Overpriced hotel for the region. The owner is clearly talking advantage of the western tourists stopping here before or after a safari or kili climb. $15 USD for breakfast while most other hotels offer it for free and $20 USD for a basic buffet dinner while you can pay half that anywhere else. There are no kettles or tea in the rooms, the mattress was ripped, and the towels smelled of smoke as they are clearly hung outside to dry. You would expect that at a cheap hotel, but never for that price. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, especially the house and restaurant managers. The a-la-carte menu was good, just overpriced. It’s a shame that the owners do not invest in upkeep and basic items like bottled water. They only supply an unsanitary, open bottle of „house filtered“ water in the room under the pretense of being environmentally friendly. You can buy a 1.5 L bottle in the restaurant for what you pay for 10L outside the gate. They will also add a 3% surcharge for using a credit card and do not give the current exchange rate if you wish to pay in shillings.

Absolutely love this property and it was EXACTLY what i needed after a week long trek up Kilimanjaro. Very relaxing atmosphere with a health-vibe. Masseuse on premises made it very convenient. The food menu at restaurant was also very good. Location is very close to Moshi town (about 15min drive - though if you stay here, you really dont need to go into town - Moshi is very disappointing). Only con was the very spotty wifi.
