Beautiful family run hotel overlooking Lake Como. Service was excellent, as was the breakfast service. The hotel is new and very modern. Everything is in excellent condition. It is an easy ten minute walk via old village walkways to Torno center. Easy parking under the hotel. The hotel is located across the road from the lake, but the sliding doors have extremely thick glass and noise isnt an issue. It is an easy drive into Como - about ten minutes, and a 45 minute drive to Belagio. A nice location.

Das Hotel Lago ist ein wirklich sehr hübsches kleines Boutique Hotel, an etwas erhöhter Lage, mit einem wunderbaren Blick auf den See. Was man wissen muss, ist, dass das Hotel direkt an der Strasse ist und es dementsprechend laut ist, wenn man auf der Terrasse sitzen möchte. Die Zimmer sind aber schön und edel eingerichtet. Auch das Essen ist sehr gut und das Personal sehr freundlich. Was uns geärgert hat, ist, dass wir zweimal darum gebeteb hatten, uns ein Taxi zu bestellen, und wir beide Male - ohne Vorankündigung mit dem hoteleigenen Auto gefahren wurden, und beide Male 60 Euro dafür bezahlt haben (zum Vergleich: beim Rückweg mit dem Taxi 30 Euro...). Auf unsere Rückfrage wurde uns erklärt dass es nicht möglich sei, ein Taxi auf eine bestimmte Zeit zu bestellen... Aber insgesamt war der Aufenthalt angenehm.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The view from our room, bed facing the lake, was spectacular. The hotel was clean, modern and had great parking. Sylvia was so kind and helpful in checking us in and bringing us to our room and also arranging a fabulous boat trip on the lake. We could not have found a better way to end our vacation.

I loved this hotel! A gem sitting right on Lake Como in the town on Torno. About a 15 minute drive from Como, and easy accessible via Ferry to other small towns on the Lake. The hotel itself is very modern, clean and great design. The staff is beyond helpful. There is a restaurant and bar open on site, which was also good! Highly recommend staying here!! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Silvio and entire staff were amazing. View is fantastic. Parking is great! Torno is a good home base and quieter than the other tourist towns. Hotel is impeccably clean. Breakfast wonderful though mostly continental. Rooms are modern and beautiful! Will be back.

a wonderful hotel run by a wonderful family and staff. Big modern rooms with a balcony facing the lake. Great Bar and restaurant with amazing views of the lake. Great location to visit the entire Lake Como area. We would love to come back again.

Hotel muy limpio, cama, almohadas y ropa de cama excelentes. Ducha de alta gama, parqueadero en la propiedad y opciones de salir a trono caminando a comer. Dormí muy bien, pero mi esposo si tuvo algo de inconveniente con el ruido de la vía del frente. Excelente equipo humano.

The hotel and the staff were very good. The room, rest of the hotel, breakfast and the parking area were very nice. We also loved the Torno/Como aera and the lake. The only think we were very disappointed about, was the dinner at the hotel. The food looked, felt and tasted as “premade”. We are sorry to say that the dinner qualified to one star, the rest to five stars.

Everyone at the hotel were incredibly friendly and super helpful. We had the lakeview suite and no regrets whatsoever. Wonderful breakfast especially the choice of quality fruit.

This was the nicest, cleanest and most luxurious hotel we’ve stayed in while traveling through Europe. It’s a boutique hotel so they get to know you personally. The staff is wonderful and helped us make our way around town. We met the owner and he was unbelievably kind and takes a lot of pride in the property. The rooms were so thoughtfully designed. The shower is huge like a 5-star hotel (not typical in Europe). The breakfast was wonderful and you can sit with a view of Lake Como. All the rooms have an amazing view of Lake Como also. We rented a car and the parking was super convenient. Just a short drive to center of Bellagio or Como. The town of Torno is cute and not as busy. We would absolutely stay here again!

Excellent hotel, this is a family hotel, brand new and very clean. The service was great and very special. I traveled with my husband, kids and mother to visit como, this is a perfect hotel for families, they also have complementary breakfast with delicious cappuccino, fruit and croissants. Como town and Bellagio are 20 min to the hotel. If we have to come back to Como Lake again, definitely we will stay in this place. Five stars.

Ricardo and Roberto were amazing hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Maria, the server and Nadia at the front desk were very accommodating. The hotel was clean, and our family felt very safe. Beds were great and views were amazing from our terraces! Highly recommend Hitel Lago!

This hotel is absolutely outstanding! The staff goes above and beyond to provide helpful recommendations on places to visit and how to get there. A special shoutout to Roberto, Ricardo, and Sofia for making our stay truly unforgettable. The on-site restaurant serves delicious meals throughout the day, with excellent service from breakfast to dinner and a fantastic selection of wines. Conveniently located right in front of the bus stop, it’s easy to reach Como, where you can catch a ferry to explore the lake. The views of the lake are breathtaking, with stunning sunrises and sunsets. The balcony is spacious, and the room itself is modern, roomy, and impeccably clean. Highly recommend!

This was such an awesome family run hotel. Beautiful view from a modern and super clean room. From Sofia at the from to Riccardo at the restaurant to the owner Roberto. Highly recommended. Just know the location is in torno which is super quiet and away from the crowds. This however means you either have to take the public bus (stop right across the hotel) or use the private transfer that they offer to get to the more crowded places like Bellagio. Highly recommended! Thank you for everything Hotel Lago Team!

What a beautiful and welcoming boutique Hotel overlooking Lake Como! The rooms are perfectly designed, offer spectacular views!! The bed, pillows, bedding and robes are wonderful. They did not miss a thing when designing this hotel- we will come back for sure! The owner and his staff were so welcoming- even helped arrange a private driver to/from Bellagio for dinner. He was an excellent and safe driver on some narrow and winding roads along the lakeside. Truly cannot say enough good things about Hotel Lago~ Bravo!!

Modern, clean, with great and very accommodating staff. Comfortable king size bed, strong air conditioner that doesn’t turn off when you leave the room so the temperature in the room is always comfortable (very important when you get back from the outside on a hot day), and the bathroom has a large shower with strong water pressure (also important). We enjoyed out stay at this hotel very much.

Hotel Lago’s room was modern and spacious. Shower is excellent. The patio has magnificent views. Sylvia the manager was very helpful as it can be a little tricky finding transportation to Bellagio because of the narrow roads and limited taxi service. I would recommend hotel but be aware of the logistics of getting around without a car.

This was such an awesome family run hotel. Beautiful view from a modern and super clean room. From Sofia at the from to Riccardo at the restaurant to the owner Roberto. Highly recommended. Just know the location is in torno which is super quiet and away from the crowds. This however means you either have to take the public bus (stop right across the hotel) or use the private transfer that they offer to get to the more crowded places like Bellagio. Highly recommended! Thank you for everything Hotel Lago Team!

This hotel is a very quiet beautiful hotel. Family ran which I love! Roberto was so accommodating. He picked me up from the airport in Milan and during my stay drove me to Como and picked me up. The rest of the staff helped guide me to the walking path so I could easily get to different restaurants in Torno. The beds were super comfortable… breakfast was fantastic and the dinner was so tasty. They do not have a pool which I would have enjoyed but that’s ok. This hotel had everything we needed and more!

Das Hotel Lago ist ein wirklich sehr hübsches kleines Boutique Hotel, an etwas erhöhter Lage, mit einem wunderbaren Blick auf den See. Was man wissen muss, ist, dass das Hotel direkt an der Strasse ist und es dementsprechend laut ist, wenn man auf der Terrasse sitzen möchte. Die Zimmer sind aber schön und edel eingerichtet. Auch das Essen ist sehr gut und das Personal sehr freundlich. Was uns geärgert hat, ist, dass wir zweimal darum gebeteb hatten, uns ein Taxi zu bestellen, und wir beide Male - ohne Vorankündigung mit dem hoteleigenen Auto gefahren wurden, und beide Male 60 Euro dafür bezahlt haben (zum Vergleich: beim Rückweg mit dem Taxi 30 Euro...). Auf unsere Rückfrage wurde uns erklärt dass es nicht möglich sei, ein Taxi auf eine bestimmte Zeit zu bestellen... Aber insgesamt war der Aufenthalt angenehm.

Ricardo and Roberto were amazing hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Maria, the server and Nadia at the front desk were very accommodating. The hotel was clean, and our family felt very safe. Beds were great and views were amazing from our terraces! Highly recommend Hitel Lago!

I loved this hotel! A gem sitting right on Lake Como in the town on Torno. About a 15 minute drive from Como, and easy accessible via Ferry to other small towns on the Lake. The hotel itself is very modern, clean and great design. The staff is beyond helpful. There is a restaurant and bar open on site, which was also good! Highly recommend staying here!! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Unfriendly staff. The website makes you think it’s on the water and it’s a 15-20 minutes walk into town, access to the water uphill coming back. Asked for a refund and that we wouldn’t stay there. They refused. Stayed one night because we could not find another hotel and then refused to refund for 2nd night that we did not stay

Silvio and entire staff were amazing. View is fantastic. Parking is great! Torno is a good home base and quieter than the other tourist towns. Hotel is impeccably clean. Breakfast wonderful though mostly continental. Rooms are modern and beautiful! Will be back.

We had the most disturbing experience with this hotel, with the owner precisely, for writing our truthful review on Google Maps. In our first morning, we got out of the shower, fully naked and the housekeeping barged into our room using a master key, leaving us feeling violated. We reported the incident to the front desk, but there was no follow-up or investigation. They said they were sorry but nothing could be done, which left us frustrated and upset. Upon checkout, the hotel didn’t assist with calling a taxi, and we had to use their shuttle service, which cost double what a metered taxi would have. The owner himself drove us to the train station and berated us the entire way, shouting about our review and threatening to blacklist us from hotels in Italy. He displayed blatant racism, saying, “this is Italy and not China,” despite knowing our nationality from our passports. His aggressive demeanor made us feel unsafe in the car. After we arrived, we took a photo of his license plate to report the incident to Expedia. He then confronted us, coming 1-inch close to my wife's face, demanding we delete the photo of his car plate and threatening to call the police. We felt increasingly unsafe and WE wanted to call the police. When we tried to call, he drove off. This was a traumatic experience, especially considering we entrusted the hotel with our personal information and expected to be treated with dignity and respect. Instead, we faced hostility and threats.

Beautiful family run hotel overlooking Lake Como. Service was excellent, as was the breakfast service. The hotel is new and very modern. Everything is in excellent condition. It is an easy ten minute walk via old village walkways to Torno center. Easy parking under the hotel. The hotel is located across the road from the lake, but the sliding doors have extremely thick glass and noise isnt an issue. It is an easy drive into Como - about ten minutes, and a 45 minute drive to Belagio. A nice location.

Hotel Lago and everybody that works there are amazing. The lake view is totally worth it, the breakfast was amazing and the parking was easy to navigate. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. I would 100% stay here again in the future and wish our stay was longer!

Hotel Lago’s room was modern and spacious. Shower is excellent. The patio has magnificent views. Sylvia the manager was very helpful as it can be a little tricky finding transportation to Bellagio because of the narrow roads and limited taxi service. I would recommend hotel but be aware of the logistics of getting around without a car.

Everyone at the hotel were incredibly friendly and super helpful. We had the lakeview suite and no regrets whatsoever. Wonderful breakfast especially the choice of quality fruit.

The hotel and the staff were very good. The room, rest of the hotel, breakfast and the parking area were very nice. We also loved the Torno/Como aera and the lake. The only think we were very disappointed about, was the dinner at the hotel. The food looked, felt and tasted as “premade”. We are sorry to say that the dinner qualified to one star, the rest to five stars.

The front desk staff Nadia was excellent. View was great. Breakfast fresh and friendly service too. Rooms were big. Location is a bit outside major areas so taxiing around can get quite expensive but great value.
The front desk staff Nadia was excellent. View was great. Breakfast fresh and friendly service too. Rooms were big. Location is a bit outside major areas so taxiing around can get quite expensive but great value.

Very modern and clean property. Gorgeous lake view from the room. Very spacious and comfortable. Good parking with no stairs which makes it easy with luggage. About 38 min. drive to Bellagio (the road is all curves). Very friendly staff. Beautiful restaurant and great service. Our server Asia was great! Highly recommend.

Very nice, small family owned & run hotel. Rooms are all suites. Very friendly staff. Breakfast buffet with lots of variety and high quality. Dinner available, simple menu but very good. Nice lounge area with a simple bar. Spectacular view from our room, that has a large balcony to enjoy the view. On site parking easily accessible. There is another hotel accross the road that has a great reastaurant & bar. The staff even recommended it! Would defiantly book again!

Despite arriving in May, the room was colder than the outside temperature. Since the air conditioning is a central system, they couldn't help us, but perhaps they could take some measures to improve the situation, such as adding heaters or other features.
