We stayed here for a week and had an absolutely exceptional experience. The room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless, and the whole building was kept to the highest standard of cleanliness. The standout feature was the beautiful garden, full of gorgeous plants with both sunny spots and plenty of shade, along with a very clean and inviting pool that was perfect for cooling off. What really made our stay so special was our wonderful host. He was incredibly helpful, going above and beyond when we had some car issues by ringing around local garages and helping us get everything sorted. He was also very knowledgeable about the local area, from things to do in and around Álora to hidden gems further afield, and his advice really helped us refine our itinerary for the week. On top of that, he was warm, kind and easygoing, which made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived, even when we got there very late at nearly half past one in the morning. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening and it was fantastic. If you do not want to venture into Álora, which also has a great choice of bars and restaurants, this is a perfect option after a long day of travelling. We had a car but it is also really conveniently placed for the train station, so it is ideal for people who do not have a rental for the week. Overall this was a perfect stay with a brilliant mix of comfort, beautiful surroundings, and the most wonderful hospitality. We could not recommend it highly enough

Olivier was a wonderful host. He carried my bag upstairs for me! The pool/garden are and patio next to our room were very comfortable places to relax. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious down to the freshly made crepes with himemade compotes. Free parking right next to the house.

De 10! Instalaciones muy limpias, habitaciones amplias luminosas, baños nuevos y muy limpios, cama y almohadas comodísimas, lugar silenciosos y el desayuno muy completo y rico. Además comimos allí y cantidades abundantes y ricas. Oliver cuida hasta el más mínimo detalle. El patio es precioso y la piscina soleada y al haber pocas habitaciones prácticamente dispones de las instalaciones para tí. Lugar para relajarse y para repetir! Muy recomendable!

The hosts are very responsive and very nice. The place is spotless and the pool is amazing. If you come by train, the station is right across the hotel but you won’t hear it at night as it stops early. Visit the beautiful city of Alora and perfect stay to visit Caminito del Rey! Would recommend.

This hotel is delightful! The owners are so friendly and welcoming. We loved everything about this hotel. It is charming, spotlessly clean and the breakfast was superb. We enjoyed a night cap from the bar in front of a warm stove in the living room . The weather was cold this January so every comfort was provided. Olivier, the owner looked after us very well and we will definitely return. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the train station and there is a bus nearby which takes you to town centre in 5 minutes. It is also possible to walk up to visit the Arab Castle from the hotel. A steep walk but worth it! I cannot recommend El Cielo Azul highly enough. Be sure to stay there if you’re visiting Alora .

La beauté des lieux intérieurs et de la cours sont exceptionnels. B&B de grande qualité en commençant par l’accueil de notre hôte et de ses services. En plus il parle français qui est un plus pour nous. La cours aménagée en jardin et ayant une belle piscine ce décor nous a convaincu de prendre nos repas du soir sur place. Le petit-déjeuner inclus est copieux et plusieurs produits fait maison. Bon choix de bières belges, locales et européennes. Bien situé pour se promener dans la région comme le Caminito del rey. Avantage d’être accessible en train car adossé à la gare mais sans ses inconvénients. Coin très tranquille.

We had a great time here, we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for Oliver to ensure we enjoyed our holiday. Great choice of food for breakfast and they were happy to make us an omelette when we asked! We ate here on 2 evenings, due to not many local restaurants being open (Sunday and Monday) and the food was very nice. The pool is lovely and much bigger than I was expecting for such a small hotel. Sun beds would benefit from having shade provided by umbrella’s as they didn’t fall into shade until late in the afternoon. Our room was big enough and had an air-con unit which was needed. The hotel provides 4 hours of air-con use daily and you can top this up at a cost of €1 for every additional 4 hours. The bathroom was very clean and modern. We would recommend El Cielo Azul for a lovely, relaxing stay.

This was a lovely hotel and would rate it higher than a 2 star. It was spotlessly clean, open and airy. Good air conditioning. Nice gardens and pool. Felt very homely and friendly. Breakfast was fresh and good choices. With fresh fruit, pancakes bread and meats. Plenty of parking at the property and just around the corner. Was very safe. Staff were great, friendly, hard working and would help with where to dine and activities. Nothing too much bother. Train station very close, giving easy access to surrounding towns and cities. You could walk into Alora but it was very up hill. Or short drive.

Wir waren für eine Nacht hier, nach einer Wanderung auf dem Caminito del Rey. Die Unterkunft ist landestypisch und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Bad ist neu und die Zimmer sind geräumig. Das Frühstück war lecker und man kann draußen im hübsch gestalteten Garten sitzen. Der Ort Arola ist ebenfalls sehenswert. Es ist ein hübsches Bergdorf und liegt in einem schönen grünen Tal. Beim nächsten Mal bleiben wir länger.

Wonderful, very friendly and attentive owners. Our room overlooked a train station - but it was not a bother and sort of charming in its own way. The family room was big, comfortable and clean. We felt really welcomed and looked after. The breakfast was a nice treat.

Fantastsch verblijf in El Cielo Azul. Gastheer Olivier was de beste gastheer ooit! Het ontbijtbuffet uitgebreid en heerlijke pannenkoeken. Uiterst nette b&b. De omgeving zeer mooi. Wil je naar het centrum van Alora, verwacht je aan een steile korte wandeling. Veel leuke activiteiten in de omgeving.

We stayed here for a week and had an absolutely exceptional experience. The room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless, and the whole building was kept to the highest standard of cleanliness. The standout feature was the beautiful garden, full of gorgeous plants with both sunny spots and plenty of shade, along with a very clean and inviting pool that was perfect for cooling off. What really made our stay so special was our wonderful host. He was incredibly helpful, going above and beyond when we had some car issues by ringing around local garages and helping us get everything sorted. He was also very knowledgeable about the local area, from things to do in and around Álora to hidden gems further afield, and his advice really helped us refine our itinerary for the week. On top of that, he was warm, kind and easygoing, which made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived, even when we got there very late at nearly half past one in the morning. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening and it was fantastic. If you do not want to venture into Álora, which also has a great choice of bars and restaurants, this is a perfect option after a long day of travelling. We had a car but it is also really conveniently placed for the train station, so it is ideal for people who do not have a rental for the week. Overall this was a perfect stay with a brilliant mix of comfort, beautiful surroundings, and the most wonderful hospitality. We could not recommend it highly enough

Wir waren für eine Nacht hier, nach einer Wanderung auf dem Caminito del Rey. Die Unterkunft ist landestypisch und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Bad ist neu und die Zimmer sind geräumig. Das Frühstück war lecker und man kann draußen im hübsch gestalteten Garten sitzen. Der Ort Arola ist ebenfalls sehenswert. Es ist ein hübsches Bergdorf und liegt in einem schönen grünen Tal. Beim nächsten Mal bleiben wir länger.

We had a great time here, we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for Oliver to ensure we enjoyed our holiday. Great choice of food for breakfast and they were happy to make us an omelette when we asked! We ate here on 2 evenings, due to not many local restaurants being open (Sunday and Monday) and the food was very nice. The pool is lovely and much bigger than I was expecting for such a small hotel. Sun beds would benefit from having shade provided by umbrella’s as they didn’t fall into shade until late in the afternoon. Our room was big enough and had an air-con unit which was needed. The hotel provides 4 hours of air-con use daily and you can top this up at a cost of €1 for every additional 4 hours. The bathroom was very clean and modern. We would recommend El Cielo Azul for a lovely, relaxing stay.

Wonderful, very friendly and attentive owners. Our room overlooked a train station - but it was not a bother and sort of charming in its own way. The family room was big, comfortable and clean. We felt really welcomed and looked after. The breakfast was a nice treat.

Olivier was a wonderful host. He carried my bag upstairs for me! The pool/garden are and patio next to our room were very comfortable places to relax. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious down to the freshly made crepes with himemade compotes. Free parking right next to the house.

La beauté des lieux intérieurs et de la cours sont exceptionnels. B&B de grande qualité en commençant par l’accueil de notre hôte et de ses services. En plus il parle français qui est un plus pour nous. La cours aménagée en jardin et ayant une belle piscine ce décor nous a convaincu de prendre nos repas du soir sur place. Le petit-déjeuner inclus est copieux et plusieurs produits fait maison. Bon choix de bières belges, locales et européennes. Bien situé pour se promener dans la région comme le Caminito del rey. Avantage d’être accessible en train car adossé à la gare mais sans ses inconvénients. Coin très tranquille.

This was a lovely hotel and would rate it higher than a 2 star. It was spotlessly clean, open and airy. Good air conditioning. Nice gardens and pool. Felt very homely and friendly. Breakfast was fresh and good choices. With fresh fruit, pancakes bread and meats. Plenty of parking at the property and just around the corner. Was very safe. Staff were great, friendly, hard working and would help with where to dine and activities. Nothing too much bother. Train station very close, giving easy access to surrounding towns and cities. You could walk into Alora but it was very up hill. Or short drive.

Lovely couple run this B&B from Belgium, Gave great local advice on where to eat and visit, cooked great food including breakfast. Beautiful historic house by the station but didn't notice the trains which run quietly.

De 10! Instalaciones muy limpias, habitaciones amplias luminosas, baños nuevos y muy limpios, cama y almohadas comodísimas, lugar silenciosos y el desayuno muy completo y rico. Además comimos allí y cantidades abundantes y ricas. Oliver cuida hasta el más mínimo detalle. El patio es precioso y la piscina soleada y al haber pocas habitaciones prácticamente dispones de las instalaciones para tí. Lugar para relajarse y para repetir! Muy recomendable!
De 10! Instalaciones muy limpias, habitaciones amplias luminosas, baños nuevos y muy limpios, cama y almohadas comodísimas, lugar silenciosos y el desayuno muy completo y rico. Además comimos allí y cantidades abundantes y ricas. Oliver cuida hasta el más mínimo detalle. The hosts are very responsive and very nice. The place is spotless and the pool is amazing. If you come by train, the station is right across the hotel but you won’t hear it at night as it stops early. Visit the beautiful city of Alora and perfect stay to visit Caminito del Rey! Would recommend.

This hotel is delightful! The owners are so friendly and welcoming. We loved everything about this hotel. It is charming, spotlessly clean and the breakfast was superb. We enjoyed a night cap from the bar in front of a warm stove in the living room . The weather was cold this January so every comfort was provided. Olivier, the owner looked after us very well and we will definitely return. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the train station and there is a bus nearby which takes you to town centre in 5 minutes. It is also possible to walk up to visit the Arab Castle from the hotel. A steep walk but worth it! I cannot recommend El Cielo Azul highly enough. Be sure to stay there if you’re visiting Alora .

If you do not want to venture into Álora, which also has a great choice of bars and restaurants, this is a perfect option after a long day of travelling. We had a car but it is also really conveniently placed for the train station, so it is ideal for people who do not have a rental for the week. Overall this was a perfect stay with a brilliant mix of comfort, beautiful surroundings, and the most wonderful hospitality. We could not recommend it highly enough
We stayed here for a week and had an absolutely exceptional experience. The room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless, and the whole building was kept to the highest standard of cleanliness. The standout feature was the beautiful garden, full of gorgeous plants with both sunny spots and plenty of shade, along with a very clean and inviting pool that was perfect for cooling off. What really made our stay so special was our wonderful host. He was incredibly helpful, going above and beyond when we had some car issues by ringing around local garages and helping us get everything sorted. He was also very knowledgeable about the local area, from things to do in and around Álora to hidden gems further afield, and his advice really helped us refine our itinerary for the week. On top of that, he was warm, kind and easygoing, which made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived, even when we got there very late at nearly half past one in the morning. Olivier was a wonderful host. He carried my bag upstairs for me! The pool/garden are and patio next to our room were very comfortable places to relax. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious down to the freshly made crepes with himemade compotes. Free parking right next to the house.

We stayed overnight before going to the Caminito del Rey in the morning.The B & B was awesome!! The hosts were great!! We had dinner and drinks out by the pool and it was really, really good. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. We really enjoyed staying here and our only regret was we couldn’t stay longer. Thanks Brad & Kris

La beauté des lieux intérieurs et de la cours sont exceptionnels. B&B de grande qualité en commençant par l’accueil de notre hôte et de ses services. En plus il parle français qui est un plus pour nous. La cours aménagée en jardin et ayant une belle piscine ce décor nous a convaincu de prendre nos repas du soir sur place. Le petit-déjeuner inclus est copieux et plusieurs produits fait maison. Bon choix de bières belges, locales et européennes. Bien situé pour se promener dans la région comme le Caminito del rey. Avantage d’être accessible en train car adossé à la gare mais sans ses inconvénients. Coin très tranquille.

We had a great time here, we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for Oliver to ensure we enjoyed our holiday. Great choice of food for breakfast and they were happy to make us an omelette when we asked! We ate here on 2 evenings, due to not many local restaurants being open (Sunday and Monday) and the food was very nice. The pool is lovely and much bigger than I was expecting for such a small hotel. Sun beds would benefit from having shade provided by umbrella’s as they didn’t fall into shade until late in the afternoon. Our room was big enough and had an air-con unit which was needed. The hotel provides 4 hours of air-con use daily and you can top this up at a cost of €1 for every additional 4 hours. The bathroom was very clean and modern. We would recommend El Cielo Azul for a lovely, relaxing stay.

Oliver was super nice host. Room was top notch. Hotel has an amazing picturesque garden with pool. Lots of fruit trees in the garden. We are vegetarian and Oliver made sure to provide a great breakfast for us.

This was a lovely hotel and would rate it higher than a 2 star. It was spotlessly clean, open and airy. Good air conditioning. Nice gardens and pool. Felt very homely and friendly. Breakfast was fresh and good choices. With fresh fruit, pancakes bread and meats. Plenty of parking at the property and just around the corner. Was very safe. Staff were great, friendly, hard working and would help with where to dine and activities. Nothing too much bother. Train station very close, giving easy access to surrounding towns and cities. You could walk into Alora but it was very up hill. Or short drive.

Nous n’avons passé qu’une nuit au Cielo Azul mais avons beaucoup apprécié cette maison d’hôtes. Alors que nous devions nous lever très tôt pour faire le caminito del Rey, Olivier a eu la gentillesse de nous préparer un très bon petit déjeuner !

Très bon séjour au sein du B&B El Cielo Azul, maison « familiale », chambre confortable et salle de bains également. Localisation parfaite pour rejoindre le Caminito del Rey. Petit déjeuner maison de très bonne qualité. Propriétaires très sympathiques. Piscine et jardin très agréable. Nous recommandons!

Very helpful staff, and the room was very beautiful and unique! Location is great due to proximity to train station, very easy to get to and from the hotel to Malaga center but also calm because the train schedule is not very frequent. Breakfast was excellent and the garden and swimming pool were well maintained and beautiful. Overall a great spot to stay!

The hotel is lovely and the owners are friendly and helpful. The pool is beautiful and a great place to relax. Breakfast was good quality. The hotel is walking distance from the station, and a good base for hiking and exploring Álora. Food is available in the evening and there is a bar service with a good selection of drinks. We enjoyed our stay and intend to return. Would highly recommend.
