Det var en noget ringe oplevelse, elendig seng og fitness der ellers er fine foto af er på den anden side af vejen og koster 200kr. pr. dag.

I arrived at the hotel and reception and was directed to a co-located bungalow in a separate building across the partially lit car park entry. The entry was key card and on a dark night on entering, the front secure entry door so security was a concern as a woman travelling on her own. On entering the room there was a strong smell of sweat and stale urine which consumed the air and spoiled the entire stay . I did sleep overnight as it was late on arrival but the carpet or bed or both is the issue. A standard room but spoiled the stay. I won’t be back.

First of all, Burntwood is a fabulous hotel. We stopped for my partners 50th birthday so we could visit family in the local area. I can’t fault the cleanliness of our room. It was spotless! Bathroom needs updating and for a superior room the bed should have been bigger. Staff in all areas were professional and a big shout out to the staff and manger of the bar and restaurant, they work hard and always smiling! Brilliant hospitality service. We unfortunately didn’t get to use the pool and facilities and as hotel guests didn’t know if you had to book or could just pop in. Further explanation of this in the room would be helpful. The car charging points were also available which was great. We had a really lovely stay and the hotel, bar and overall experience was fantastic. Whoever oversees and owns this place has really worked hard to make this a really special experience for weddings, spa, health club and hotel guests. We will be back without doubt! Thanks Burntwood.

Everything was ok. The television is tiny. The shower is over the bath and has a material shower curtain. The water was nicely hot though and the cleaning staff are pleasant and helpful. Its a bit in the middle of nowhere and charging £20 extra to use the gym is a cheek.

Check-in 2pm … the exact time the swimming pool became unavailable for anyone staying at the hotel. Riddle me that. I mean in a way we dodged a bullet, because for anyone booking indirect (i.e. here on hotels.com) if it’s the weekend it’s £20 per adult and £10 per child. Thats adds up. Perhaps I didn’t read the hotel details well enough before booking. Limited energy to go back and check. However the comment I received from the very pleasant ladies on the spa reception when I queried the above was quite insightful .. ‘yes lots of people complain about the swimming’ talks more to misdirection and misinformation on advertised services than anything else.
