Golden Bay Hotel by Marine Parade

Spacious room but there was construction noise early in the morning. Toiletries are provided such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. There are bath towels, hand towels and face cloths. AC is strong. Check-in and checkout was smooth.

Room was clean but very noisy with the construction noise and air conditioning noise early in the morning. Toiletries are equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. There is also soft bath towels, hand towels and face cloths.

We stayed two nights. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable though a little on the extra firm side, The pillows were definitely hard, more so than any hotel I've ever stayed. Overall, comfortable stay and close to the water taxi (within easy walkable distance for us), and the airport. Drawbacks: They put us in a room with a window that was blacked out, that side of their hotel is right up against their new building. There was no mention in the listings about what are essentially windowless rooms. At check-in the desk person also did not mention there is not a functioning window. The other irk was that the front desk staff, while I was standing there trying to figure out how to get cash for a taxi to the airport (my bank card wasn't working and the taxi's do not take credit cards), never mentioned they have a shuttle that does airport runs. We had to find out from other guests who happened to be on a day tour we did. The rooftop restaurant is nice. Food is good. Drinks are good. Great views from the outdoor terrace side. Staff was friendly and attentive.

You should really inform guest when bookings, especially an expensive room that there is construction going on starting at 7am.

Clean room, good bed, lovely amenities, nice shower. Rooftop restaurant excellent. Unfortunately they are under construction so some noise and no view out the window.
