Ibis Styles Bucharest Airport

I really liked that they offered a FREE shuttle service from airport. Front desk called me twice upon arrival to make sure I was picked up because my flight arrived at 11pm. Great customer service!

Everything was excellent. The food in the restaurant was excellent as was tge service. Front desk was friendly and helpful. The shuttle to the airport was very convenient. Everything was clean.

Had stayed at this hotel in 2023, hence the reason I booked it again. Very conveniently located near the airport, a short 20-25 min walk from Arrivals, provided one does not have any mobility issues or more than a carry on suitcase. There is now a charge of 5 Euro per person for shuttle service to the airport. Just let front desk know what time you need the ride upon check in (shuttle leaves at the top of the hour from hotel) Room was clean and AC worked. Some noise from aircraft but nothing bothersome. Good breakfast buffet. Kudos to staff for making sure food was replenished as needed and tables were clean.

Airport shuttle was right on time. Good option for short airport stay.

Hotel is a good hotel for short stays. You must arrange your own transportation from the airport or have phone that can be used in Romania. We were stuck at airport due to no shuttle(they no longer provide transport from airport). We did not receive this info until after we left home.

Rooms too hot. Advertised as self parking but there is no parking, nearby parking is not free

Very clean and modern hotel located adjacent to the airport. Had a nice breakfast and dinner options. Shuttle to airport was reliable and helpful. Room was great. TV had many channels in many languages. Excellent stay! Will return!

Basic airport hotel, no coffee making facilities in the room, bed was comfy, shower worked with hot water.’Breakfast was bearable . Staff were I would say offering a standard service, nothing above and beyond just a regular service. All In all a OK stay for the price, free shuttle bus , you need to go down stairs from arrivals find the blue buses and walk towards the carpark, there is an area inbetween where the buses are parked and the carpark is situated, this is where you get the shuttle bus. It is white with green IBIS written on it.

The room was average, the smell in the room war terrible. Mold or some kind of water damage.

Hotel was in poor condition with damage & stains on the walls. bathroom was poorly designed with terrible drainage and heating didn't work. Room itself also wasn't clean with hairs on the bed and stains on the bedding. while next to the airport runway you'd expect to hear some noise from the planes, the road in front the hotel was also very noisy, the windows didn't seem to do much of a job of blocking out the sound. the one shining light was the free shuttled to the airport. really useful service.

Hotel was perfect for Therme Spa. Minutes from airport. Half an hour Uber to city. Beds extremely comfortable. Very clean. Good choice for breakfast. Didn’t have an evening meal here. Staff polite and friendly. Rooms quite warm. Air conditioning didn’t make much difference. On a busy road so may be uncomfortable in the summer.

Great friendly staff, front desk, dinner, breakfast, and housekeeping staff. Very limited options for restaurants nearby, so we ate at the hotel restaurant. Food was very good. Cheeseburger was absolutely delicious and risotto was also very good. Only downside is on the front of hotel is main highway into Bucharest from north with lots of traffic noise and on the north side is airport runway with planes landing day and night. Noise is muted if window is closed, but if you open window to cool room (AC is turned off this time of the year), lots of noise.

although convenient for the airport, this hotel left a lot to be desired. The rooms are very compact for two friends sharing. The bathroom is difficult to navigate due to the space saving features and you have to stand in certain positions to be able to open the door. There were no tea/coffee making facilities and the fridge was out of service. The biggest issue we had was how HOT the hotel was. Uncomfortably hot. We attempted to use the in room fan settings to no avail. We had the window wide open but this wasn’t great either due to noise (busy road by the airport). I phoned reception who advised nothing could be done except turn the fan completely off - which we did. But we were still forced to try and sleep in a still incredibly hot room and very loud noise due to the window needing to be open. Horrible experience. The shower was also interesting. As well as the shower control hanging off the wall and there being a holes in the tile, it was impossible to have a decent shower as it continuously fluctuated between either scolding hot or freezing cold water. Couldn’t stand under it comfortably. Managed by filling the sink and washing that way. Thankfully we were visiting the therme spa close by so we were able to shower properly there. Aside from the issues with heat and with the shower, The room is tired and in need of repair. Broken and out of service items aren’t really acceptable in a global brand such as ibis - styles.. not even budget! The breakfast was uninspiring.

The room was small but cozy and comfortable

What was good: clean, wifi, friendly staff. What was bad: a very small room without ventilation or working AC, very hot, if you open the window - noisy highway, can't sleep. It's like a 2-3* motel, I expected better comfort when you pay ~100$ per night.

Great hotel, close to the airport but still quiet

The hotel is convenient to get to the airport however with a median on the highway it’s challenging to get to and taxi/Uber drivers won’t go there unless paid in cash. Book the shuttle/Bolt through the reception for 5€. The room was fine but you can hear the traffic from the highway so not great if you’re a light sleeper. The bathroom smells quite badly at some points of the day/evening. Some of the staff were lovely, others unhelpful and unfriendly. This may have been due to a language barrier.

This hotel was so hot that we had to take a shower before and after the evening. You couldn't open the windows to let it in cool air because it was so loud with the ambulance and airplane noises. I asked about turning on the AC and they said we couldn't do it because it was too cold outside. Then why did they had the heat up so much? Just ridiculous. Hopefully this place like the plague

Great experience. Very close to the airport (20min walk). Its very clean the staff is amazing as well, very helpful. I needed an adapter for my uk plug and the receptionist provided me with one. Also, they have a shuttle service to the airport which is great! Breakfast buffet is ample and tastes great. Theres also a bus stop right around the corner and you can take buses all the way to the city.

The young lady (receptionist) was very helpful and knowledgeable, unfortunately I forgot her name. Overall the hotel was very nice and clean, it was a great place to stay.

2nd time at this property and cant fault it, convenient for what i need and good size and quality rooms/beds. The free shuttle is handy and the staff are welcoming and even arranged an early check-in which was really appreciated. Would highly recommend and will be back again soon

The staff is bad. Checking into two rooms took a very long time, and the service was unfriendly. Housekeeping walked into our room at 6:30 a.m. What hotel doesn't know if there are guests in a room? What hotel housekeeping starts service at 6:30 a.m.? We booked a suite and the layout of the room was terrible. No access to a TV in the bedroom. Parking is also a long walk from the front of the hotel. Expect to get really hot if you have to carry luggage during the Summer. The rooms are not entire clean as well. Location is good because it's close to the airport but that's about it.

The person at the reception was very very rude. He had a "dahh" attitude to questions asked. I am not comnig back to this one.

Overall, this was an ok place and served its purpose for a quick rest before a red-eye flight. The staff at check in were lovely, had a nice dinner in the restaurant, ample parking, comfortable beds and a clean bathroom. However... My husband and I were instructed upon checking in that a complimentary grab-and-go breakfast could be found in the lobby, which was a wonderful perk as we were checking out in the early hours of the morning. As we were leaving, we dropped our keys at the front desk and grabbed a sandwich and juice from the kiosk that we were shown and sat down to eat in the lobby.. As my husband collected the sandwich wrappers and empty juice bottles to find a trash receptacle, the woman at the front desk began shouting (not exaggerating here - actually shouting) "DID YOU EAT ONE OF THOSE? THOSE NEED TO BE ORDERED AND PAID FOR! YOU CAN'T JUST TAKE, THEY MUST BE ORDERED!". I interjected that we were shown the snack station by staff at check in and told to help ourselves before leaving. She demanded our room number, checked a list, slammed a drawer, shouted "FINE!" and went back to checking in the bewildered customers who were at the desk. No explanation, no apologies. Just left us to walk out awkwardly and feeling bad about the whole ordeal. I guess public humiliation at 2AM over a sandwich doesn't sit well with me. I'd give it a miss, purely based on the poor treatment we received in the last five minutes of our stay.

Excellent stay especially for a morning flight from the airport. Very comfortable bed, spacious room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast, professional and friendly service, easy transfer to and from the airport. Highly appreciated and recommended to anyone for proximity to airport, professionalism and friendliness.

Great location close to the airport.

great location if you’re headed *to* the airport (not from - it’s only accessible going north so it takes about 15 extra minutes if you’re going from the airport to the hotel). it’s very clean and the staff are friendly and fluent in multiple languages. the rooms are grey with fluorescent lighting, not unlike a prison cell, and your room will have a view of the multi-lane highway just metres from the door. but if you have an early flight and just need to rest for a few hours, it’s a good deal for a clean comfy bed with nothing fancy. the shuttle gets you to the airport in about 5 minutes, which is its selling point. otherwise be prepared to eat from vending machines or walk next to the highway to the gas station next door. there is literally nothing else around.

The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly. It is perfect for a stay before/after a flight from/to Otopeni airport. However, the transportation in the area is pretty limited and the dining options are limited too.

Great place to stay. Close proximity to Airport. Less than 20 mins to Therme Spa and around 35mins to Old Town. Hotel cleanliness 5*. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff pleasant and happy to help. Only down side is on highway, so high speed traffic zooming past. Not much around other than 2 petrol stations a few minutes away. Rooms would benefit from a kettle and full length mirror. Would recommend for a short budget friendly stay.

Great location if you need a stop over, yhey can provide pick-up from airport with 24 hours notice, same eith return. It was perfect for me as i went to the Therme Spa which is about 7 mins away by Bolt. Restaurant breakfast were slso good.

It’s much better than the IBIS Bucharest City Centre Hotel where we’ve lived there for 3 nights in all aspects.It’s a 15 minute walk from the airport terminal so it’s perfect for passengers to lodge in one day before early morning departure.But if you come for a few days sightseeing,it’s not convenient to or back from the Old Town.

Very well organised, perfect for overnight layovers. Highly professional staff. Practical restaurant, by which I mean it's good but not gourmet.

We needed a place to stay for one night, before driving north for a couple of days. The Ibis Styles hotel was convenient to the airport and the price was reasonable. The room, however, needed some serious help (when compared to Western standards). The A/C was woefully underpowered, but did work, which was actually a plus. No coffeemaker (or kettle) in the room. There is an automated machine in the lobby. The hand-held shower head bracket was not secure…so the shower head would spin and send water all over the place, which didn’t really matter, as the drain didn’t work, so water just overfilled the shower floor anyway. The bathroom door didn’t latch close unless you forced it. The TV did work, but there was no sound, and I couldn’t figure out how to fix it. The WiFi was acceptable at 40GB/s. Now, the upside….we had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Our waiter (Titi) did a great job in answering our questions, teaching us how to order another class of wine, and making sure our dinner was enjoyable. Excellent Job Titi! Breakfast was a serviceable buffet, with eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, potato rosti, etc., you won’t go hungry. We have stayed in far worse places around the world, but I can’t recommend this hotel….except for dinner.

Hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful dinner was tasty and well prepared, the airport shuttle ran regularly although need to bear in mind the location is just off a busy and fast moving highway (nothing to do with the Ibis itself) My only small negative is that the hot breakfast was lukewarm - scrambled egg, sausages, mushrooms, hash browns etc

The breakfast menu was really good, lots of choices, and dinner restaurant, we ordered baby back ribs was really good.. pick up service was good also.
