This establishment was by far one of the nicest places I have ever stayed... It felt more like renting a house than being at a hotel... Mostly because we were the only people there due to bad weather. The property is very remote, with a 15 to 30 minute drive to go to Walmart or dinner. (A lot of places close at 9:00 p.m., so get there early.) The property was very quiet in the morning, which allowed for spending time outside and enjoying nature... Especially from the enclosed deck. David who greeted us was exceptionally kind and thoughtful, staying a few minutes after 7:00 p.m. to make sure we didn't have any questions before he left for the day. (They do not have 24-hour coverage, but the owner lives nearby: plan accordingly.) Our room was very cozy, and we turned the air conditioning to the highest level, and actually had to turn it down overnight because it was almost too cold in the room.

Our stay at Harborwalk Lodge was fantastic. It’s off the beaten path but close enough to Galveston where the drive is nominal. The breakfast was delicious, the room was great, and the owners are a joy. 10/10 would stay there again.
