They would have gotten a 5 star but there was what seemed like a hidden fee for parking at $25 a Night. Hotels.com made it vague stating it was $25 for valet on one line then stated there was additional parking onsite leading folks to believe that paying for the valet was the option and that there was additional free parking for those who did not choose to utilize that service. FYI valet is mandatory and you will be charged $25 a night regardless. Otherwise its a wonderful place to stay!

The location was steps from a public beach and immaculate. We had wonderful service in room and at the roof top bar and pool. The live music was spot on and the free sunset shots a bonus. There is no negative with trolly stops in either direction on the main drag. We missed the launch of the restaurant attached to the location, but so jealous of those of you who got to enjoy it.

We had a wonderful stay in a very nice room. The only negative was the elevators, which were very slow. It took forever, and everyone we spoke to had the same complaint, even the staff!

The hotel is stunning with lots of amenities. Beds were cozy and the room was nice. The pool was warm and felt amazing! Hot tub was down. Mold on the shower curtain and we had to ask for our room to be tended to. Otherwise the best part were the valet guys! Food was good but breakfast stops at 10:30 am

Family friendly and clean. No balcony in room. Hot tub listed on travel sites and hotel website is inoperable and has a sign on it that says it is a cold soaking tub with no jets.

Our room was clean and spacious. The bed was super comfy! The rooftop bar was awesome at sunset. We had breakfast in the lobby, it was mediocre…some of our food was cold when served. The staff was very friendly

We did not get two beds in our room as requested. The room was dirty. There was a random pill under the desk, a spill mark/stain on the pull out bed, no linens for it either. The property was very disappointing this year.

Trash can had old trash in them. Shower was not very clean. Room was hot, but the bar tender and staff were very nice. Food was awesome. Just not a great room.

It’s a nice hotel but our room floor was very dirty. It was tiled flooring and is easily cleaned but it seemed like they might not mop the floors often. We cleaned our room floor with a swiffer wetjet bought from Winn Dixie behind the hotel.

The staff were amazing and sadly that’s all that’s great about this hotel for the price we paid. Check-in was fast and easy, and we were offered a glass of Prosecco. No complaints there. On way to the room the carpets were dirty food and other items all over the hotel, garbage cans were always full around the elevators, obviously they must be short on cleaning staff or just badly managed. The restaurant chairs had food on which I found strange as if you were going to clean and reset the table. You would also wipe down the chairs? i cannot fault the restaurant waiter staff and the quality of the food was good for the price. pool area was clean the bar staff were extremely friendly.The room itself was a suit, the couch looked well used and marked, and not inviting at all. There was a standup fan in the lounge area, which we found odd but obviously they may have had air-conditioning problems in the past. The kitchen area was clean.The bedroom was clean. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were comfortable. The bed linen was nice. There was only one remote for the TVs, which only worked on the TV in the lounge area so we could not get the bedroom TV working. And we were not really in the room much so it really did not affect us. The walls are paper thin we could hear everything from the room next to us.The windows are very thin very hard to sleep with noise outside. The lighting in the bathroom was terrible to put make up on. I have more to write but not enough room here

Our room was not clean. The floor looked unswept and I hate to say it but I don't think they changed the sheets. There was orange something on the sheets but we didn't realize until morning and had already slept in the bed. So that was very disappointing. The front desk lady was 5 star and so were the vallet guys overall 4 out 5 expy

Our stay at this property was great. The rooftop has great rocking chairs to watch the sunset. A small touch that goes a long way. The rooftop also had karaoke and great drinks and food at the bar. Our room was very spacious, with a balcony and great view of the marina. I would come back just to stay here and spend a weekend at the beach right across the street from this property. The slight draw back was the $25 for valet parking when there are tons of outside parking on the street but it did not ruin our weekend. The valet staff were great and always had our car ready. The connecting Tiki restaurant on the first floor is great for food and drinks as well. Nothing bad to say about this property. The area around it seemed to still be recovering from the hurricanes but there were other places you could easily walk to.

In for a family reunion last weekend, the Cambria location was ideal for us and the hotel is beautiful, only 3-4 years old so very upscale chic with nice appointments in the rooms and public areas. Unfortunately they cheaped out on the most important aspect IMHO: noise suppression, cancellation, reduction. From the conversations I could follow between guests in the room next door and the footsteps of children running and playing upstairs I'd guess there was little if any insulation meeting standard hotel guidelines. I have never been able to actually understand the words and basically eavesdrop on neighboring guests from my hotel room. Located where several intersections meet at various corners, the traffic noise is not insignificant, either. The hotel is within walking distance of shopping (Winn Dixie & CVS), restaurants (Saltwater Hippie, Frabotta's Pizza and others) and its about 4 blocks to the beach. On a weekend night, Don The Beachcomber, the restaurant on the street level of Cambria gets pretty busy which, at least when we were there totally put their kitchen in the weeds and turning out food that would't even be considered marginal. It's an oasis compared to the crowds that flood the streets 1/2 a block up at Saltwater Hippie creating noise and traffic hazards. Bring good earplugs (airplane versions were't effective) or noise cancelling earbuds, or earphones if you value sleeping or just want to avoid the frustration of trying to sleep amid chaos.

The rooms are wonderful, large, modern, and clean. The rooftop pool is great. But the area surrounding the hotel...empty, run-down shops, very unattractive. And the layout of the hotel is odd. There's no entrance at the front of the building; there's a small, dark entrance on the side of the parking garage with no clear signage. Then you have to go up to the third floor to the lobby. Who plans something like that?? And then the parking...no self-parking, only valet parking. And $25 is way too expensive in my opinion. Besides, the staff has to stay there all night in case a guest comes. The elevators are reeealy slooow, so you always have to wait and wait and wait...... Unfortunately, the air conditioning thermostat in our room couldn't be adjusted; it was constantly at 72 degrees. Kim at the frontdesk was wonderful, we really appreciated her help.

We stayed for a week and it was great! We got there on a Saturday & it was full. On Monday we asked for a Harbor view as you can watch the dolphins in the morning from the little patio & they switched us no problems! The beds comfortable, the rooms nice & cold. The rooftop sunset is amazing! The beach is literally less than a block away as well as a CVS & Winn Dixie store. An Uber over to John’s pass is less than $10 (parking at John’s is $20 so take an Uber) we love it! Great place to stay & great staff too!

This would have been a 5 star rating but one major drawback that would keep us from returning especially during the hot months is the air. It does not go below 72. I had to get a fan from the front desk and it was still hot in our room. We didnt get good sleep beacuse of this. If you took a shower it easily reached 75. I complained to the front desk 3 times finally i gave up even after they said someone will check our air. Couldnt tell much difference. Also the bathroom is a sliding door which doesnt give much privacy and the latch is a hit or miss my husband almost got locked in one day thought I was going to have to call front desk. Major pro to this hotel is the staff is quick on top of stuff. The food and the rooftop bar is chefs kiss. Its amazing views, awesome pool, and resturant with bar. Having food right on sight was a major plus and it was good also. You didnt have to go anywhere if you didnt want to. Its only maybe a little over a block to the beach with stores within walking distance also. Our room was clean it did need a few repairs but this area got hit hard by the hurricane so I overlooked it because over recovery. The valet gives you peice of mind even though it was 25 a day. They where always quick and efficient when we needed our car. Probably the best valet service I've had others have been a cluster

I had to get a fan from the front desk and it was still hot in our room. We didnt get good sleep beacuse of this. If you took a shower it easily reached 75. I complained to the front desk 3 times finally i gave up even after they said someone will check our air. Couldnt tell much difference. There were hairs in the sink and a half drank water bottle in the fridge when we checked into our room. The room was noisy since it was on the lobby and across from the housekeeping closet. Lots of early morning slamming and banging (I’m talking 6-8am). When I checked out, the receptionist didn’t ask about my stay. So I told her about my experience she blamed the site I booked on for the room and just said, “oh sorry” and left it at that. Not the experience we had at all last time. Our server, however, we had multiple times at the lobby restaurant and she was fantastic. She has shorter brown hair and was amazing. The manager who stepped in to help run food was great too. Hoping this was a fluke because we loved the hotel the last time and hope to come back soon.

Staff is amazing but the 2 bed rooms are super cramped. Had to hunt someone down for more toilet paper. They charge for valet but don’t give you any other option. Location is fantastic!

The breakfast staff was amazing! Best part of our stay! Always smiling. Front desk staff needs some help. Not as friendly except for the young lady who checked us in on our first day in evening. Absolute sweetheart. Only seen her once. One manager with red hair was vocal about my Trump items from the Trump store across the street. Being vocal about her hate for him. And her love for her candidate, very upsetting! Never should she talk politics with guests. the valet was incredible work extremely hard. Under tipped hope guests do better. The jacuzzi not working sucked and had a case over the button. Was looking forward to that. Roof top bar staff were the best. Food is really good. Clean and comfy rooms. Enjoyed our stay for the most part.

I’ve stayed in many nice hotels over the years. The entire staff from the general manager, Steven, assistant general manager, Kim, the bartender, Cliff down to the valet are the kindest friendliest accommodating professional staff I’ve ever seen. I would highly highly recommend this hotel. They have entertainment in the pool bar on the roof every night, and a good restaurant in the hotel. You will not be disappointed.

Nice hotel and accommodations, I was surprised to learn that it is mandatory valet and it is $25 extra a day....it did come in handy and am so glad we had to do it, just would have liked know ahead of time. The bartender upstairs was not very nice if you were not drinking, told I had to come back to get my food bc I was not sitting inside the bar area....was literally 3 ft outside of the bar area at a table we were told we would get service at. That is the only reason I gave employee rating of 3, otherwise all other employees were incredibly nice and accommodating!

From the moment we pulled up to valet to where we checked out we were greeted with welcoming smiles & excitement! We were given a celebratory toast of champagne when we checked in & a free shot at sunset! The room was spotless, fridge cold, coffee stocked. Soft towels & the provided body wash, shampoo & conditioner was a great brand. The balcony looked into a courtyard that had a private event so it was awkward sitting out there so we went to the pool instead. The bed, in my opinion, was very comfortable but the pillows weren’t. The pool area was well spaced & the provided towels were clean. The hot tub was a comfortable temperature but the jets didn’t work. I do wish they would make the hot tub adults only because the kids, although well behaved, basically took it over and it was hard to relax. The bar area was great & my drink was delicious! The lobby area was very clean & the restaurant area was well spaced out. We had breakfast and that was delicious too! All in all I had a great time & if I go back to Madeira Beach I would love to stay here again!

This was our fourth year staying at the Cambria. It has become our home away from home because we visit this area every year. The manager, Stephen, is wonderful and friendly, always attentive to the needs of his guests. He also helped the locals when two hurricanes hit the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable. To us, the location is perfect. It may not be on the beach, but it's a short walk with great views of the water. We absolutely love the rooftop pool and views, as well as the third floor deck that overlooks the intercoastal water. The views are spectacular! It's an easy walk to CVS, Dollar Tree, and Winn Dixie for anything you may need. The valet parking, although an additional cost, is very convenient, and the people working valet are top notch. The weekend had entertainment on the roof with karaoke while we were there, but when we were ready for bed, it's as quiet as can be, and that's with the Saltwater Hippie bar just down the road. It's enjoyable to sit on the balcony and listen to the live music at the bar as well. I almost hate to be honest, because I don't want The Cambria to fill it up too much for our next visit! Such a great place to stay!

We had a problem with the AC every day, and they didn’t fix it. The first night was too hot, and we couldn’t sleep well. After we reported it, they only put a fan in the room. Location is key for this hotel. Short walking distance to very nice Madeira beach. Easy driving access to all directions for other attractions. Unfortunately, due to hurricane damage, much infrastructure around the hotel is gone so meal options are limited within walking distance. Hotel itself has limited menu and a nice top floor bar. Rooms are very nice but common area floors etc could use better maintenance, they clearly were not vacuumed during our stay with debris on the hall carpets. Also, $25 per day parking pretty much mandatory as no street parking is available. Despite all this, I highly recommend it basically because of its location.

The rooms are wonderful, large, modern, and clean. The rooftop pool is great. But the area surrounding the hotel...empty, run-down shops, very unattractive. And the layout of the hotel is odd. There's no entrance at the front of the building; there's a small, dark entrance on the side of the parking garage with no clear signage. Then you have to go up to the third floor to the lobby. Who plans something like that?? And then the parking...no self-parking, only valet parking. And $25 is way too expensive in my opinion. Besides, the staff has to stay there all night in case a guest comes. The elevators are reeealy slooow, so you always have to wait and wait and wait...... Hotel was nice, staff was courteous. They need more elevators, there’s only 2 and they were very slow. The liquor menu was awful and the drinks were just okay. I ordered grouper bites & expected them to be fresh but they were frozen and disgusting. I don’t get it, u can buy grouper on every corner.

We had a ladies group going on a fishing charter so we had 5 rooms….it was cold so the rooftop was closed but we dined twice for dinner and had breakfast at their restaurant and all of it was excellent! Rooms were great and beds comfortable! Not one complaint from 14 ladies! We will be staying there again!

Hidden fees. Valet parking is MANDATORY. There is off site parking but no overnight parking and you have to move yo7r car every 3 hrs, so there is no realistic option to park yourself.
