The pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance. It appears to be under new management or recently SOLD because the sign was covered and we had to use the address to find the hotel. Also, there is no breakfast onsite as the restaurant is closed. Basically, it was understaffed and underserviced.

Location is good. Place is much older and tired than advertised. Yes there was a pool and hot tub, but with no water in them! Thin walls, no amenities.

Given a dirty room at first that had other people stuff in it and no bedding on beds, given a new room, also very dirty. Front desk blamed Expedia for booking the room. It’s not Expedias fault you didn’t clean your rooms. All outside door to hotel were broken and propped open. Very awful smell and here was not even named the same as the booking. Don’t recommend staying here

This place is very run down. My room smelled badly of cigarettes. When I told the front desk they didn’t seem to care. There were old refrigerators being stored out in the pool area. This place is a mess.

Good clean rooms with a good rate! Staff was friendly and had breakfast bags ready to go for our trip in the morning. Outside needs an upgrade but overall very happy!!

This was not the cleanest place. The floors had not been vacuumed or mopped. The beds were clean but there was hair on the sheets. Just old and dated. Look someplace else and use this as a last resort. I won’t be returning.

Easy check-in Chairs in room very stained and dirty. Top of coffee maker very dusty. Sliding door to bathroom made loud noise when sliding in. Exterior looked run down, full trash bags by door to room hallway.

Although it was clearly an older model that hasn’t had a facelift in a while, we felt the value was excellent. It was much better priced than all the other hotels in town, and for the price we were very happy. Rooms were outdated but clean, service was friendly, hot water was plentiful.

The room was clean, washroom was ‘tight’ with little space between the tub and water closet. If the pool/hot tub was in service our particular room would have been quite noisy! There was some conversation happening outside our room when we were ready to sleep and we could hear almost every word.

It was on par with some Motel 6s that I have stayed at. Clean and functional. Staff was nice and helpful. You could get nit-picky, but really for the amount paid it was just fine. The only negative I really had was the shower head was low. I\'m about 5\'8" and I had to bend my head back pretty far to get under it and the power wasn\'t the greatest. But hey the water was hot and it did the job. I would stay there again.

Older hotel. A little quirky with the added halls around what was once the entrance into the rooms. When you open the blinds to the one window it looks into a hallway. Had dog hair on all the furniture, we did not have a dog or cat nor requested a room for one. A little dirty overall but the bed was comfortable and lady at check in was great!

Internet signal is hit and miss in the rooms to the back. Shower head is very low requiring a person at 5\'9" to duck. Carpet stains in the room. Beds are ok. Only positive is price and convenient location.

Great location and great staff. Good value for price. Our room was on the main floor and one bed is literally a few feet from the road! Traffic noise is an issue.

It is under construction so no pool use it hot tub or ice machine. Curtains in the room were very old and the light came through. Breakfast no part of the package. Of more concern is that our reserved room had no window to the outside which I believe is a potential fire hazard. We asked for a room with a window and the pleasant staff quickly changed our location

The fellow at the front desk was so very friendly! We arrived very late after a concert and although I'm sure he was tired he was very patient and quick getting us checked in. Same fellow greeted us early the next morning at checkout. Sounds like it's a family-run business and they are doing a very good job. Building is older but our room was very clean and well-kept. We had a brief but great stay. Definitely reccomend!

Front desk was very friendly , told me there was motorcycle parking close to our room , told me there is a very good Mexican restaurant just across the street so we didn’t have to ride our bikes there. The room was huge and very comfortable with a patio . In the morning they placed towels on our bikes to wipe them down. Highly recommend staying here

The staff was very nice and friendly. It was very budget friendly and one of the employees, Elizabeth, was very kind and recommended the burger place next door called Sever a Burger. It was good place and really nearby. The rooms were clean and if I need an extra blanket, pillow, or toilet paper they would hand them to me. The grab and go breakfast is convenient. I like the sense of safety this location has and I was able to to my laundry without thinking if my clothes was going to be stolen. Their rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy. I don’t mind cable tv so it was perfect. Overall, I throughly enjoyed my stay and got to learn more about Sandpoint. I would recommend staying here if you’re really chill and really don’t want to get bothered by the mundaness of life.

The desk clerk knew NOTHING about the motel. Took us 20 minutes to find our room, then the key card didn't work. I reserved two queens room, but the beds were both old and double, not queen. Pass this one by.

We booked this stay last minute for attending the Festival at Sandpoint concert. It was only .6 miles from the venue so super easy to get to. The staff was super friendly at check in and check out. The to go breakfast box was a great touch.

Although they are transitioning to America's Best Value Inns, it was a very pleasant stay at a reasonable rate. Close to downtown shops and activities with easy access to outlying areas. Room, although a little dared, we clean and comfortable.

First of all, I'd like to point out that the name of this hotel has changed. When the cab arrived to drop me off, the name on the sign said America's Best. I arrived from the Amtrak Station after 3 a.m. and there was someone available at that ungodly hour to check me in. The handicapped bathroom was inadequate due to the shower head not working properly. The shower head did not fit the into the bracket and could only be held in the hand, leaving only one hand to hold the safety rail. I pointed this out to the front desk staff and she said she would let the maintenance man know about it. The restaurant that used to be connected to this location is out of business and the only close restaurant is Jack-in-Box. But there is a nice diner (Connie's) about a half mile walk away, if you're there without a vehicle and are able to make the walk. Fortunately my stay was in summer, so the weather was perfect.

Deceptive posting. The bar/lounge is closed. As a returning guest, I expected a pool and hot tub, but apparently the new management closed it, yet fails to mention this at all on the posting. They simply say, oh we didn't advertise a pool anymore at the front desk. Multiple trips over the years, but this is definitely the last.

Good clean rooms with a good rate! Staff was friendly and had breakfast bags ready to go for our trip in the morning. Outside needs an upgrade but overall very happy!!

A modest hotel located on a busy, major highway. Seems to be under new ownership, since "Americas Best" identification sign was temporarily attached to the original sign. Pool was empty and attached restaurant was permanently closed. But I had no complaints about our comfortable, clean room. It is a good overnight spot on our way to next destination. Front desk was friendly. Within easy driving distance of downtown Sandpoint.

We booked this stay last minute for attending the Festival at Sandpoint concert. It was only .6 miles from the venue so super easy to get to. The staff was super friendly at check in and check out. The to go breakfast box was a great touch.

The pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance. It appears to be under new management or recently SOLD because the sign was covered and we had to use the address to find the hotel. Also, there is no breakfast onsite as the restaurant is closed. Basically, it was understaffed and underserviced.

Room was very clean. Fridge and microwave were great to have. Elizabeth was efficient and kind at check in. We really appreciated the breakfasts to go.

Overall, this was an okay hotel. I’m not someone who expects absolute perfection when it comes to hotels, but there were definitely a few downsides to my stay. I understand that Sandpoint is a popular and more expensive area, but I felt the price was quite high for the overall quality of the hotel. The bed appeared clean and was nicely made, and I appreciated that small toiletries like shampoo were provided since I had forgotten to bring my own. There were a few maintenance and cleanliness issues. The heat lamp knob in the bathroom was broken and wouldn’t turn on. Was that detrimental to my stay? No, but for the price, it would have been nice to have everything in working order. There were also some stains on the bathroom walls and a couple pieces of popcorn on the floor when I arrived. On the positive side, the AC worked perfectly, which was greatly appreciated in the middle of summer. The shower had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. The staff were also very friendly, helpful, and pleasant to interact with. My biggest complaint was the value. Paying over $500 for a two-night stay felt excessive considering the condition and overall quality of the property. In a pinch, it’s a decent place to stay, and the basics were covered, but at that price point I would have expected a little more attention to cleanliness and maintenance.

Older hotel for sure! Our room had a very strong musty odor. As staff didn’t have any deodorize spray we bought some Febreeze and left the bathroom fan running. Both the pool and jacuzzi were empty and didn’t appear to have been used in a long time! Realized several hours after checking out I’d left some jewelry on the table so called hotel. Vanessa located my forgotten pieces and arranged to ship them to me 😊
