. We were pre warned about noise from music below. They supplied earplugs and we just took a sleeping tablet when we went to bed. Great night sleep.

Great renovated rooms, food at the hotel downstairs was convenient, tasty and well priced. We were aware of the live music that was playing till very late 2am but not the street leaf blowers which kicked in at 4:30am.

Additional $50 Charge was placed on CC after leaving. Manager claimed first that 2 additional people stayed in room (untrue) and that a mirror on back of door was smashed by us closing door when we left at 7 am. No proof provided. Amount not sufficient to report to police. Suggest that this is a scam where false claims are made and customers pay: Dodgy Dwelling

Very friendly hotel, wonderful service, close to town, beautiful aspect, spacious and clean. Beautiful food at the Chinese restaurant, great beer. Lovely to be able to have a drink and sit, under cover, on the footpath, and watch the world go by.

Very friendly hotel, wonderful service, close to town, beautiful aspect, spacious and clean. Beautiful food at the Chinese restaurant, great beer. Lovely to be able to have a drink and sit, under cover, on the footpath, and watch the world go by.

For $100 per night I can a queen sized bed and 2 single beds in my room. The shared shower was OK and expected. The pizza offerings at the bar were not great with the Ham and Pineapple Pizza I purchased was not properly cooked and the pineapple pieces all 6 of them were ice cold and huge. Apart from that the staff and venue was fine.

Just a great place, location clean, music, bar staff, Food awesome 10/10 would travel from Sydney for this Chinese Food alone...just a great place 10/10 for everything well done Thank you. WE WILL BE BACK....

We chose this property for it's historical value. Though quite old the owners have put a lot of work in to make it very comfortable. Would have liked a restaurant but the food from the Chinees take away was good.

A comfortable room, and quiet, although I was where on a week day. They advise weekends can be noisy, but did provide ear plugs if required. The Jumbuck Chinese restaurant attached to the hotel served very good food.

Clean spacious room with good bedlinen & towels etc was excellent value. Well located in the middle of town -- close to bakeries for breakfast.

Great food & drink options at the pub underneath the accommodation, friendly helpful staff and the room was clean and comfortable......BUT.....OMG.....it was the night from hell with all the noise from the pub below and the customers loud drunk voices coming from inside the pub and also outside the pub under my room at the front of the pub until nearly 4am!! The pub is open until 2am on the Thursday night I stayed, but groups of people were still partying on in the main street outside the pub after they closed in groups with wild loud driving too!! I was worried about my car parked right outside the pub all night!!.......the parking advertised was about 3 spots at the back of the pub and only street parking in front of the pub. The rooms at the back of the pub might have been quieter.....but somehow, I doubt everyone got a good night sleep, especially when room 8 left me with a very sleepless night and to then continue working and driving 5hrs home the next day. The shared bathroom was also out of toilet paper in the morning in both toilets, which was far from ideal. Yes, it's in a pub, yes, it's at a lower price point to some accommodation in town.....but it was not a dorm, I was still paying for accommodation that did look great & present well online.....not expecting no respect for any paying guests to actually get some sleep and to hope their car is ok the next day! Great place for dining in the pub etc.....but staying here again is a definite no from me!

You’re staying above a pub. Dilapidated property, think “post soviet chic”. If you need a place to sleep, it’ll do. If you are looking for a cute spot, move on! No AC in bedrooms.
