Beautiful setting. Room was very hot with no a/c but they did have a refreshing pool to jump into and ceiling fans. It is the most i have ever paid for a room but convenient setting for the Redwoods.

We were on a road trip and spent one night at this property, and it had all of the needed amenities, such as a microwave and refrigerator. It was extremely clean, the parking was easy and close to the cottage, and the staff was very nice and responsive. There is only one thing that I would suggest, and that is for management to put a caution sign on the rear gate, near the play structure, that leads to the forest. The sign should clearly state, “Enter at your own risk.” The gate, gives the impression that it is safe to enter, and that a defined trail awaits. Several guests, including myself, accessed the gate thinking that there would be a marked trail, but then we learned that there was not a defined trail and the area was filled with fallen trees and poison oak. This is a major safety issue because children can easily access this trail, especially with it being adjacent to a play area. Other than that, I would gladly stay here again and I highly recommend it to other travelers.

Older court style separated rooms but very well maintained. Gas, grocery and dining just across the street. The landscaping was very pretty and we used the gazebo just outside the room to relax with a glass of wine after a busy travel day.

This property has a charming sign outside and the cottages look adorable under the giant redwoods. I’m sure they were really nice accommodations 100 years ago, but quite frankly that room was one of the worst I’ve stayed in for a long time, and at the same rate as really really nice rooms at nearby properties in Scotia and Benbow that I also stayed in this week. Low quality bed linens & towels. The carpet seems filthy. I couldn’t bring myself to use the coffee maker. The door has glass window panes, which just made it feel really unsafe as it is directly accessible by the very busy highway, and I saw every truck and cars headlights passing all night long. That being said the lady who checked me in was super nice and it’s a great location… (A.k.a. the only option in Miranda, which is a cute little town on the Avenue.) But they either need to invest a lot more in their property to bring it up to that level of lodging cost or lower their rates.

This was the worst accommodation on our trip up the west coast. The staff was friendly but the "apartment " they put us in was the most outdated, uncomfortable, and inconvenient place. We couldn't safely carry our luggage up the steep stairs which are outlined with paper caution tape everywhere. We stacked our luggage on the antique Victorian sitting room furniture that graced the living room. The tv didn't work and there was no dvd player, movies, or radio so the evening is spent in silence unless you have your own streaming services, etc. When you sit on the deck, there is a moderate smell of propane due to a valve right there and a large supply tank to your right. The toilet rocked when you sat on it. The atmosphere of this "apartment " was so creepy, it is the stuff of nightmares.

You can't beat the environment. It's in the middle of the redwoods. Each cabin-like room has big trees close by. The room is cute, like an antique; if this is your type of thing you probably would like it. However, it's quite old. The bathroom tube makes screeching noise (thankfully just for a minute or two) when first using faucet; the heater has a loud noise (dropping of water?) in the middle of night which woke us up. So we decided to turn the heater off -- it wasn't very cold that night, but it might be a problem in lower temperature.

Miranda Gardens Resort was just so lovely! Staff was friendly, helpful and professional! The cabins nestled among the huge redwoods was so calming and enjoyable! We loved staying there…want to go back!!!

Miranda Gardens was so quaint, surrounded by redwoods, and very convenient for exploring Avenue of the Giants. Two restaurants and a coffee shop directly across the street make it a very convenient place to stay. Loved it!

Older court style separated rooms but very well maintained. Gas, grocery and dining just across the street. The landscaping was very pretty and we used the gazebo just outside the room to relax with a glass of wine after a busy travel day.

Our family love this place. The cottages are beautiful and very comfortable. They are located in a small town and a quiet area. It is close to Humboldt redwoods state park. Highly recommended.

Miranda Gardens was so quaint, surrounded by redwoods, and very convenient for exploring Avenue of the Giants. Two restaurants and a coffee shop directly across the street make it a very convenient place to stay. Loved it!

Great place to stay for 1 night to allow us to explore the groves of Humboldt State Park. Clean and quiet, with 2 beds for 2 old friends. The only minor quibble: the place is described online as offering a free breakfast, but when we got there we found out that this had not been the case for years. Food was easily found, however, from a nice small cafe across the street.

Absolutely beautiful magical place. You are surrounded by redwoods and the rooms are quaint and unique. The grounds are awesome and the town is great with a wonderful restaurant and coffee house. Best place to stay on the Avenue of Giants.

Our stay at Miranda Gardens Resort was one of the highlights of our North Coast road trip. The property is peaceful, comfortable, and perfectly located just off the Avenue of the Giants, making it an ideal base for exploring Humboldt Redwoods State Park. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, including the convenience of a private bathroom. Waking up surrounded by towering trees and enjoying coffee in such a tranquil setting made this a memorable experience. Beautiful setting among the redwoods and the resort is adorable- great design and very clean rooms. They are working on renovations which will make the place super fun and great to visit. The lack of five stars is due to our specific visit- just a note on the door at the lobby until 6:30pm, bright light from the street shining in our front door as we sleep, and construction noise too early. They also really need to replace the mattresses- so hard and warped from top much use.
