Beautiful and expansive property. I loved how large the pool was and you didn’t feel crowded at all. However, the restaurant options were disappointing. Some didn’t remain open as advertised, were not open at all, had a different menu posted from what was in the app, or said you had to wait for unknown reasons. There also needs to be all day options because there were few things open between lunch and dinner after the 4:30 places closed.

Ocean Eden Bay was a beautiful resort. The pool area was my favorite area. The view from my room to the pool and down to the ocean was stunning. The staff was great as well. Very welcoming and helpful. The only thing I didn’t like was there were so many extra costs for things like resort activities. Bowling and virtual reality both cost extra money since it was on an all inclusive property I didn’t understand that. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

The resort is beautiful. The food was really good. We loved the coffee shop! Such a treat. The entertainment staff never stops! They're amazing. Most of the staff was great. Don't get hurt out there though! You will be charged to see the nurse and she has an awful attitude. I was so shocked with her lack of care. FYI You can't really go to the beach here. It is full of rocks. That was dissapointing.

Pros: Our ocean front room was very nice! The hotel grounds were pleasing to the eye and all the restaurants had delicious food. The bowling alley and theatre made the vacay even more enjoyable. Cons: The gym doesn't not meet the standard of the rest of the hotel. The A/C was broke the entire week we were there and the equipment was insufficient. The beach was lovely, but, the ocean floor was completely covered with rocks...some sharp. made swimming unpleasant.

The resort was amazing!!! Good food and drinks. Amazing staff with good activities to do. I learned a line dance at the pool. I learned some of their language and commonly spoken words. I felt safe and at home there. It was such a beautiful resort that’s literally on the beach. The best sunrise and sunset. Makes you appreciate life more. Everyone was also interested in my well being and I really appreciated that.

The resort was beautiful! The layout was fairly easy to navigate. There were lots of restaurant options with a variety of different food, nightly entertainment, and other things to do. We did not have to leave the resort, which was great. The pool area on the adult side was lots of fun. The beach is right behind the property, it’s well maintained but there’s a lot of rocks in the shallow area of the water which made it difficult to get into the water. We had to walk to the other side. Overall we had a great time!

When we got to the resort it took them 2 hours to get us a room. We had to ask for blankets 5 times, 3 of them in person at the front desk before we got a blanket, It took a day and a half. Then our room flooded from the bathroom light fixtures. They did give us news rooms. The only reason the resort doesn’t get a lower score was because the bar tenders and waiters at all the many restaurants were amazing and caring.

The women staff aren’t really friendly. Our room had roaches in the bathroom, not sure where they were coming from. My mothers room; the refused to fix the jacuzzi which came with her room. Wouldn’t start again. The only fun you’ll have on the resort is the pool party which seem like it is once a week.

The staff is amazing. From beginning to end they were very helpful. The amenities within the property were great as well. The only area I saw that needed improvement was cleanliness of the room. The property itself and the beach was relaxing and definitely a great stay. Would definitely return.

Dear Expedia Support, I’m writing to express my disappointment with our recent resort stay in Jamaica booked through your platform. This was a birthday trip, and from the start, the experience was poor. Upon arrival, our room wasn’t ready. Beds are super comfortable. It is tucked away and not super loud, besides for things going on on the resort itself. The rooms are beautiful. The fridge is always stocked. Rooms were always clean. We had no issues with any of it.

We had a lot of fun. We stayed on the adult side. The pool was great. It did seem like more of a younger crowd there. Food wasn’t very good and lot of maintenance issues for a fairly new hotel. Ocean view is more of a pool view with a partial ocean view. Some of the staff was great, others seemed to do a lot of complaining in Jamaican under their breath. We had fun but probably wouldn’t return, lot of better options.

There was hair in my husband's food at the Italian restaurant, Laconcha (spelling of restaurant maybe incorrect) and they didnt do anything to console the situation. I Took a picture of it and 5 other guest with me saw him pull out the long hair and lent attached to it from his mouth. No follow thru from customer service. When they sent the email to me to review the property there was no link available. Also, our room door was opened when we returned from dinner with no follow up from their secuirty. Our Bed was ver uncomfortable it was hard as a rock. My adult grandsons had their own room and had no sheets are blankets for the pull-out couch. The bulter told him for 2 nights they were coming with the cover and it took two days for them to bring the cover for the bed. Imagine sleeping on a bed with no covers, he used the robes to keep warm. I was appalled at this. We Will never viist again.

We had an “ocean view” room. It wasn’t ocean view AT ALL. The room itself was nice 8/10. Always had hot water and yes the ac always worked. The food was meh. I had really high hopes for trying Jamaican food for the first time. It was definitely not what I expected. Over all the food 4/10. Drinks were terrible the only one who made really BOMB drinks was AMANDA WE LOVE YOU GIRL!!!! Other than that drinks 2/10. Now BEWARE if you’re a single lady or a group or 2 ladies the workers will try to get with you DAILY. One even followed us to our room. Luckily we never answered the door or phone calls!!! INSANE. Another thing is when we ordered room service 2 out of the 4 times the food never came, even though it said delivered .& on top of that some restaurants would randomly close so there was literally no food which was also very CRAZY. Honestly overall resort was 5/10. They can definitely do better.

The property was nice and beautiful. However, the AC was down for 2 days and no compensation was offered. Also we changed rooms to the other side and no in told us we would head back to our original room when the ac is fixed. The other room was locked when we arrived back and we had to go back to our original room. We were also told the bellhop would come to help us back ti the other room and they never came and we waited 30 mins. Also the food options were not the best. I did not like having only one place for breakfast. Also the spa should not be added in the amenities for an all inclusive resort if you have to pay additional for it. We ordered room service and never received it after waiting an hour. The towel service people were also usually rude and made us feel stupid for asking questions.

Overall, the resort was great — the room, food, entertainment, location and customer service were all excellent. The only negatives were that the hot tub wasn’t working. It was ice cold, and there wasn’t a sign posted to let guests know it was out of order. Another downside was the check-in process, which took over an hour. The process could definitely be faster and smoother. The last negative was the aggressive push to sell timeshares. Hotels should be upfront about their intentions because offering a free breakfast and a gift bag should not be used as a way to pressure or mislead guests into purchasing a timeshare. Transparency would greatly improve the guest experience. But i would definitely return to this resort.

Staff needs to be much more friendly, especially the bar tenders,i was made to feel they wished i was not there.i got locked out of my room as did two more in my party one of my people got locked in the bathroom,and several of the safes locked my people out with their belongings inside.

Paid for privilege services but did not receive them. There was no top shelf liquor, our butler never responded to us, twice we ordered room service and it never showed up. The car to drive you around the property rarely shows up. Save your money and buy a regular room. “Privilege” was a scam

As beautiful as this resort looks, I would never return. The food was good and there were plenty of restaurant options, but the service and overall experience were extremely disappointing. My husband and I stayed on the adult side for our 10-year anniversary. At check-in, we were asked if we were celebrating anything and we mentioned our anniversary. They asked if we’d like a banner or something special, and we agreed—yet nothing was done. On our actual anniversary, we wanted a tour of the resort and were assigned a concierge, Kemoy, who was unprofessional. Instead of showing us the property, he brought us to an office where staff pushed an expensive “Privilege” upgrade and pressured us to commit to a $3k timeshare that same day. They wasted hours of our time, downplayed our room, and became rude when we declined. The following day at the beach, there were no towels anywhere. We came out of the water freezing, saw dirty towels scattered around, and no one would provide clean ones. We walked to the lobby dripping wet and waited nearly 20 minutes for a manager. He apologized for the lack of anniversary acknowledgment and sent champagne, fruit, and a banner—on the last night of our trip. We didn’t touch any of it. The staff was consistently unprofessional, unhelpful, and dismissive. Because of that, I will NEVER return. If you want great food and a much better experience, I recommend Dream Rose Montego Bay or the Grand Palladium. I wouldn’t stay at this resort ever again.

When we got to the resort it took them 2 hours to get us a room. We had to ask for blankets 5 times, 3 of them in person at the front desk before we got a blanket, It took a day and a half. Then our room flooded from the bathroom light fixtures. They did give us news rooms. The only reason the resort doesn’t get a lower score was because the bar tenders and waiters at all the many restaurants were amazing and caring.

Resort had great amenities all around with things to do . Only thing was the service from some staff around the resort could have been better especially as a privilege customer . Also they need to have a booth or location where you could exhange US money to smaller bills to tip staff . If you can’t change money you can’t have guest tip your staff which sucks . Other than that resort was great and lots of fun .

When I booked Expedia advised I'd have resort credits, I did not! I upgraded at the resort to Privilege but the Privilege room was not available, the premium beverage mini bar was not premium and premium beverages were not available at the bars they said they were, my mini bar was not stocked the 2nd day, it took 3 days to fix the refrigerator because whenever I opened it everything fell out, clothes steamer did not work and it took 2 days to replace it. I purchased a bottle of wine, brought it back to my room but when they came to fix they pushed the cork all the way in so now I need a corkscrew, can't leave the corkscrew in the room so they totally remove the cork, when I return to my room the $50 wine is flat and they oh we're sorry. The hotel was not accommodating at all, after "several" conversations with supervisors and eventually the manager Emanuel my $240 for privilege upgrade was refunded. My transportation was also screwed up, when I booked roundtrip advising my departing flight was at 2:45p but pick up indicated 2:30p they assured me it would be corrected at the resort, but the rep they advised to speak with told me I had to call the transportation company directly which took 2 days before I could confirm because just like I couldn't check in on line for my flight because the Expedia rep who processed my info did not space/hyphenate my last name everything had to be done in person with proof of identity. Also, PHL wheelchair service not available when departing!

Disappointing Birthday Stay at Ocean Eden Bay – Not Recommended” ⭐⭐ I recently stayed solo at Ocean Eden Bay in Montego Bay for my birthday and, unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The resort is dated, underwhelming, and smelled of mildew and urine. I had a swim-up room with a king bed, but the accommodations alone could not make up for the lackluster service and unfriendly staff. The all-inclusive experience fell short. There are only a few restaurants onsite, and making reservations was nearly impossible. Guest services refused to take reservations over the phone, even during a storm, insisting guests walk to the lobby in person. During a visit to the souvenir store, I witnessed two cashiers screaming at a guest over an exchange—completely unprofessional and rude. This attitude seemed to be the standard throughout the resort. My attempt to book a spa day was met with the same dismissive and unhelpful service, so I opted out entirely. There were, however, a few standout staff members. Shantel and Latoya in the coffee shop were consistently pleasant, welcoming, and helpful. Two women at Martha’s Market also provided exceptional service—so good that I made sure to thank them personally. Their professionalism was unfortunately the exception, not the rule. Overall, the hostesses in the restaurants were rude, condescending, and off-putting, which made dining frustrating. One night I opted for room service just to avoid dealing with them.

I enjoyed my stay at Ocean Eden, however there are some areas that could use improvement. Primarily the check in process and limited food options between 3pm and 6:30pm. When I arrived after a long day of traveling, I had to stand in line for over an hour just to check in, which is not ideal when your tired. Each guest check in was taking 30 plus minutes when they did finally make it to the desk. After the travel and long wait we were also hungry but surprised to learn they have limited food options available between 3 and 6:30p. The few restaurants that were open were out of food. They do have room service but we did not learn that until the next day. Despite this the rest of our stay was good. The pool and bars are great. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Once you learn the food schedule there is plenty available if you plan ahead. The hotel has plenty of space and does not feel overcrowded like some resorts do. There is not much in the area, but plenty of excursion reps to help plan activities. Be cautious if booking with Simpsons Watersports. Despite having a desk on the property they failed to provide their service properly and refused to refund. The hotel manager was very helpful with advocating for this, however the company did not cooperate. Overall good stay...I go again and hope for better check in process.

Away from everything, each taxi ride to leave the hotel was about $150 to get there and back and have them wait for you. The food was good however there was a lot of American food and not Jamaica food. Also food couldn’t digest in my body. Couldn’t even poop.

On arrival was greeted with a refreshing cocktail and staff pulled our luggage inside so we can check in. We first went to the desk then after waiting in line was told to go to the Expedia desk. Which should have been told to us when we got inside. Check in at the expedia desk was fast after filling out some information form however our room was not ready and we arrived after 3pm the check in time. After 30 mins we were told our room was ready and was brought to our room by staff. When we got there the beds were unmade and the room wasn’t right. Which meant we had to go back to the front to correct this. Staff apologized but after a day of travelling you just want to get to your room. After an hour later we finally got a room which was on the first floor and not the view we paid extra for, but we were just tired at that point. The staff gave us a bottle of wine to accommodate. The food here was not the best breakfast had some limited options. The restaurants took forever and the food was okay. The Dj at the club was good but not a lot of people attended. Bowling was fun. But who goes to Jamaica to bowl. The entertainment was horrible. The resort was nice and clean but way too far from everything. Just to get to excursion took an hour with the traffic. I will not be back and not recommend.

I had an amazing experience at Ocean Eden Bay. Sometimes getting on and off the property was a bit hard for my driver, as they do ask a lot of questions to ensure who you are, but overall, it was a great stay. The food was amazing, the entertainment was amazing, and it was beautiful. They just need to work on a better system to track drivers coming to pick up and drop off guests.

Property was great only issue i had when i booked an excursion nit thru hotel they wouldn't allow driver in to pick us up making us walk that quarter mile in. Golf cart ride to febce was a definite no to us as well. They wanted a application of information of driver info as if I lived with him or something to know so much

Lots of options for food and drinks are strong! Clean facilities and friendly staff. Room was as expected with a great view. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Only bad thing about this property is it’s not close to other popular places and will take some time to get to Montego Bay or Ocho Rios. Other than that if you plan on staying at the resort it’s great with a beautiful beach area as well.

Loved our stay! The property was beautiful and clean. Great choices of restaurants. The staff was always great. Rocks in the ocean but still beautiful. Big pool. Entertainment was varied. I recommend this property, it was also relaxing and not crowded.

The hotel was beautiful but the rooms can be far and there is alot of walking to get to the amenities. The gym was good but there was no AC. The rooms were beautiful and very clean.

The rooms dated. Specialty restaurants were not available as advertised, mini bar only consisted of 2 beers, soda and water daily, no liquor. We received only 1 half pint of rum in the room upon arrival. Had to pay for beer if you wanted something other than Red Stripe, and the prices and sizes varied by restaurant or bar. Limited local cuisine at buffet. Food was not hot. The sports bar - bar closed at 11:00. The bar staff at the sports bar were very good - fun and attentive. The Route 66 "after hour" restaurant has a very limited menu of items with no alcohol beverages. Food was subpar. The highlight was the Marlin restaurant for lunch. However, they were closed for dinner 3 of the 4 nights we were. there. The main lobby bar and staff (Junior and Jason) were great. The Sugar Cane restaurant was a disappointment after several attempts to be seated. The hostess cutoff reservations early on multiple nights due to demand and staffing being unable to keep up. The food presentation was lacking. The oxtails were not that good. It was served with just rice & peas, no veggies or side dish. On the 3rd night the staff was made to wear what I would describe as plantain style (slave) attire. I was disgusted and very upset to see this. Management never contacted to discuss the complaint I filed at the front desk. Needs-additional staff, additional training, room modernization, umbrellas for pool, outdoor cabinet upgrade. Not enough space for full review.

Would recommend this property if you are looking for peace and tranquility. This is not a party resort. Clean entertainment. Staff was courteous. My oceanfront room exceeded my expectations. I would rate the food 7.8 out of 10. If you are looking for strong drinks, you have to ask the bartender to make your cocktail with top shelf liquor. Otherwise, you’ll be drinking pre-made house cocktails. Overall, I’m satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend this resort if you are looking for peace.

Pros: Our ocean front room was very nice! The hotel grounds were pleasing to the eye and all the restaurants had delicious food. The bowling alley and theatre made the vacay even more enjoyable. Cons: The gym doesn't not meet the standard of the rest of the hotel. The A/C was broke the entire week we were there and the equipment was insufficient. The beach was lovely, but, the ocean floor was completely covered with rocks...some sharp. made swimming unpleasant.

We had an “ocean view” room. It wasn’t ocean view AT ALL. The room itself was nice 8/10. Always had hot water and yes the ac always worked. The food was meh. I had really high hopes for trying Jamaican food for the first time. It was definitely not what I expected. Over all the food 4/10. Drinks were terrible the only one who made really BOMB drinks was AMANDA WE LOVE YOU GIRL!!!! Other than that drinks 2/10. We had an “ocean view” room. It wasn’t ocean view AT ALL. The room itself was nice 8/10. Always had hot water and yes the ac always worked. The food was meh. I had really high hopes for trying Jamaican food for the first time. It was definitely not what I expected. Over all the food 4/10. Drinks were terrible the only one who made really BOMB drinks was AMANDA WE LOVE YOU GIRL!!!! Other than that drinks 2/10. Disappointing Birthday Stay at Ocean Eden Bay – Not Recommended” ⭐⭐ I recently stayed solo at Ocean Eden Bay in Montego Bay for my birthday and, unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. My husband and I had a great time at Ocean Eden Bay! Staff were very friendly and welcoming! The room was clean and nice location- and there were many great dining options! We didn’t have not one bad meal here!! The oxtails at the buffet were my favorite! Looking forward to our next visit already! Lol

If you’ve never been to Jamaica before or if you have and never seen outside of the resorts this is a great spot especially to be away from kids. But be prepared, you don’t feel like you’re in Jamaica because it is very Americanized especially food wise. Only one Jamaican restaurant on the whole resort. Don’t get me wrong it’s an all inclusive so having everything conveniently available for you in one are is nice but to get the real Jamaican experience you gotta leave the resort. Also spend the extra money for the privilege rooms. Free room service and extra amenities and “top shelf” alcohol is worth it even if it cuts off at 11pm. Overall nice resort/(cruise ship on land). Get out and see the real Jamaica.

The resort is beautiful, our Junior Suite Pool View exceeded expectations, and the staff delivered the warm, authentic Jamaican hospitality we came for. Being serenaded by Michael during dinner created a memory we will cherish for years.
