Accommodations recently remodeled. Only downside was that the large cushioned chair had to have been recycled from pre-remodeling. Pretty disgusting. Plus side is it's across street from Dennys.

Welcome to the 1980s! When I arrived to check in, the woman said I have to fill out a piece of paper with the same information that I already registered on my Expedia profile. And it's the same information that's already printed on my driver license she was holding. I told her that her hotel already has all of this information, so why should I waste time writing it on a piece of paper? She just said that everyone has to do it. If it weren't so late at night, I would have walked out right then. Does Expedia's software not work in Kilgore, like it works everywhere else in the country? If not, when did it become MY job to fill out little pieces of paper that I don't want? She can fill it out later, after I've gone to bed. That's like handing you a mop and bucket and telling guests that they're supposed to mop the floor of their room. Also, the lobby was always locked, day and night. They have dispensers for coffee and hot water and tea in the lobby; you're just not allowed to access them. There are better hotels out there. Avoid this one.

You may find a cheap with a good review and high score. When I traveled with I-20 in Texas, I felt lucky to find this hotel and reserved the afternoon for my night. Overall, the quality of the hotel is miserable. Those are examples of errant things - It looks like bed bugs on the bed, the gym was closed and used for a storage room, equipment such as an iron and an iron board were not there, the area looks not nice, and the breakfast was not provided. The TV is old, the channel is minimal and does not work well. I cannot trust the score and the review here.

It was very humid in the room, no matter how cold I put the AC, it wouldn’t get cold enough. I had a dirty towel in my restroom, when I got out of the shower the towel had dirt marks on it. THE SHOWER WATER IS TERRIBLE. The water is slimy. I could not get off the layer of slime it was leaving on my body. The bed sheets had an unpleasant smell. I only needed a room for a few hours to get some rest during my road trip , but I would NOT stay here again.

Unfortunately the property was dirty, I wiped down our room when we got in. The reclining chair was broken when we arrived. I woke up in the night due to a very strong weed smell, it came right through the walls and air ducts. I was not able to sleep it was so strong, and I have a small baby with me whom I was worried it would both. It didn't seem like the safest place and I would not stay again.

For the price I suppose it was suitable. It was very clean and staff was nice. The bed and and pillows was the most uncomfortable, did not get a good nights sleep either night. If you need a cheap stay this is the place. but i would have shelled out another 20-30 bucks a night to be able to get sleep.

Well this hotel has smoking and no smoking room. I picked no smoking room because that was all that was available online. Knowing that some hotel only put a number of hotels online. Some when checking in the lady at the desk asked md did i want smoker or no smoking room. I assumed there was a smoking available. So i paid and little to my surprise she booked me in a non smoking room, so i called the front desk to inquire. She tells me in nasty tone " i put u what u booked for" i said but u just asked me if i wanted a smoking room and stated yes but instead u put me in a non smoking. But then tells me i have one available but at a higher cost. The point is the money wasn't a issue it the nasty way she talk to me. She tried to tell me every room in was booked up. I stayed at this hotel the whole weekend and there were no more than 6 cars on the whole lot the whole weekend. There were room all around me empty. Now with all that being the hotel was clean. But staff made my experience horrible

Accommodations recently remodeled. Only downside was that the large cushioned chair had to have been recycled from pre-remodeling. Pretty disgusting. Plus side is it's across street from Dennys.

Welcome to the 1980s! When I arrived to check in, the woman said I have to fill out a piece of paper with the same information that I already registered on my Expedia profile. And it's the same information that's already printed on my driver license she was holding. I told her that her hotel already has all of this information, so why should I waste time writing it on a piece of paper? She just said that everyone has to do it. If it weren't so late at night, I would have walked out right then. Does Expedia's software not work in Kilgore, like it works everywhere else in the country? If not, when did it become MY job to fill out little pieces of paper that I don't want? She can fill it out later, after I've gone to bed. That's like handing you a mop and bucket and telling guests that they're supposed to mop the floor of their room. Also, the lobby was always locked, day and night. They have dispensers for coffee and hot water and tea in the lobby; you're just not allowed to access them. There are better hotels out there. Avoid this one.

You may find a cheap with a good review and high score. When I traveled with I-20 in Texas, I felt lucky to find this hotel and reserved the afternoon for my night. Overall, the quality of the hotel is miserable. Those are examples of errant things - It looks like bed bugs on the bed, the gym was closed and used for a storage room, equipment such as an iron and an iron board were not there, the area looks not nice, and the breakfast was not provided. The TV is old, the channel is minimal and does not work well. I cannot trust the score and the review here.

Room was clean but HOT. The air was turned off. We had to sit outside for 30 minutes while it cooled off. Booked the room through Hotels.com and paid thru them. The hotel charged me again. So I was charged twice for one night. We asked for the bottom floor and were told there was not any available. There were 3 cars on the parking lot. All but two rooms on the bottom had the curtains wide open showing nobody in the rooms. Not the most customer friendly.

To Start, the "No Smoking Room" Smelled like smoke. All the corners near the beds and behind have grime and dirt. The extra lock that is supposed to help keep you safe at night was broken right off. I had to put luggage in front of the door. Also a Couple times when the door was shut, we could just push it right open without a key card. The tub was stained, and then I got bit in bed Multiple times. My wounds were swollen and full of pus by morning. I had taken several photos of them and had to get medical treatment for them. There are open scratches on the wall. were it looks like someone moved the head board and never bothered to finish the maintenance on the wall. cracked plaster all over the floor under that spot. showing the room hadn't been vacuumed in a while. They charge like they are a "Holiday Inn". But the amenities and services provided are less than an "Econo Lodge" While just off I-10 It's worth it to travel a little more for one of the Hotels, as the only Near by shop is a TA gas station.

clean room, clean property, courteous staff, easy to find, food and gas within a block away. easy access to interstate. Only negative would be the bed. If you like firm mattresses, you will love it. I like softer ones, but most hotels have the same bed types.
