Parking was great, large lot behind donut shop, the office already closed. I called the phone number on the door and she was there within 15 minutes very very friendly.

Returned after last year and am planning to make it a yearly tradition! The hotel changed a bit though. Suites were built but the only access is through the front office. There is a key pad to enter a passcode to enter. While we were sitting outside, we noticed a female that forgot the code and she contacted her party to get in. I can understand a lost key that goes straight to your room or through a secure lobby. But allowing guests to enter through the main office with no staff there is scarey for the front office as well as the other guests. Plus the suites don't have a convenient exit in case of a fire or any other natural event/disaster.

Beds were nice. The property did not match what we had seen at booking. We thought it was supposed to have laundry facilities, two bathrooms and a pull out bed but those were not provided. Overall it was a nice place to stay and very comfortable.

This is NOT a hotel. It is a motel. The rooms are very dark. No ice machine. You had to get it from the front desk which is NOT open 24/7. No coffeemaker. It does have a microwave and mini-fridge. No closet. Don’t stay here on a Monday. The whole town is closed on Mondays. Only one restaurant was open and it was forgettable. I definitely would NOT stay here again.

Given ive from cubes made in ice trays. Very little ice available. Wanted a larger room none apparently available. Clerk rarely at site. Old car in our parking space & never moved. Very small room. Old key style; motel old & in need of renovation. No water offered & clerk told me I couldn’t use the pool as it as advertised. Learned this was wrong so I missed out on swimming! Pool was public type & open. Won’t stay there again! Not worth $$ charged.

While the hotel is very old school, they are gradually updating it. It’s nice having a fridge and microwave and a flatscreen tv. However, the window shade was a bit old, as is the bathroom, but it was a comfortable room with easy access to the parking.

The service at the hotel was amazing. Mike was quick to answer and very friendly. He was empathetic to my situation and was very reassuring that Hotel Marceline would accommodate my pets as they advertised. Everyone I dealt with at the hotel was friendly and helpful.

This property is clean, the beds are comfy, the staff was great. Did have a slippery bathtub but that would be an easy fix with a bath mat. I had to cancel my second night and it was no problem.

Good place to stay for the weekend as we had a family event in Marceline. We were happy we got the large Wilderness Room as a gathering place for everyone. The floor in the room could use a deep cleaning, as it was pretty dirty and blackened our socks. And the exterior needs some paint badly on the decks. But all in all, it was a great stay!

This is a very convenient location, for my purposes. It is very old school motel, but I don’t need more in Marceline. The room was clean and had a fridge/microwave. There’s no closet nor hangers. However, upon opening the door, it was humid inside and smelled of mildew. The room cooling was on the wrong setting, creating the dampness and smell. Once it was changed to “Dry” and a much cooler temp setting, all cleared up. Yes, I would stay here, again.

The deadbolts on the doors don’t work, so you only have a tiny handle lock, so I didn’t feel safe- easy for someone to get into the rooms. The room was sticky and humid, it had a clean look to it but didn’t feel clean.

Room and bathroom were clean. There were no plugs for the end tables next to the bed. I had to plug my cell phone in the outlet under the window and place my phone on the floor. Also, would be nice if there was a single serve coffee pot in the room. There wasn’t even coffee in the front office.

First of all, the word 'hotel' implies indoor hallways to all rooms. This property is a 'motel' with only outdoor access to rooms. However, it was still nice. The three issues I had, were the slick tub without a bath mat, no floor towel for stepping out of the tub, and thenearest oulet formy CPap machine was across the room from the bed!

The suite room was huge and like a small apartment. The only problem we had was waiting for an employee for checking, but that was only a few minutes wait. We enjoyed are time in Marceline.

Overall stay was great. Did have an issue with the wifi signal in our room they did put in a booster which fixed it but it too them 2 days to do that so we had to go down to the paring lot for 2 days to get a signal on our devices. Other than that the stay was great. Room were quiet and close to everything.

We were going to be late checking in. The lady i talked to was very friendly and did not have a problem with us arriving late. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. It was reminiscent of the first 'motels' back in the 30's, which was super fun and nostalgic. My husband said the train woke him up, but i slept very soundly.

there was no stay. we arrived at 1.00 pm and no one was on the property. we called for 4 hours and i finally went somewhere else in the storms. we finally got someone named mike and he said he dindnt know he was supposed to have the phone on call. they still charged me for 2 nights and we are fighting to get our money back. what hotel has no staff on site?

The first guy that checked us in was great…undertrained but super nice and accomadating. We decided to stay an extra night and booked on hotels.com again so when we went to re-check in the next day the guy at the front desk was HORRIBLE, mean, dirty AND while I was at the gas station went into our room without knocking. My husband was in the bathtub with the door shut and without knocking the man walked into the bathroom. This made my husband uneasy as he felt the man as hoping it was me in there. We spoke with hotels.com reps(who were WONDERFUL and patient) and because of the situations they so kindly moved us to another hotel and paid the difference!

Small hotel but well maintained with a comfortable bed. Quiet. Their standard rate appears to be considerably lower than what hot-ls.com charges, hint. Only down side is tgat office closes at 8pm

Wasn’t able to stay. The booking lists a 24 hour front desk. When we arrived shortly after 11PM the office was closed but had a sign for a 24h line, which we spent 30 mins calling with no answer. Having been on the road for the previous 20 hours, in the interest of safety drove to a nearby hotel and booked a room. They have still not released a refund for the stay and are avoidant of all communication. Simply unprofessional.

Good place to stay for the weekend as we had a family event in Marceline. We were happy we got the large Wilderness Room as a gathering place for everyone. The floor in the room could use a deep cleaning, as it was pretty dirty and blackened our socks. And the exterior needs some paint badly on the decks. But all in all, it was a great stay!

Stayed two nights for the wine stroll and art event. Dated, but clean and reasonable. Casey's across the street and great donut shop next door. Will stay there again.

This is a very convenient location, for my purposes. It is very old school motel, but I don’t need more in Marceline. The room was clean and had a fridge/microwave. There’s no closet nor hangers. However, upon opening the door, it was humid inside and smelled of mildew. The room cooling was on the wrong setting, creating the dampness and smell. Once it was changed to “Dry” and a much cooler temp setting, all cleared up. Yes, I would stay here, again.

Great location and good service. The room was spacious and happy that they had an in-room fridge and microwave as most things in Marceline were closed on Sunday. Wish the cleanliness of the bathroom was a bit better but otherwise would recommend!

The hotel reached out to me to ensure they were available during my arrival and the staffer was welcoming and chatty. The room was clean and cozy and the hotel is in a quiet place, but not isolated. I was quite cold in the room, and when I put the heat, it set off the alarm. It is a clean and conveniently-located place.

Room and bathroom were clean. There were no plugs for the end tables next to the bed. I had to plug my cell phone in the outlet under the window and place my phone on the floor. Also, would be nice if there was a single serve coffee pot in the room. There wasn’t even coffee in the front office.

This is NOT a hotel. It is a motel. The rooms are very dark. No ice machine. You had to get it from the front desk which is NOT open 24/7. No coffeemaker. It does have a microwave and mini-fridge. No closet. Don’t stay here on a Monday. The whole town is closed on Mondays. Only one restaurant was open and it was forgettable. I definitely would NOT stay here again.

When I checked in on Friday night, I ended up having to wait for 20 minutes for someone to come to the front desk after I called. The room was okay even though it was small. I was glad there was a fridge and microwave. The bathroom really needs an update since the turning valves for the shower are loose and there weren't much for towel racks for hanging up my towel. There were long dark hairs on the wall and tub that hadn't gotten cleaned up (I have short blonde hair.) The biggest complaint was the air conditioning since it really didn't cool the room down much or control the humidity. I hung my towel up in the morning, but it was still damp at night. I guess it would have been nice to have new towels then. I have stayed here multiple times over the years and this is the first time there were issues with the AC...granted it was plenty hot over Labor Day weekend, though.

Really did not get to stay here, the property took our reservation, but no one was there to give us a key. The 24 number had a mail box that was not set up and no one answered it! Be careful if you book this property that someone will be there to let you in!!

The room was clean, staff aren't there all the time but they are helpful and have a number to call in case a situation happens, parking is great, we stayed here on Labor Day weekend for the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Brookfield. Will keep this motel in mind for next year.
