Overall our stay at the Paradise Inn met our expectations- clean and tidy, easy check in (though I do feel like sending a check in instructions email every day for several days leading up to our check in date was a bit overkill). The rooms were comfortable and well stocked, the outside space was lovely. I do feel that the hotel could benefit from overnight security, which is my only qualm with the place. You can’t expect that all of your guests will adhere to quiet hour rules - at 3am on our first night, a guest staying across the hall from us brought a few people back to the hotel, who sat outside on the patio for an hour (our room was above them), they woke us up with loud conversation and walking in and out of the hotel slamming doors. This isn’t really worth waking up the owners and doesn’t constitute an emergency, but could have been resolved by having overnight security.

Bonjour magnifique site simple,sympatique et très propre.Nous avions ch.201avec vie et coucher de soleil superbe de notre balcon.Cuisinette commune avec toutes les commodités pour manger snack ou pour famille qui voudrait cuisiner choses simples qui est également super propre et complète . Great location. No noise issues . We had a two queen bed room. Fridge micro balcony on side of building to view port Elgin harbour. Sat on main deck to view sunset. Everything was close. 25 min drive to owen sound to chase waterfalls ( jones/inglis). Southampton downtown is great and sauble falls must see.

We love this location for our annual vacation! The sunset view is lovely and the hosts are most helpful and very friendly for all our needs. This feels like a home away from home with a clean full kitchen and a deck for enjoying the evening view. The local cafes and restaurants are unique. We love supporting local friendly business.

The view was great, we should've brought our own pillows. The T.V we had a hard time with understanding the operation, we were not aware about the kitchen on the main floor, the air conditioner did not come on so we ended up with not sleeping comfortably.

Definitely not worth the nightly rate regardless of proximity to the beach. The AC stopped working almost as soon as we returned from dinner. It would keep sutting off and had some water come down the wall. We just turned it off and 'roasted' all night with little sleep. Left msg with owner to advise and never even got a call back. Walls pater thin and you can hear everyone in property. Do not recommend! Actually pricey!

We had a good stay at this motel and it was a convenient base for us to explore Port Elgin, Southampton and Sauble/Saugeen Beach, albeit it's a little on the pricey side for no-frills, simple accomodations. The location is the biggest asset, right across the street from the water and main beach, with a wonderful view at sunset. The building is locked so only guests with the passcode can enter. There's a small no. of units, it was quiet and peaceful. Parking is conveniently located right behind the property or there's public parking across the street. Our room was clean, simple and a little dated. The beds were comfortable enough, although one of the mattresses had a soft edge, so we just slept in separate beds the second night to avoid my fiance feeling like he was going to roll off the edge. Water pressure was good, ample towels provided and strong AC. The first morning we were there, still in bed, the cleaning staff just opened our door without any warning. Fortunately we had the door guard on which stopped the door from fully opening. The other thing to note is check out is early at 10 am, given the check in is 3 pm.
