We always stay here when we come to Sandpoint. The rooms are equipped with ear plugs, white noise machines, and yummy coffee. Always so clean and comfortable! I would highly recommend.

Rooms were clean and well appointed. The consideration from the staff was top notch. Not many hotels would offer a sound machine in the room to help drown out the occasional passing train. The free YouTube TV was a nice surprise. The decorations were very charming. Blue Pine local to the area adorns the room in a tasteful way, and the kitchenette was very useful. Great value for the price. And will definitely come back when we are in the area again.

Rooms were clean and well appointed. The consideration from the staff was top notch. Not many hotels would offer a sound machine in the room to help drown out the occasional passing train. We stayed in the jet tube room! The tub was huge and worked great! The room was super clean actually the entire property was very clean and well maintained! We will be back for sure! Also Miss Amy was so sweet and welcoming!

This place is a gem. Totally remodeled with very comfortable beds and pillows. Easy access to most everything. Some boat parking with power available. I love this place and stay there any time I am in the area. The staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating.

The property was easy to access and the self check-in was very convenient. The air conditioner was going and it was greatly appreciated in a 36 degree heat wave. The bed was comfy, the fridge and bathroom were immaculate. We loved the teas/coffees and beauty products. We’re stayed for the easy access to Sandpoint Public Beach, and it didn’t disappoint. Hipster vibe was 10/10.

What a great hybrid hotel experience in a remodeled highway motel with outside seperate entrance but with automated confirmation and room access via code programmed to your specific stay. Loved the speed of communication, the easy of access (coming in after hours) and being able to roll in and have a comfortable quick stay.

This hotel was perfect! Clean and nicely decorated. I would 100% stay here again next time I’m in the Sandpoint area. Easy check in. You can park right in front of your room. No stairs or elevators. Super convenient. Not your typical motel.

Everything felt updated, functional, and clean. Nice having a large sink (in addition to the bathroom sink), dishes, microwave, coffee maker (plus coffee and tea), luggage racks, plenty of outlets, stocked bathroom (best-quality toilet paper, tissues, hand soap, shampoo, & body wash), multiple lighting options, fast Wi-Fi, and a heater that works well. It's noisy due to the highway and nearby train tracks, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. You may be able to feel large trains rumbling through too but they weren't running late at night. We weren't bothered by any of this and just watched the flat screen TV for the little time that we hung out in the room. Very close to the road up to Schweitzer, and there are great food options nearby. 4-6" of snow came down the night and early morning before we left. As a very nice bonus, the site manager shoveled our car while shoveling the sidewalk to make it easier for us to load. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

Cute motel with outdoor room entrances and parking directly in front of each room. Love the beetle pine wood used inside our room. Check in is easy. I received a text with my room#and door code. There is an on site manager if you do need anything or have a problem. Pet friendly.

This is the 1950s auto court updated with just the right modern amenities that sophisticated road ramblers require as the sine qua non of quality. The room is clean in the small details that matter. Everything is laid out immaculately. There's a pleasing, soothing air about the room. You feel wanted and welcomed.

This was our second time staying at the Outdoors Inn and we will most certainly return again next year. The owners have totally remodeled this motel and it’s wonderful. It is a great, convenient place to stay. Rooms are very nice and spacious. Very comfortable beds. Thanks for a great place to stay while in town for the soccer tournaments!

Nicely renovated room. Pretty spacious. Busy road in front, so there is noise from the passing cars. Nice pit stop on our family road trip. Breakfast nook was small, but had a nice selection of fruit/cereal/toast….

Completely upgraded room, very clean, everything was excellent! As one review mentioned there is a train track across the highway and you can hear muffled voices in the adjacent room- but after a ski day when we sleep, we hear nothing!

We stayed for one night in August 2023 (weeknight). Our check in was contact-less which was awesome and easy. Communication from the staff via text was great and informative. The rooms here have all been remodeled/redone and they did a pretty good job. The bed was comfortable and there was a mini fridge & microwave. The room was lacking just a bit in counter space. They had 2 suitcase holders, which was great. But not much room to put stuff down. The end tables were small and there wasn't any other tables in the room so we were forced to eat dinner on the bed. The bathroom has also been updated but the bathroom also lacks counter space. A couple small shelves would have helped tremendously. They provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion - however they weren't in travel sized bottles and weren't sealed in any way so we didn't use them. I understand this concept but as a traveler, I'll never use those items that aren't sealed (you just never know unfortunately). Check out was super easy as it was also contact-less. In fact, the only time we saw an employee was when we were packing the truck to leave. I didn't mind this at all, as they were readily available via text if we needed anything (which we didn't). Overall our stay was great and we'd definitely stay here again.

My family and i had a great 1 night stay at this motel. Self check in/out with electric locks on the doors. The room was clean. Parking right in front of our room. Sound proof was more than adequate but the staff provided ear plugs just in case as it sits on a busy road. The room had everything we needed- toiletries, fridge, microwave, chairs out front. Customer service was excellent, owners were very friendly and communicative. They accommodated a last minute late checkout. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

There's no daily interruption of maid services, but a quick call brings anything you might need. Its a home away from home. This is a small locally owned buisness and I appreciate knowing they care about the buisness and their guests. The Outdoors Inn is my first choice when I visit Sandpoint.

Room clean, bed comfortable. Self check-in/out good in principle but in our case could not get in first time. Second time someone was there to help. Property right next to very busy road and railway. Not really walkable to anything due to location. People (not guests) outside our door in the parking lot during the evening so not even comfortable to sit outside on a nice evening. I appreciate what the owners are trying to accomplish, but didn’t work for us.

I highly recommend the Outdoors Inn. The staff is wonderful and always available when you need anything. The Outdoors Inn is an eco friendly place with above average amenities. Check in is the easiest I've ever experienced and with parking right outside your door. The rooms are cery clean and comfortable with a welcoming atmosphere. Its a dog friendly place, but you wouldn't know it by the clean rooms. There isn't daily services which adds to the home feel. Hiwever, if you need anything there is daily on site staff that will provide your needs. This place gives you everything you need without the thing you don't. Its location offers access to many local restaurants and quick access to all the things you visit Sandpoint and Ponderay for.

The owner greeted us and introduced herself before we even got to the office. She gave us recommendations on where to eat and things to see. The room was exceptionally clean! Super cute motel and rooms and would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for three nights in mid-March of 2024 in order to enjoy a couple of days of great, spring-like skiing at Schweitzer. Outdoors Inn is a recently renovated motel that the new owners have done an outstanding job of remodelling. Our room was great and the rate was very reasonable. We will be back!

The hotel is in good shape and a convenient location for the area. The only drawback is the road noise and occasional train but ear plugs would fix that.

We needed a last minute room while traveling to Sandpoint. Price was right and only 2 miles out of town. Was given door code via txt (easy ) room was nice and clean. Local coffee. On busy road but curtains block out some noise. Restaurants nearby. Happy with our stay. Would return.

Room clean, bed comfortable. Self check-in/out good in principle but in our case could not get in first time. Second time someone was there to help. Property right next to very busy road and railway. Not really walkable to anything due to location. People (not guests) outside our door in the parking lot during the evening so not even comfortable to sit outside on a nice evening. I appreciate what the owners are trying to accomplish, but didn’t work for us.

Loved the jetted tub! So roomy! Bed was the most comfortable I've slept on in a long time while on the road. Really enjoyed the hoot owl cafe within walking distance for breakfast. Loved the shampoo and conditioner so much I'm trying to find it now!

Nicely renovated room. Pretty spacious. Busy road in front, so there is noise from the passing cars. Nice pit stop on our family road trip. Breakfast nook was small, but had a nice selection of fruit/cereal/toast….

Check-in was an absolute breeze and done over the phone by text. Was really easy to get to the mountain in the morning, which was a huge plus. Has a cool old-school road motel feel with updated rooms, I really dug the simplicity of the place. Get breakfast from the Hoot Owl Cafe down the road while you’re there.

Everything felt updated, functional, and clean. Nice having a large sink (in addition to the bathroom sink), dishes, microwave, coffee maker (plus coffee and tea), luggage racks, plenty of outlets, stocked bathroom (best-quality toilet paper, tissues, hand soap, shampoo, & body wash), multiple lighting options, fast Wi-Fi, and a heater that works well. It's noisy due to the highway and nearby train tracks, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. You may be able to feel large trains rumbling through too but they weren't running late at night. We weren't bothered by any of this and just watched the flat screen TV for the little time that we hung out in the room. Very close to the road up to Schweitzer, and there are great food options nearby. 4-6" of snow came down the night and early morning before we left. As a very nice bonus, the site manager shoveled our car while shoveling the sidewalk to make it easier for us to load. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

This was just a motel room on the highway. It was not spacious, although it was clean and had everything that one needed, towels, soap, coffee, etc. The bed occupied the entire room. It was probably way overpriced at $260.52.

The room was clean and very cute. The noise is an issue as there is a train that goes by and it’s right off of the highway. We chose it bcuz it was dog friendly but we were not allowed to leave the dogs in the room to explore town in case they barked and the walls are paper thin. It’s a very cute place and it was clean and Amy was very responsive but the noise and irony concerning the noise from dogs would keep us from going back. If you have no dogs and don’t mind trains it’s great!!! We didn’t find the room worth what we paid for it
