I have stayed at the Crown Plaza before & enjoyed the location, facilities & breakfast so wanted to come back. This stay was both great & could have been better. On arrival I asked for a quiet room on a higher level. The height of the room couldn’t be changed due to availability (understandable) - the girl on reception looked & was helpful. I ended up on level two & the noise from the road was very loud. I hadn’t heard this during my previous stay. Luckily I had earplugs otherwise I would not have slept at all. My room was clean other than the over sight of a half eaten protein bar left in my fridge - oops. And when I realised I had forgotten my hair straighteners for an event the guy on reception managed to find me a spare pair to borrow that are allocated to the suites. I did have to ask a couple of times but he was overall very helpful and went over and above to help me. Breakfast at this hotel is great and not expensive at all if you pay on check in. I would definitely come back but staying on a higher floor would be a necessity.

We got the breakfast at the hotel, which seemed like a good idea. The buffet is lightly furnished, but the real issue came as one of the wait staff followed me as I was getting food, checking to see what I was getting to eat. She made me very uncomfortable standing over my shoulder, almost approving or disapproving what and how much I was taking.

We had a great experience staying at Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour. The staff were very friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived until our departure. After checkout, they kindly stored our luggage for a few hours, which allowed us to walk around the city and have lunch comfortably before returning to collect our bags and head home. The hotel is also well equipped with a gym and a beautiful infinity pool. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay here again. Cheers, James and Sarah
