This was a beautifully decorated room in a small row of detached chalets. Everything about the place was light modern & attractive. But there was no one there to show you to the room or give any help. Just an emergency telephone number. In fact the radiator in the room didn’t work & we called the number. A young woman came & moved us to a different room with working radiator. The restaurant attached to the rooms was closed & there was nowhere nearby to get a meal. We drove into Ampthill which was the nearest eating place. When I booked the room hours earlier I received a phone call telling me that my booking shouldn’t have been accepted as the ? Manager was just leaving- with hindsight I should have cancelled the booking & found somewhere else.

We booked this room as we were going to a restaurant in the next village and rather get a taxi from.home decided to stay more local. The pub which own the rooms is a beautiful country pub, with good food. The rooms are immaculately kept. Clean and fresh. There are tea and coffee facilities in the room. If you need an irion you can request this. Breakfast is not included i the price, however they supply, porridge and breakfast biscuits in the room for you. I would recommend this place to anyone, and would love to come and stay again.

Very picturesque & welcoming Inn, excellent & friendly service throughout from an early check in to a free drink on arrival, our room was comfortable & clean with breakfast items available in the room, also tea,coffee & hot chocolate. Dinner was available in the pub dining room,pricey but extremely tasty. We will return.

Very disappointing to find out that the pub is not open on a Monday or Tuesday and is NOT mentioned in their description on here. The first I became aware of it was when I was contacted by the property on the day I was due to arrive meaning if you then decide to cancel you would still have to pay for the room. This meant I had to rethink my evening plans and drive out of my way in the morning to find a suitable breakfast. I also had to try and get hold of somebody on arrival as the lights in the room wouldn’t work. On a side note if you are going to be shut for food for two days you might want to think about equipping the rooms (which was a lovely room to be fair) with a small fridge.

Lovely pub, the food and service was excellent and the room was of a very high standard. The only thing that could be improved is offering a cooked breakfast rather than a continental breakfast.

Obviously for a pub with rooms the facilities are relatively limited, but the rooms themselves are very modern and attractive, and quite spacious. The checkin was efficient despite being an additional task for a busy restaurant front of house manager. A pleasant place for a night or two if visiting or passing through the area. The pub restaurant is quite large, with a number of different appealing rooms including a conservatory. Very much a dog people's pub which even though not currently a dog owner, gave me a lot of pleasure to watch. The food is standard pub food but very well done. It's an isolated village so there's a limited amount else to do for most people, but of course it's quiet and charming.

Stayed at The George Inn for a long weekend whilst visiting family. The room was lovely, clean & very cosy. Towels etc changed daily. Kettle & coffee machine in the room, stocked well with all you need. Water, juice & snacks also available. I didn't get chance to have a meal this time as so busy. I will definitely stay again & make sure I have a meal next time. I would definitely recommend to stay here!

The room was beautiful and tastefully furnished. Spotless, lovely room and en suite Easy breakfast provided in with the price and everything well thought out to make your stay perfect. Before we arrived I spoke to a lovely gentleman who arranged for a bottle of champagne to be put in the wedding couples room along with a card which was really appreciated. From the moment we arrived the staff were really lovely, the lady who checked us in promptly showed us to our room which was absolutely amazing! The little touches of the porridge pot’s & orange juice were lovely! Makes a nice change to have plenty of sockets in a room too. The shower had great water pressure and the toiletries were really good. We ate in the pub and the food was exceptional along with the attentive staff, we didn’t have to wait long for our meals and we’d been told on arrival our 1st drink was free. I unsuccessfully tried to book an Uber to the wedding venue we were attending and a lovely lad behind the bar ordered one for us which was there in minutes which was really appreciated! All in all we had a fabulous experience and would highly recommend!

Everything was great. The people, the place, the room. Everything spot on and to top it off my first drink was free. So sat in the sunshine with a nice drink mid afternoon. Will stay again. Need to try the food next time.

Really friendly staff, great location and an outstanding room with lots of helpful additions. Breakfast, coffees, water everything you need for a convenient and friction free overnight. Restaurant food and service level was also excellent. thank you. Well done.

We had a problem with the key card to enter our room . We had trouble locking the door at night and in the morning struggled for a long time to unlock it. Very unsatisfactory.

The pub which own the rooms is a beautiful country pub, with good food. The rooms are immaculately kept. Clean and fresh. There are tea and coffee facilities in the room. If you need an irion you can request this. Breakfast is not included i the price, however they supply, porridge and breakfast biscuits in the room for you. I would recommend this place to anyone, and would love to come and stay again.

Stayed at The George Inn for a long weekend whilst visiting family. The room was lovely, clean & very cosy. Towels etc changed daily. Kettle & coffee machine in the room, stocked well with all you need. Water, juice & snacks also available. I didn't get chance to have a meal this time as so busy. I will definitely stay again & make sure I have a meal next time. I would definitely recommend to stay here!

Very picturesque & welcoming Inn, excellent & friendly service throughout from an early check in to a free drink on arrival, our room was comfortable & clean with breakfast items available in the room, also tea,coffee & hot chocolate. Dinner was available in the pub dining room,pricey but extremely tasty. We will return.

Really friendly staff, great location and an outstanding room with lots of helpful additions. Breakfast, coffees, water everything you need for a convenient and friction free overnight. Restaurant food and service level was also excellent. thank you. Well done.

Obviously for a pub with rooms the facilities are relatively limited, but the rooms themselves are very modern and attractive, and quite spacious. The checkin was efficient despite being an additional task for a busy restaurant front of house manager. A pleasant place for a night or two if visiting or passing through the area. The pub restaurant is quite large, with a number of different appealing rooms including a conservatory. Very much a dog people's pub which even though not currently a dog owner, gave me a lot of pleasure to watch. The food is standard pub food but very well done. It's an isolated village so there's a limited amount else to do for most people, but of course it's quiet and charming.

This was one of the most charming places I've stayed. Staff was all so kind and friendly and accommodating. Got their fish & chips my first meal there, and it was p h e n o m e n a l. ONLY thing I would recommend is adding a hot breakfast option! I honestly did not need/want it while I was there with my schedule and was perfectly happy without (they were kind to provide breakfast oats/juice/bars), but it would be a great add-on to consider providing a hot breakfast for future customers! Would definitely add to the value/charm of the stay. :) Everything was lovely, and I would 100% stay there again if I am ever in the area again.

Wonderful Pub, excellent staff, great drinks, amazing food.... only two -ve - we would have preferred a King bed or twin, and something hot for breakfast, such as a bacon sandwich would have been lovely. BUT... very minor gripes when everything was so perfect.

Lovely pub, the food and service was excellent and the room was of a very high standard. The only thing that could be improved is offering a cooked breakfast rather than a continental breakfast.

Great hotel room. Rooms actually separate to the pub, and felt so spacious and well designed. Bathroom lovely and modern, good shower and toiletries. Snacks in the room were a nice touch. Staff were welcoming. We ate dinner in the pub which was nice. Sadly breakfast offered is only continental, it was nice but maybe a bit more choice/variety of things would be good since hot food isn’t offered. Only other thing parking is good but on a hot summer day the car park gets full with pub patrons and there’s no dedicated parking for guests. Small minuses, and overall a lovely place and would stay again
