The place has an amazing courtyard and overall very welcoming and staff very helpful. Could do with attention to detail and in places looking very tired. Very poor mattress that was paper thin, eventually managed to get it changed on my last night of a 4 night stay.

Great location, pub & staff. We arrived at the property late just as the kitchen had closed, Kristey on the front desk ran to the kitchen to sought us food. She then checked us in, showed us the private outside terrace over looking the water and got food served up their for us. Nothing was too much trouble, great pleasant manner and anything we needed was no trouble. Excellent customer service, and the reason for our pleasant stay.

Really nice hotel - Parking is very limited. If you drive in and the three spaces are taken, there is very little room to turn around, so be wary. The bar and restaurant are very presentable with a good selection of food and drink. Breakfast is really hearty too!

This was a one night stay for work. I was in room 10. All the rooms were upstairs, there did not appear to be a lift. The room was okay, the bed was not comfortable and squeaked when I moved. The ensuite did not have any heating. There was a car park at the venue, but it was very small and I got the last space. TV on was was small and the Wifi was okay.

The second time we stayed here and ate in the restaurant in the evening too. Food and staff lovely. Rooms spacious and clean. Cooked breakfast excellent but limited buffet (we were last down this time so may have just ran low) Enjoyed the bar and cocktails and the outside area is great Will definitely return if in the area

Hotel was also a busy pub with sky sports screens and plenty of eating/drinking areas, had a very good vibe with nice friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Limited parking at Hotel but you can use square opposite overnight but you need to move your car by 9am.

The room was clean & tidy, the door was very hard to open from the inside, due to the carpet, the shower fixings were a little stained with water which made it look a little old, but overall, a lovely stay for one night, the room had everything we needed & was clean & tidy, the breakfast was also good.

This is a lovely old pub, so one needs to remember things may be a trifle warn. That being said, the shower was hot, the bathroom floor was heated, but grout missing in some of the floor tlies. The food served in the restaurant was AMAZING and the staff were friendly and helpful. I can't thank them enough for making my stay so enjoyable.

Check in was great. The hotel itself very clean, tidy and staff accommodating. However, no tea bags in room or decaf coffee. Furthermore the kettle was completely frothed up with limescale and filter was missing from spout, totally unusable. Electric light above bathroom mirror faulty and therefore could not use the electric shaver point attached, this was very disappointing!

Have stayed at this hotel loads of times due to having family in the area . Always made to feel welcome, the rooms are spotless and the bed is so comfortable . We will definitely be back

We enjoyed our stay, the thriving bar area was not for us but the quiet lounge handy. Dinner and breakfasts were excellent. Staff efficient and friendly. Check in excellent. Only down point were the traffic noise and the poor wifi signal.

room 4 is a road facing room and as a results its very noisy as the hotel is on the main road. Cant have the window open to sleep. Older building means no double glazing. I had an issue with the shower - too hot to use and you could only make it very hot or boiling.....so much so i couldn't even stand in the shower as the water in the tray was too hot ! Brilliant staff though. Evening meal environment spoilt by a young chap who thought he was really intelligent by F'ing and Jeffing as loud as he could at the bar. My impression was he may have been an off duty member of staff. ( makes me sound like a miserable old man - but it really wasn't needed) Great staff though and the food was good

Chambre avec manque de rénovation La lumière des lampadaires dans la rue passe à travers les rideaux la nuit donc difficile de bien dormir + mal isolé du bruit on entend les voitures passer dans la rue j’ai très mal dormi car réveillée très souvent. Petit déjeuner à partir de 7h30 comme j’avais vu mais c’est dommage pour les hôtes qui commencent leur journée a 8h ou même avant… sinon l’hôtel en lui même et le personnel sont charmants et le restaurant est bon

Lovely hotel, restaurant busy with local ppl having dinner / breakfast. Staff were very pleasant especially the young lady that booked me in and helped me with bus timetable. Breakfast very good. I had a single room, it was clean very basic TV didn’t work. Bathroom was nice but no heating at all and was minus 3. So extremely cold having a shower.

We stayed here as a family of four for 3 nights over the weekend. Having read reviews about noise, I was a little unsure as to whether I would regret the booking. My fear was unfounded. We understand that the bar was open until between midnight and one o'clock, however, none of us were disturbed. Positives 1. Spacious main bedroom with a smaller separate bedroom with twin beds for the children 2. The room was nice and warm 3. The staff were brilliant, especially the lovely Scottish lady and all the staff working in the restaurant at breakfast 4. The breakfasts were cooked to order and a fantastic choice Negatives 1. The mattress was thin and soft 2. The room needed redecorating a in a few places Would I stay here again? Yes. Delicious breakfast and brilliant staff. Spacious room that just needs a quality mattress and a lick of paint in places.

Gorgeous building in the centre of the historical town of Market deeping . The internal decor of the bar and restaurant is lovely and very comfortable. Friendliest staff ever . We had lunch of southern fried chicken burger , very generous portion and delicious. We booked one night b&b . The room was spacious and the bed was huge , spotless and very comfortable. Lovely bathroom . Breakfast was delicious we had eggs benedict and amazing coffee . Would definitely stay again . Highly recommended

Great location, pub & staff. We arrived at the property late just as the kitchen had closed, Kristey on the front desk ran to the kitchen to sought us food. She then checked us in, showed us the private outside terrace over looking the water and got food served up their for us. Nothing was too much trouble, great pleasant manner and anything we needed was no trouble. Excellent customer service, and the reason for our pleasant stay.

Lovely staff and in a great location for commuting into Peterborough. Rooms are great but need a little TLC in places. Parking is limited on site, but available.

This is a lovely old pub, so one needs to remember things may be a trifle warn. That being said, the shower was hot, the bathroom floor was heated, but grout missing in some of the floor tlies. The food served in the restaurant was AMAZING and the staff were friendly and helpful. I can't thank them enough for making my stay so enjoyable.

We stayed here as a family of four for 3 nights over the weekend. Having read reviews about noise, I was a little unsure as to whether I would regret the booking. My fear was unfounded. We understand that the bar was open until between midnight and one o'clock, however, none of us were disturbed. Positives 1. Spacious main bedroom with a smaller separate bedroom with twin beds for the children 2. The room was nice and warm 3. The staff were brilliant, especially the lovely Scottish lady and all the staff working in the restaurant at breakfast 4. The breakfasts were cooked to order and a fantastic choice Negatives 1. The mattress was thin and soft 2. The room needed redecorating a in a few places Would I stay here again? Yes. Delicious breakfast and brilliant staff. Spacious room that just needs a quality mattress and a lick of paint in places.

Lovely location, most comfortable. Parking a bit limited. Good breakfast but only disappointment was that with a restaurant and a bar advertising a selection of real coffees, so obviously coffee machine(s) available, the breakfast coffee was hot water in a pump flask and a choice of coffee sachets and tea bags. Expectations were higher.

The second time we stayed here and ate in the restaurant in the evening too. Food and staff lovely. Rooms spacious and clean. Cooked breakfast excellent but limited buffet (we were last down this time so may have just ran low) Enjoyed the bar and cocktails and the outside area is great Will definitely return if in the area

Hotel was also a busy pub with sky sports screens and plenty of eating/drinking areas, had a very good vibe with nice friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Limited parking at Hotel but you can use square opposite overnight but you need to move your car by 9am.

The hotel itself was fine and the room was great. There were three large televisions in two of the bar areas and the outside area at the rear, but there was also - thankfully - a quiet room at the front where you could get away from them. When we checked in (around 6.00 pm on a Saturday) we were informed that breakfast was served from 7.00 am to "about" 11.00 am, and the food service that evening would be finishing at 8.30 pm. We confirmed that we would be able to eat in the quiet room at the front, thus avoiding the televisions without having to resort to the formality of the restaurant. Indeed, the tables in there had menus and also QR codes enabling orders to be placed online from the table if desired. After a drink, we we attempted to order food in this way at 7.40 pm. At the final point of placing the order, the webpage stated that the online ordering facility was closed and therefore we should order in person. I then went to the bar to place the order, only to be informed that they had stopped serving food - by the same staff member who had informed us at check-in that they would be serving until 8.30 pm. The explanation given was that they had admitted a party of 38 so the chef had just decided to close the kitchen. Even the fact that we were residents made no difference. We therefore ended up traipsing around Market Deeping looking for somewhere to eat. We also subsequently learned from information in the room that breakfast was served only until 10.00 am.
