A séjourné 4 nuits

I've stayed at the Ozone before and it's in a quiet location with ample parking, situated only a km from the park entrance which is why i choose it. There are lots of restaurants nearby including a Laos food venue. The staff are friendly and helpful although those on reception when I checked in spoke no English. However, Google Translate is brilliant so language isn't really a problem any more. It's somewhere around a 3 star hotel...because the thing that lets it down, at least for me, is the breakfast. Most days I chose to take a breakfast box into the park because the restaurant doesn't open until 7am which is no good if you're a wildlife photographer like me who has an early start each day. On the day i left I had a 'normal' breakfast which wasnt worth the trouble. An omelette and toast and marmalade plus insipid tea. The sausage snd ham are 'plastic' as they are in most of Thailand. The staff just sat behind the counter watching television or listening to a radio. No customer service at all. So in summary. It's a nice place to sleep and to be close to the park, the reception staff are great....but the restaurant and staff let them down badly. I ate out so it wasn't a problem. It's not uncommon in Thailand either...western food is misunderstood and is generally ignored by many 2-3 star hotels. I'd stay again, despite the breakfast...
