While I can't fault Mimosa Cottage's location or grounds, the place never felt comfortable. Mildew and the smell of disinfectant, together with the early 90s decor, tiny TVs, and dead plants, made this cottage a real disappointment. Many things looked dusty or dirty, and it's clear no one has properly updated the place in 30 years. I appreciate that the property is accessible for the disabled but that is no reason to scrimp on basic updates and cleanliness. We were not comfortable in this property and spent minimal time in it as a result. It felt grossly overpriced for what it was and a real disappointment for our long-anticipated weekend away, and I left feeling ripped off.
