Nice hotel and facilities,, really good leisure facilities but the food was mediocre for dining. warm not hot, dried mushrooms for the steak and cold chips and onion rings. When I mentioned the staff just apologized and took my plate.

Booked the hotel as it stated a gym on Expedia. Was told by reception that gym use was an additional £20. Checked Expedia details again and in small print, it stated that "pool" use was £20. I only used the gym. Just seems a steep price when youve already paid for a room. The room itself was adequate, very little toileries. (2 x tiny shower gels) and the shower overflowed on the 2 occasions that i used it. Staff were friendly and helpful at breakfast when they wrapped my breakfast to go.

The rooms are alright. The bathroom was alright. The shower was very small. IF you book through hotels.com then you have to pay £20 per day to use the facilities i.e. Gym. Not good. The food in the bar was Okay. The staff at the hotel were very good and friendly.

Enjoyed it here and would stay again,service and food were good,only criticism is if you don’t book directly with the hotel you have to pay for use of the gym and the spa which isn’t cheap,plus breakfast wasn’t included.

X1 night stay. Rating was high 7's - however it should be mid 8's. Good value for money, clean, quiet and a comfy bed. The gym is as good as youll get when working away from home. The staff were all v.pleasant and accomodating.

I’ve stayed here many times. Rooms are clean, tidy and well looked after. The TV is very small though, so if you want to watch something, it could be a bit of a challenge. The hotel is in a safe countryside area. I like that there’s nothing else around, but others might prefer more nearby. Hot fresh breakfast is good, but the coffee isn’t great. I’d like to see more fruit and yoghurt options as I don’t eat a full breakfast. I’ll happily stay again.

Good quality room. Very clean but room on ground floor has no privacy as over looks car park with only curtains no blinds, so on summer evening had to close curtains for privacy.

2 night stay whilst visiting friends that live near by. Comfortable, clean room. I thought tv was a little too small and struggled to see the programmes at times. Also, as I was in the building separate from the main hotel I felt a little uneasy coming back at night (as I was travelling alone), and room was at the far end at the back of the building. Staff were friendly, nice breakfast and bar and restaurant were good. Definitely stay again

Had a fabulous weekend here with family We ate in the restaurant the food was amazing as was the service. Everywhere was spotless and the beds are so comfortable. The only downside was there was no main light in the room just lamps which made getting ready in the evening a bit of a pain

I stay away with business everyweek and so have for many years this hasvto be the alround worst hotel i have ever stayed i it wasnt chesp for what i had the lady on reception was so rude on three occasions.The bed was very unconfortable,the room was dirty the room was noisy.i wasnt told the gym was extra andvthe breakfast wasnt included.

I didn't like the fact there was no water in room on arrival also i paid £10 for 4 bottles of water to make tea and coffee also the plug in the sink was stuck when i got it out it was filthy with paper and long dark hairi have taken a picture of the plug apart from that it was fin just the carpets were sated

Upon check in i was told leave the building to go to an annexe, couldnt find annexe so had to return to main reception to be shown where i needed to go. the annexe was dirty, smelly, stunk of cigarettes and the room was in poor condition. i complained and got moved to main hotel where the room wasnt much better.

The hotel was very very nice with helpful staff and very clean accomodation. Every aspect of our visit was catered for and the wedding and reception was excellent with nothing forgotten and presented in style. The only and only aspect which was not quite right for me was that the hotel was a little cold bearing in mind the wether outside.

Nice, clean hotel in quiet surroundings however staff came across rather stern and not particularly friendly. Beds were hard and uncomfortable and the walls were thin as we could hear next door coughing all night. Shower was very loud and again we could next doors shower when they turned it on at 5am. Overall it was ok.

Ive stayied here many times, good for the price, areas of my room were slighlty tired especially the bed side tables. The tv in the room is incredibly small. Shower and bathroom, superb. Room 8 is near the exit which would be fine if the main doors had a soft close. Breakfast good. Overal id stay again, no major problems.

Unfortunately the hotel was very busy with a wedding and the noise, slamming of doors, loud noise was woeful. We tried ringing at 01:00am to complain but no-one answered. We eventually got to sleep around 1:45. The room looked tired and worn. When we complained to reception the following morning there was a total disinterest and lack of concern. We will not be staying here again.

Unfortunately the hotel was very busy with a wedding and the noise, slamming of doors, loud noise was woeful. We tried ringing at 01:00am to complain but no-one answered. We eventually got to sleep around 1:45. The room looked tired and worn. When we complained to reception the following morning there was a total disinterest and lack of concern. We will not be staying here again.

Actually laughable this is a 5 star. We had a superior room. Room was severely dated, there was no main light for the room, just two lamps, my wife advises this makes it quite dark/difficult to get ready on a night. The only full length mirror was in the bathroom again same issue as previous. the double bed looked tiny, perhaps was a small double?! For the price paid and the 5* expectation, I was sourly disappointed, I would go as far to say they are getting away with it due to the fact there is no close competition, would take a premier inn over this drab affair, oh and at half the price no less.

great place to stay but customer service was shocking. i had covid so could not go and when i contacted the hotel they would not cancel the stay or even move it to another date so i had to give the night away to a friend. shocking service. will not stay again.

Staff were excellent, on the boil all day.venue was absolutely amazing and the room we stayed in was excellent. Would recommend to everyone. Thanks again to everyone who made our stay very welcoming.

Staff were excellent, on the boil all day.venue was absolutely amazing and the room we stayed in was excellent. Would recommend to everyone. Thanks again to everyone who made our stay very welcoming.

I stay away with business everyweek and so have for many years this hasvto be the alround worst hotel i have ever stayed i it wasnt chesp for what i had the lady on reception was so rude on three occasions.The bed was very unconfortable,the room was dirty the room was noisy.i wasnt told the gym was extra andvthe breakfast wasnt included.

The hotel was very very nice with helpful staff and very clean accomodation. Every aspect of our visit was catered for and the wedding and reception was excellent with nothing forgotten and presented in style. The only and only aspect which was not quite right for me was that the hotel was a little cold bearing in mind the wether outside.

X1 night stay. Rating was high 7's - however it should be mid 8's. Good value for money, clean, quiet and a comfy bed. The gym is as good as youll get when working away from home. The staff were all v.pleasant and accomodating.

I’ve stayed here many times. Rooms are clean, tidy and well looked after. The TV is very small though, so if you want to watch something, it could be a bit of a challenge. The hotel is in a safe countryside area. I like that there’s nothing else around, but others might prefer more nearby. Hot fresh breakfast is good, but the coffee isn’t great. I’d like to see more fruit and yoghurt options as I don’t eat a full breakfast. I’ll happily stay again.

2 night stay whilst visiting friends that live near by. Comfortable, clean room. I thought tv was a little too small and struggled to see the programmes at times. Also, as I was in the building separate from the main hotel I felt a little uneasy coming back at night (as I was travelling alone), and room was at the far end at the back of the building. Staff were friendly, nice breakfast and bar and restaurant were good. Definitely stay again

The staff was great and extremely friendly, in the hotel there is no place to buy anything,no water snacks or items that you may have forgotten. They are in the middle of nowhere so you cant walk to buy anything. There is no open bar in the hotel so you have to walk or drive to the bar and restaurant to eat or drink. The rooms have very bad lighting no place to read.

Nice hotel and facilities,, really good leisure facilities but the food was mediocre for dining. warm not hot, dried mushrooms for the steak and cold chips and onion rings. When I mentioned the staff just apologized and took my plate.

Had a fabulous weekend here with family We ate in the restaurant the food was amazing as was the service. Everywhere was spotless and the beds are so comfortable. The only downside was there was no main light in the room just lamps which made getting ready in the evening a bit of a pain

The rooms are alright. The bathroom was alright. The shower was very small. IF you book through hotels.com then you have to pay £20 per day to use the facilities i.e. Gym. Not good. The food in the bar was Okay. The staff at the hotel were very good and friendly.

Enjoyed it here and would stay again,service and food were good,only criticism is if you don’t book directly with the hotel you have to pay for use of the gym and the spa which isn’t cheap,plus breakfast wasn’t included.

Check-in 2pm … the exact time the swimming pool became unavailable for anyone staying at the hotel. Riddle me that. I mean in a way we dodged a bullet, because for anyone booking indirect (i.e. here on hotels.com) if it’s the weekend it’s £20 per adult and £10 per child. Thats adds up. Perhaps I didn’t read the hotel details well enough before booking. Limited energy to go back and check. However the comment I received from the very pleasant ladies on the spa reception when I queried the above was quite insightful .. ‘yes lots of people complain about the swimming’ talks more to misdirection and misinformation on advertised services than anything else.

The annex building has no seating area outside , the pool i found excessive 30 pound and the family swim ended at 3 after checking in at 2 so left little time , the play areas shown were not available to use in the morning - children get up early but the park had no access until 1130 and check out is 11 ! No phone in the room for emergencies and being away from hotel on a ground level with the window next to road not ideal very noisy fan from somewhere all night which made sleep difficult.

Despite having a gym spa facility, if you don’t book direct they ask you to pay for them and request in future to go direct to get them included. Generally disappointed as I picked this hotel so I could access those facilities without paying £20 a day. Despite this the room was clean, tidy and what you would expect. Was disappointed as I booked with Expedia, expecting to be able to use the facilities at the hotel. On checking in, I enquired about the facilities and was informed that if I had booked directly with the hotel, I would have been able to use the pool and gym and get breakfast included. To use the gym and pool, I would have to pay extra.
