Plas Weunydd

We had a really enjoyable stay here as a family. The welcome at reception was warm and friendly, which set the tone for the whole trip. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the beds in particular were excellent. The bathroom was spotless, and the toiletries were a nice touch that made it feel a bit more thoughtful than the usual budget offering. WiFi was reliable throughout and the TV worked well, which kept everyone happy in the evening. Breakfast was the one area with room for improvement. The food itself was fine, but the buffet could have done with closer monitoring. A few items ran low and were not topped up quickly, and at one point there were no clean plates available. Nothing that spoiled the stay, just a small thing that would lift the experience if the team kept a closer eye on it. Overall a comfortable, well kept hotel with friendly staff. We would happily stay again.

Rummet var fint och rent, stort härligt badrum och en bekväm säng. Ok bar och säkert mysigt om de tänt eldar som på bilderna, vilket de inte gjorde, trots att det var en ganska kall kväll. Vi upplevde personalen som oengagerad och mer intresserad av att skvallra med varandra än att prata med gästerna. De var troligen sommarjobbare utan ambitioner att ha en framtid inom turism. Maten var bedrövligt och servicen likaså. Vi fick höra att vi var tvugna att förbeställa för att få plats att äta middag, vilket vi gjorde. Men när vi åt var vi bara tre sällskap som åt, så det var långt ifrån fullt. Ett hotell som funkar för en övernattning, men i övrigt kan vi inte rekommendera det.

Nice hotel. Shame about the stench of dog piss in the bathroom. It was cleaned when we reported it but the stench remained.

We were booked in for 2 nights but our dog wasn't very well so only stayed for 2 hour's. The staff were really helpful under the circumstances, will definitely come back again.
