The property was nice and located in a very peaceful location, trains are accessible to Inverness, and you can get accommodation cheaper than in Inverness city center. The hotel is very close to Nairn Beach. However this place lack a restaurant, but you can prebook the meals within the hotel,if you want.

Very friendly and helpful receptionist when we arrived at desk. Hotel in nice area of town. 15 mins walk to city centre. Lovely walk, close by, along promenade to harbour area. Room 12 twin, small but adequate. Room luckily had an upright fan, which was very much appreciated, due to unusual hot spell in North Scotland. There was 4 small top windows you could open, which we did. Unfortunately right outside our windows, were 2 flat roofs with nesting seagulls. They were very noisy up until 10.30-11pm and again from 5am. Breakfast lady, was very good and looked after us so well. At an extra cost you could have a Continental Breakfast at £10, consisting of cereals, fresh fruit, natural or pot yoghurts, pastries, fresh juice, tea, coffee and toast or Cooked Breakfast £15; choosing 7 cooked items from menu, toast, fruit juice, tea or coffee. Billiard room at back, near restaurant. Parking at back for 5-6 cars or plenty room at side of road. Nice Hotel, but shame about seagulls.

Very nice place. Perfect location, 5 minutes walk to water, 3 minutes drive to restaurants. The rooms were large and bathrooms as well. Nice little bar. Breakfast and dinner available. 1 minute walk to Golf View Hotel with amazing views and bar/restaurant.

The hotel itself is a nice property and our room was spacious and well equipped - apart from the bathroom door that sticks really badly & needs fixing. The carpark is very tight - I’m glad it was not me driving and parking. Dennis on reception was very welcoming and helpful - and breakfast was fine. Unfortunately we had some issues with the servicing of our room - a glass missing - and then when replaced, cups & glasses not washed properly each day, stained pillow slip - which I asked to be changed - towels not replaced, sopping wet towel left in the bath, bed left unmade - it was nothing major but annoying. Surely, it can’t be that difficult to have a check list of what is supposed to be done?

I really like this hotel, especially as it has a lift. However, his time i was in room 7 which, oddly, had 3 sets of drawers but nowhere to hang clothes. There was no wardrobe, hanging rail or even a supply of hangers (fortunately I'd brought a couple with me)and only 1 hook, on the back of the door. I resorted to using the towel rail to hang my work clothes on! This niggle aside, it was a well priced, clean, comfortable and quiet room and I will return (with more hangers, lol).

Nice accommodation, just needs some TLC in the rooms, unfortunately (probably due to staff shortages) they no longer open the bar later than 2100hrs. We have stayed here a few years back. Nice area.

The hotel, while in a nice area, did not have a parking lot that was easy to drive in and out of due smaller size. You can hear your neighbors the entire night, so expect to be woken by other’s alarms, children crying at night, and taking shows. Rooms was standard, however it left much to be desired. I was only given a shampoo that was watered down and it doubled as a body soap. Didn’t even bother sleeping under my sheets, bed was so springy and used I wanted the extra cushion where I could find it. Shower pressure was not great, but the water does get very (very) hot, so be warned if you have small children! Good for one night if you need to stay somewhere, but wouldn’t recommend booking for long trips.

This property was uninviting from the start, the outside is full of weeds. Front of house managed by one member of staff who dealt with registration, dining and everything else. The menu was limited and basically freezer to fryer. The rooom was ok but mouldy shower very off putting as were the previous occupants clothes still in one of the drawers Overpriced for the quality

Very nice and extra clean. Very quiet neighborhood and a short walk to the beach. I checked in after hours so I didn’t meet any staff, but they quickly answered the phone and helped me every time. Highly recommended.

The West End is quiet, clean, comfortable and was perfect for my short stay in Nairn. It's close to the West Beach and within easy walking distance of the town centre and the station. The staff, Andrew & Louise, were lovely - nothing was too much trouble and they were kind and friendly throughout my stay. I can wholeheartedly recommend.

As the hotel has failed to respond to my email within their stated 48 hrs I will post an honest review. I appreciate this is a low cost room. The room is very tired. Upon arrival I could see that while hoovering may have been done, it hasn't picked up all that was on the floor. Various wear and tear all over, damage where the head board is, no toilet roll holder, the bathroom door damaged where someone clearly pushed it hard over the door stop, mould at base of shower, chair worn and ripped/damaged, lighting old and parts missing. The toilet is raised as though it's for accessible room, so was difficult to use. The bathroom also smelled very strongly of cleaning materials. The curtains let in way too much light, maybe use a blind? The bed felt past it's best days and the pillows really lumpy. A lose doorstop with a screw hook on the floor (glad I didn't stand on that!). Added to the fact I didn't see one member of staff until late evening at reception as I walked past. I get it, it's costly to do up rooms, and wood chip wall paper is awful to remove, but I just felt really unwelcome. IE it felt like you can't be bothered. All these small things, if rectified would make a huge difference. This could be a great hotel given it's location, but I kind of felt, as a guest, that I was an inconvenience.

The carpets were in need of a good deep clean. The overpowering musty smell when you step into the rooms. The furniture was old and outdated. The wallpayer was coming off the walls. The shower was moldy. Only positves, big room and close to beach and shops and eating and driving venues. Not worth the money

I have stayed here on several occasions and, as always, it has lovely staff and was clean and comfortable. However two issues made it a less happy experience than i would have liked. Firstly there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Not what you're thinking but oddly, it smelt like cat pee! The other issue was that my TV and remote were not talking to each other so I had no TV access. A member of staff did try to sort it but eventually gave up with the comment "it does this sometimes". I spent an unhappy two hours Googling and eventually sorted it myself. However, given that i specifically mentioned that I wanted to watch F1 qualifying, that I hadn't unpacked at the time when the staff member was in my room, that this was a known issue and that the hotel appeared to not be at full occupancy, why on earth was I not offered an alternative room?

Had a decent stay, room was fine, clean and comfortable, staff were friendly. Only issue was noise from other rooms, someone was on their phone in another room for hours and it sounded like they were sitting beside me.

This was a short stay on a longer trip. We thought the beds were comfortable, check in was quick and the woman working the desk was pleasant. The only thing was the wifi did not work very well in our room which was a bummer as we are traveling from out of the country and were heavily relying on a strong wifi.

Some rooms are much nicer than others, we stayed previously and had lovely rooms. This time, rooms 3 and 5 were poor. Broken lights, a shower that worked sporadically, and bathrooms in desperate need of a refresh. Its a great value hotel, and the staff are lovely, but theres no excuse for broken lamps, and a shower that only functions properly when a nearby other shower is not in use ( the only explanation i can think for the issue).Breakafast poor, at £15 a head we got food that seemed to have been cooked hours before. Lovely helpful friendly staff.

Good value for a passing 1 night stay. Room had a few flaws. Light above shower constantly flickered. Water in taps got very hot, very quickly and room was overally very hot even with window open. Good value and choice at bar and restaurant

I came in late at night after hours and at the top of the stairs there was a cleaning closet left open with the light on and cleaning supplies laying out all over the floor. Everyone was clearly already gone and asleep and it was just left like this. Very odd. When I woke up in the morning, these cleaning supplies were still strewn out all over. Because of my late arrival nobody explained the hours of breakfast were only until 9am and since I had arrived so late I slept in to recover. I was really bummed to come down a little after 9 and discover that there was no longer breakfast. I could see there being a strict policy for a time cutoff if you were a large hotel but this was a tiny bed and breakfast. I explained that there was a lack of communication and they didn’t really care. There was no attempt to make it right. Pretty disappointing.

This hotel send message to the client to arrange the late check in but if you dont see it, you have problem because when you arrive they dont take the phone, nobody in the office and you need to search another hotel to spend the night. Never contact me when I tell that I arrive one hour 30 minutes after the check out. If we have a emergency on the road, how can we contact the hotel. If you dont get it message on your phone then you have a big problem. Thats not acceptable.

This is a cute hotel that was clearly understaffed. The room was moderately clean but had not been dusted. They had a mini fridge on a nightstand in a window that made it a bit challenging to close the curtains. One person to manage reception, the bar, and act as food server - poor thing was doing her best but stretched. Dinner was good albeit slow for there only being 3 tables occupied.

The West End is quiet, clean, comfortable and was perfect for my short stay in Nairn. It's close to the West Beach and within easy walking distance of the town centre and the station. The staff, Andrew & Louise, were lovely - nothing was too much trouble and they were kind and friendly throughout my stay. I can wholeheartedly recommend.

Nice hotel wasn’t there for long but the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. The room was ideal for my needs clean, nice hot shower good internet…bed was too spongy for me but that is an individual thing! All in all a great stay!

As the hotel has failed to respond to my email within their stated 48 hrs I will post an honest review. I appreciate this is a low cost room. The room is very tired. Upon arrival I could see that while hoovering may have been done, it hasn't picked up all that was on the floor. Various wear and tear all over, damage where the head board is, no toilet roll holder, the bathroom door damaged where someone clearly pushed it hard over the door stop, mould at base of shower, chair worn and ripped/damaged, lighting old and parts missing. The toilet is raised as though it's for accessible room, so was difficult to use. The bathroom also smelled very strongly of cleaning materials. The curtains let in way too much light, maybe use a blind? The bed felt past it's best days and the pillows really lumpy. A lose doorstop with a screw hook on the floor (glad I didn't stand on that!). Added to the fact I didn't see one member of staff until late evening at reception as I walked past. I get it, it's costly to do up rooms, and wood chip wall paper is awful to remove, but I just felt really unwelcome. IE it felt like you can't be bothered. All these small things, if rectified would make a huge difference. This could be a great hotel given it's location, but I kind of felt, as a guest, that I was an inconvenience.

This hotel was completely closed up on arrival and the telephone unobtainable. Despite this and informing Hotels.com at the time I have been charged for this booking. I was promised a call back but I haven’t heard anything since the day of the booking. All in all this is the worst experience I have ever had booking a hotel.

Came to check in just after 3pm no staff in the hotel had to phone a number which was left was told someone would arrive by 4pm and was told to take a key from behind a desk , booked breakfast for the following morning restaurants was locked up no one could be found , put in the wrong room

Very friendly and helpful receptionist when we arrived at desk. Hotel in nice area of town. 15 mins walk to city centre. Lovely walk, close by, along promenade to harbour area. Room 12 twin, small but adequate. Room luckily had an upright fan, which was very much appreciated, due to unusual hot spell in North Scotland. There was 4 small top windows you could open, which we did. Unfortunately right outside our windows, were 2 flat roofs with nesting seagulls. They were very noisy up until 10.30-11pm and again from 5am. Breakfast lady, was very good and looked after us so well. At an extra cost you could have a Continental Breakfast at £10, consisting of cereals, fresh fruit, natural or pot yoghurts, pastries, fresh juice, tea, coffee and toast or Cooked Breakfast £15; choosing 7 cooked items from menu, toast, fruit juice, tea or coffee. Billiard room at back, near restaurant. Parking at back for 5-6 cars or plenty room at side of road. Nice Hotel, but shame about seagulls.

Very nice and extra clean. Very quiet neighborhood and a short walk to the beach. I checked in after hours so I didn’t meet any staff, but they quickly answered the phone and helped me every time. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff and great location. Not so far to the train station if you are going to walk and neighborhood / the hotel is pretty quiet. Staff was really friendly to us and we really enjoyed it. Pretty close to the beach and clean rooms. Would definitely visit again.

Very nice place. Perfect location, 5 minutes walk to water, 3 minutes drive to restaurants. The rooms were large and bathrooms as well. Nice little bar. Breakfast and dinner available. 1 minute walk to Golf View Hotel with amazing views and bar/restaurant.

Really nice hotel that is well situated just a very short walk from the beachfront and the local park. Really tidy, clean room and a very comfortable bed. It's situated in a very quiet area so you're guaranteed a good nights sleep.

Some rooms are much nicer than others, we stayed previously and had lovely rooms. This time, rooms 3 and 5 were poor. Broken lights, a shower that worked sporadically, and bathrooms in desperate need of a refresh. Its a great value hotel, and the staff are lovely, but theres no excuse for broken lamps, and a shower that only functions properly when a nearby other shower is not in use ( the only explanation i can think for the issue).Breakafast poor, at £15 a head we got food that seemed to have been cooked hours before. Lovely helpful friendly staff.

Booked the West End as a half ways stop when was up in Alness for a cup football match. We checked in quite late and let the hotel know, the room was good size and nice and cosy, the kitchen and bar was still open and the food was lovely, freshly cooked and piping hot. We added on breakfast and when we arrived and it was the same lovely fresh breakfast. Never caught the name of the lady who was on breakfast service but she was lovely - very talkative and attentive. Would def stay again

Welcome overnight stop after 200 mile trip! Very comfortable bed and well appointed room. Excellent breakfast complete with haggis. Staff very attentive and helpful. Would stay again when in area. Did not eat at sister hotel.

The hotel is nice and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. It is quite far from city center and a 45£ cab ride each way. Breakfast was not worth the price. The staff was very nice.

Not as expected, the photos make the hotel look a lot more fresh and modern than it actually is. Cleanliness was okay but not amazing, rooms are dated and the bathroom wasn’t that great. I wouldn’t say it was an awful hotel, just not an 8.4 rating that I went by before booking. We had a nightmare checking in as it’s self check in and no-one had contacted us with check in details, it was a Sunday afternoon and nobody was there to answer emails or phone calls, it was all more stress than I needed after a long drive. Luckily, eventually someone did turn up, I assume the hotel manager, who was really lovely and helpful but it could have all been avoided if Expedia had passed on my email and phone number, which happens all the time apparently so I suggest contacting the property the week before arrival to make sure they have your details. I didn’t use the bar or the restaurant but the facilities are there and the menus looked nice. Check out was easy.
