TRU by Hilton Perrysburg Toledo, OH

It was not a bad place to stay. safe and there is a continental breakfast & a small mini fridge which came in handy. Room has ample soap lotion shampoo and conditioner. There was some highway sounds nothing that would keep you from sleeping I did hear people street racing or reving engines at times but that’s on regular streets as well. It would have been nice if there was a coin op laundry on site the place next door let me use their laundry room which was really nice and came in handy. Staff was nice. I did hear a guy say his dispenser for shampoo was empty so check that upon check in if you need that. Try to get breakfast asap because the longer you wait the less there will be I slept in and there was only one banana left I mostly took my breakfast to go. The coffee is not strong so bring your own or be prepared to go to a Tim Horton coffee. There is lots of nearby markets if you have a rental car that was a great resource. There is also a gas station with a subway across the street. The fitness center is good there is two treadmills and a stepper & a cycle bike and free weights and a trax station. They provided room service every other day but all they did is make bed and replenish towels. I asked the housekeeper to use a hair catcher on the floors since my hair sheds like crazy she was nice and let me use it. I did notice that they didn’t empty my trash not sure if this is because it wasn’t over filled or the housekeeper just felt I could do it myself. Thumbs up mostly

Great breakfast including Lavazza coffee! Appreciated a water bottle refilling station near the workout room. Comfortable overnight rooms. Really appreciated the hooks to hang up coats and the open shelving to makes sure we didn't leave anything when we left. Loved that there wasn't carpeting! There was a dirty towel left in our room hanging behind the bathroom door and the shampoo was empty in the shower. We were able to go to the front desk and they brought us more. Overall, it was a comfortable stay.

Easy acces, clean room, and the pool table is a favorite

Great hotel for the price point. Basic amenities in the room but if that's all you need then this place is perfect. Very nice lobby. Pool Table!! Breakfast was good. Definitely will stay again.

My stay was good. I hate there is no pool or laundry services although I was able to go next door to use theirs. Quiet time is at 10pm which is early for a Friday night. My stay overall was nice. The person was really nice at check in check out.

This appears to be a newer building.It is in a convenient access place to I -75. That said, there is a lot of highway noise. You might want a room in the back of the building instead. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. However the luxury vinyl tile floor with no rug was loud and cold and made the room echo. The walls are thin, too. I could hear the next door talking. I sneezed once and it sounded like it reverberated through the whole building. Bathroom was fine very nice, but the vent fan was not working, so the area was very steamed up after a ten-minute shower and condensation ran diwn the mirror. There was no coffee pot or microwave in the room, but there was a small fridge on the floor. I liked that it had a padded bench to sit on to put on your shoes. The desk is compact, with an office chair. I think this room and hotel might be geared towards younger workers and is fine for a commuter stay, but not a lengthy stay. There is no other place to sit inside the room, like a comfortable chair to sit and read, just the office chair, so that was a minus for me. I did not see the swimming pool to review that part. The breakfast was nice, with varied choices, I especially loved watching that popcake pancake machine make pancakes, and they were very tasty! There was a small kiosk there where you could purchase snacks and drinks during other hours. The staff was very nice and courteous. Oh, and the lounge area actually had a pool table which people were enjoying.

Good for a place to crash while on the road. Very close to the highway so you can hear some traffic. Was clean and comfortable. Staff were not the friendliest but it didn’t impact our stay. Was happy they had a filtered water bottle refill station and 24/7 tea and coffee.

Hotel is a bit neglected, front doors were dirty and decals were ratty looking. The lobby was nice, had a pool table and lots of seating for gathering. Our room was ok, but needed touching up. Walls had marks on them, bathroom had some areas of peeling paint. We walked into the room and it was freezing. The thermostat had a note taped on it saying the first digit, which was unreadable was supposed to be a ‘7’ but it was way colder than 72. We had already settled in, set the thermometer to what we thought was 78, and left for dinner. When we returned it hadn’t changed so we just shut it off and went to bed.

Staff was very friendly and helpful and accommodating. Water bottle refill station in the lobby! Cute sling chairs in the lobby. Complimentary breakfast was pretty good. Room felt updated and clean.

We had a terrible stay here. 3 years ago, it was a beautiful hotel now it is a dump. I got bitten by bed bugs so bad. The room stunk so bad of cleaner spray we almost got knocked out walking in trying to cover an odor. the floors where sticky shower was filthy. Horrible experience. My bites are so bad i had to get a steroid cream to help.

Even though the hotel is rather newer however it’s already starting to go downhill, room smells musky, towels worn out and smelled like dog pee, pillows worn out shower had mold

No one came to give us new towels or toilet paper even with a 4 day stay so our room trash was overflowing and no support

very nice hotel, but you can see signs of not cleaning properly in the bathroom in the corners there's dirt building up. If they can fix that, it's a very nice hotel but it could deteriorate fast if people don't know how to clean properly.

Bathroom floor had not been cleaned in ages. Nail clippings on floor. Landed up wiping it down myself using a towel and some cleaning from housekeeping cart. Won’t stay at a Tru property again. Way too expensive even if it was clean.

Spotless room, great customer service and location

The front desk service was fantatsic. Pur room had long dark hair on the floor, on the batnroom shelf and the floors had obviously not been vacuum or washed. Bit of things around. Went to go to bed and there wete dirty spots on the comforter - looked like a shoe print with multiple dirt marks. The front desk assistance was very understanding and also felt the condition of the room was terrible. We were offered another room but I had already cleaned the floors and batnroom of our room. We were brought clean comforters. Service was wonderful but housekeeping is terrible.

Stayed one overnight as part of a road trip. It was very convenient to the highway and food and shopping were close. The hotel was exceptionally clean. The room had an efficient layout although there was no dresser.

Not the same quality of other Hilton properties we’ve stayed at. Though room was clean on arrival, the floor was not, if barefoot feet were black from walking on them. Room to have been cleaned twice while there, only done once after mentioning at front desk.

This was the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed. From the lobby being mopped to keep the snow and salt removed to the spotless room.

The hotel was clean and quiet. TV only showed a few channels. Was disappointed that I couldn’t watch football or get the local channels Was told this has been an issue for several days

No coffee pot in the room!

Front desk phone was off the hook. Our toilet clogged and so we had to go to the front desk and told there was nothing they couod do abput it until the morning. Our WIFI didn't work,and found out in the morning when we checked out that there we were marked as a no-show. On top of that I got a message thrpugh expedia 3 hours after we left that my credit card did not go theough (new number fro the one I originally reserved with). I called back when I atrived home that evening to give them the correct number and they said they couldn't find my reservation. The room was clean, but verey tight and the water innthe shower was warm at best.

Comfortable double queen room; I noticed there were a variety of pillows (squishy, firm, soft, etc.) which made me happy. Beautiful shower! Helpful staff. Very restful stay. Will look for TRU in the future.

We stayed a whole week and they never once cleaned our room. We had to inquire about fresh towels and toilet paper refill. Room was small, no coffee maker, very noisy when persons were above us in third floor room. The shower had missing and moldy caulking. 10 out of 10 wouldn't recommend

Internet super slow, pathetic actually

Very nice staff. Easy on/easy off highway access. Shopping nearby. Great outdoor mall(Levi's Commons) not too far away too. Nice area. Negatives- small rooms, mine did not have a chair for seating and rooms all seem to have a parking lot view. No big complaints. Overall good stay

Good hotel, but you can hear every sound coming from the rooms next door and they can hear you!

The front desk check in lady was patient and resolved my problems which I messed up on she helped me by clarifying and explaining patiently and being empathetic of my mishaps. She exemplifies what customer service should be in general.

Noel at the desk was great! He laughed at my impressions and the entire staff made sure we had everything we needed. My stay was pleasant and the staff was SUPER accommodating. The manager Shannon is wonderful! If I stay in the area again, this hotel will be my first look.

My short stay was to sleep while driving on a two day road trip. The staff at check in/check out were all very polite and helpful.

This was the worst place I ever stayed and the service horrible

My Expedia reservation quoted me one price when I booked through the app, but when I looked at my credit card statement after checking out. the hotel charge me a different amount more of course. I called the hotel and they said they were going to give me a refund of the difference that they overcharged me. Almost a week after checking out still no refund. If they don’t take care of this in the next day or two, I’m going to dispute a fraud charge through my bank.

The staff here was wonderful and I really enjoyed my experience but the breakfast could have been a lot better. They had eggs and bagels and a pancake machine but I also wish they had hash browns. Breakfast is served from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The hotel itself is clean and well kept and the staff is friendly, professional and available. Rooms are in great shape and very modern with several luxuries. The only downside is there's no coffee machines in the hotel rooms only in the lobby areas. So if you're on the 4th floor, that's a long walk.

We stay here every year for two night when we go to Cedar Point. It’s a great hotel. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. There’s a mall and restaurant about 13 min drive and some restaurants 6 min drive. Recommend

The staff was friendly and helpful. This is the second Tru in which I've stayed and will return again.

This property was located very close to my son's apartment and college. It is also centrally located between Perrysburg and Toledo.

It was quite noisy but I realize it’s close to the highway. Once I fell asleep it didn’t wake me. And I’d rather you open more Tru hotels even near highways. We love to stay at Tru.

Central location

The rooms are modern, the staff were friendly, and its conveniently located off of I-75. There are plenty of dining iptions within minutes of the hotel. Will definitely book again.

Good hotel for the money. Breakfast was sufficient. The bad - bathroom door was tough to close, bedroom door was really loud opening/closing, we had some stink bugs.

We were only there overnight so didn’t see much. Breakfast was good. Check in was easy and efficient. Rooms were just right.

Great to have good coffee available 24/7

We’ve stayed at several Tru properties and have always enjoyed the cleanliness, convenience, and amenities they offer. It’s a basic hotel, without feeling cheap or simple. There isn’t a dresser so if you’re staying a while, it’s not an unpack everything place. But if you’re looking for somewhere for a night or two - this is a great option. Also, the breakfast is above and beyond!
