Great place to stay for the Mount as it was just a short drive away. Everyone was really friendly and the breakfast was first class. Also, no noise from the pub below though it was a Monday I stayed. It's great that there is private parking right outside but it is a bit tight. Overall, very happy!

It is located outside of Penzance and had free parking which is a must for me. Good B&B, small room but all I needed, was clean, 2 supermarkets 5 mins drive away, Mexican restaurant across road and St Micheal’s Mont 10 min drive. Would stay again.

We stayed here for a couple of nights. The location is great especially if you like walking as you can walk to Penzance or Marazion aling the flat walkway overlooking the sea. The hotel has a public bar frequented by locals and is very friendly. Our room was very clean and had tea, coffee, biscuits and a bottle of water each provided. Please note however we weren't provided with shampoo or shower gel but liquid hand soap was provided. The breakfast was made to order and was excellent. The owner, Doreen, is very friendly and helpful. The establishment is dated but very clean. We definitely would recommend staying here especially for a few nights.

Lovely and helpful staff, free parking (first come first serve). Full English breakfast was included in our stay and was made to order. Alternative breakfast like cereals, juices etc also an option, We stayed here as family of four, out most of the day sightseeing. Good access to most the landmarks. The only not so good is it’s on the main road so can be noisy in the night but settles down. Also it’s a feee house downstairs ( although separate access to the rooms) weekend noise till late. Overall great experience and good value. Thanks for making our stay.

Good bar with wide range of drinks Excellent breakfast. Full English was highest quality and weĺl cooked. Plenty of choice. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room slightly tight but comfortable bed. Sink on small side. Not advised when booking that Dinner not being served as catering staff on holiday. Shame as menu looked interesting.

Parking available, but a squeeze. Teception is the yraditional, old, small bar. Overall, property dated, clean and, just about functuonal. They have done just about enough to maintain an acceptable modern standard. Our room was very small, with little to no prep. area for ladies. We were only spending an ad-hic evening so we didn't mind. However, on attending for breakfast the next morning, wow, with a capital WOW. The available assortment was unbelievable, far exceeding any expectaions, and the cooked breakfast was, quite simply, the best we have had in our memory. Absolutely superb. The breakfast, and the lady serving it, made wrll up for any, perceived, shortfalls. Hence the 4 stars instead of 3. Unfortunately, we forgot to ask the name of the, sole, lady that took our order, prepped, cooked and served our delicious, ample breakfast. Very well done to her, SHE DEFINITELY DESERVES A PAY RISE. She made our day before it even started.

This is a run down B&B/hotel that was not appealing to us. Moldy ceilings and tiles in a shared bathroom, our room stank, the hotel below stank, we left after 15 minutes and went to a Premier Inn hotel. Lost our money! Would not recommend this place to my dog!!!

Very clean and comfortable room. Excellent cooked to order full English breakfast with a variety of coffee, tea, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereal bars to name a few. Very friendly staff. Bus stop for either direction only a few meters away.

The property is extremely outdated and in desperate need of refurbishment. Everything from the linens, carpets, and furniture to the building itself and its surroundings is old and worn. The cleanliness is lacking, and there's an unpleasant odor throughout. There was mold in the bathroom, which was so small that it was difficult to move around in. The towels had a musty smell, and the linens were very old. The noise from the road was disruptive, as the windows are not double-glazed, allowing even conversations from outside to be heard clearly. On the positive side, the breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel is also conveniently close to St. Michael's mount. However, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

Grotty hotel, chest of drawers literally falling apart. Poorly cleaned overall including unclean bed linen. Breakfast was the best part, would give the breakfast 6/10.

Shared bathroom which wasn't mentioned on the advert & female travelling alone, felt vulnerable. Terrible nights sleep for 2 nights, noise from road, bus stop and railway line (2 windows facing road). Breakfast was good though, lovely spread of fresh fruits and good selection & cooked breakfast was nice.

Not really a hotel, its a pub with rooms. Landlord wasnt very welcoming. Room 5 was ok overall (clean and comfortable) but noisy overnight due to other guests using shared bathroom next door. Quiet location though and handy for bus into town. Shower needed repair as it leaked everywhere. With a bit of TLC and better attitude it would be a whole lot better.

A really nice small hotel, very warm and welcoming, the staff very friendly. The breakfast was great, cooked to order as well as cereals, fruits, yoghurts and more as a buffet. There is a kettle in the room and well stocked tea and coffee making items. The room was clean and well maintained if a little dated. The room is quite small ( 5, double room) and had a view of the back of the building which was a little disappointing but not a big problem. Beach access is just down the road and Penzance, Marazion and St Michael’s Mount all walkable. There is a bus stop just outside which we used to go to Penzance and St Ives ( bus 17). Located at a great place for exploring this part of Cornwall. Would recommend.

If you like good beer and 70's music, this place is for you. Our room was clean but dated and we shared a bathroom (hadn't realised that when I booked, probably my fault) The doors all squeaked loudly and we were on a main road into PZ so not a peaceful night. However, the staff were nice and we weren't there very long so all good.

The Hotel/ Pub is in easy walk (28 mins) for Marazion and St Micheal's Mount and, the hotel only has a few rooms and a shared bathroom/ toilet my room was comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities, there is a sink.

Booked this as a last minute stay too avoid a very early morning drive to a cycling event. On arrival was met by a very helpful manager who explained the parking procedure. After putting luggage in our room we went down to the bar. Again excellent service from the manager and a very friendly atmosphere. Had a great nights sleep in our room which had all the facilities we needed. Left too early to sample breakfast butt all in all we had a great experience

Book in was quick and informative, was kindly offered a coffee on arrival but was heading out again, the room was clean and facilities excellent, bed very comfy, great nights sleep.

A really nice small hotel, very warm and welcoming, the staff very friendly. The breakfast was great, cooked to order as well as cereals, fruits, yoghurts and more as a buffet. There is a kettle in the room and well stocked tea and coffee making items. The room was clean and well maintained if a little dated. The room is quite small ( 5, double room) and had a view of the back of the building which was a little disappointing but not a big problem. Beach access is just down the road and Penzance, Marazion and St Michael’s Mount all walkable. There is a bus stop just outside which we used to go to Penzance and St Ives ( bus 17). Located at a great place for exploring this part of Cornwall. Would recommend.

We stayed here for a couple of nights. The location is great especially if you like walking as you can walk to Penzance or Marazion aling the flat walkway overlooking the sea. The hotel has a public bar frequented by locals and is very friendly. Our room was very clean and had tea, coffee, biscuits and a bottle of water each provided. Please note however we weren't provided with shampoo or shower gel but liquid hand soap was provided. The breakfast was made to order and was excellent. The owner, Doreen, is very friendly and helpful. The establishment is dated but very clean. We definitely would recommend staying here especially for a few nights.

Within easy walk of Marazion/Penzance beach. Bus stop adjacent with plenty of bus options, Penzance, St Ives, Coastal etc, friendly staff and fantastic breakfast options including full English, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, cheese. Room spacious. I would definitely stay again.

Brilliant location. Short walk to St Michael's Mount and short 2 mile bus ride into Penzance. Room was very clean and the breakfasts are incredible. Staff couldn't do enough and were super friendly. Had a great laugh with the locals. The best bit is the price..... Way cheaper than everywhere else so incredible value for money. Mexico Inn is across the road a nd does great food. Also the CuttySark in Marazion.

Just a little out of Penzance & Marazion. Very comfortable after a long day's travel & close proximity to the towns, across from Mexico Inn diner. A delicious hearty cooked breakfast w/great service. Very economically priced. Thanks for the hospitality.

Comfortable, clean room. The lady doing housekeeping was friendly. Conveniently located across from the bus stop into Penzance. I had a very nice stay and would stay again.

Positives It's right off the main road, so easy to find Parking Continental and (hot) Cornish breakfast Convenient access to St Michael's Mt Negatives It's right off the main road so the noise from passing cars and people will keep you up Heating was off (mid September but it was quite cold, wet and windy) Could do with general renovation Not really close to anything else besides St Michael's Mt, the beach and the old town

Very clean and comfortable room. Excellent cooked to order full English breakfast with a variety of coffee, tea, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereal bars to name a few. Very friendly staff. Bus stop for either direction only a few meters away.

Good bar with wide range of drinks Excellent breakfast. Full English was highest quality and weĺl cooked. Plenty of choice. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room slightly tight but comfortable bed. Sink on small side. Not advised when booking that Dinner not being served as catering staff on holiday. Shame as menu looked interesting.

The breakfast at the Mount View Hotel was excellent but the shower facility in Room 5 was not working properly as it supplied either very cold or very hot with no sensible level to shower as it only provided a low level of water!

I have travelled to many places around the world and stayed in some pretty poor accommodation but this place is definitely in the top five of worst experiences. I ordered a family room for one night with my daughter. It cost £56 for the night. Now I wasn’t expecting the Hilton but this place was beyond disgusting. To start with it stank and they had tried to cover up the smell with air fresheners everywhere. The room smelled and the carpets were filthy. The towels were vile and the beds were like sleeping in a marshmallow with no support at all. There was a shared bathroom which was filthy… hairs everywhere, dirty bath mat and floor mat so that was unusable. The room faced the Main Street. I was not aware until we arrived that there was a pub as part of the building and people were loud and smoking under our window which was filthy. The stairs and landing were filthy and the pictures hung up were faded with the wall paper hanging off the walls. I wish I’d paid a little more for a travel lodge, but I was trying to support local businesses. I’ve learnt my lesson.

We had a wonderful stay at Mount View Hotel and would highly recommend it. The free parking for guests was a huge bonus and something we really appreciated. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing, with a great selection and everything was delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and efficient, always happy to help with a smile. The hotel's location is also excellent, making it easy to explore Penzance and the surrounding attractions. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay with our family. The value for money is outstanding and hard to beat. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely be back!
