Great hidden gem that takes you back in time. The rooms are beatigully decorated, the bathrooms are guge and the drinks were amazing. Coffee house down the street was ooen early for the die-hard coffee drinkers. Owners are very nice and welcoming!

I didn't know that the jazz band was playing right outside our room door. Also people were there partying until 10:30 and then the staff was cleaning up for about an hour after and being very loud. I did like how unique the hotel was. It definitely took you back to the era of speakeasies. I would suggest renting a room upstairs away from the noise.

Great little b&b. We came down for a play at APT, and this was a great place to spend the night. Very nice room, great breakfast, and the outdoor area is super cute! Highly recommend.

Our room was fantastic...full of the neatest antiques and history. It was also very clean, the bed was comfy, and the tub was great. We loved the speakeasy, it was so convenient to have a cocktail right there. Breakfast was delicious, too. Plenty of food and all of it great!

TV was on the side (not in front) of the bed. while watching we got a neck ache so had to lay sideways on bed to watch comfortably. carpeting was all stained and disgusting. did not expect the Ritz but not worth $300 a night.

We LOVED our stay here! Got checked in right away at 4. The decor and our room theme was fantastic. The speak easy has fun drinks and great food. Their patio even had heated igloos. And our breakfast was homemade and DELICIOUS. We will absolutely be coming back!

My stay at the Iron Amethyst was unlike any stay I have had at a B&B. I was shown my room by a host and did not see another person for the remainder of my stay. Breakfast was to be served at 9:00am the next morning. I informed the host that I was attending an in-service at 8:30 the next morning and asked if something could be made available to me earlier in the morning. The host would check. I received a text from the host, they regretted that I would miss the breakfast but suggested I use the Keurig in my room for coffee in the morning. I opted for the Kwik Trip down the road instead. It’s a lovely location but I was given no information about restaurants, shopping or entertainment in the area by the hosts and resorted to the internet for information.

We were traveling to see nearby Frank Lloyd Wright sites and located this bed and breakfast in the quaint small village of Mazomanie. (Lots of historic buildings AND great amenities like the 1855 Coffee Shop and The Old Feed Mill restaurant, within walking distance.) The surroundings were beautiful, inside and out, and the comfort and service were friendly and first-rate. Even though the building is historic, accommodations were up-to-date. We'll be recommending this to friends and family!

I think the only thing I might do, realizing it’s not a bed and breakfast, is leave more peanut butter packets and a couple of loaves of bread (options) for quick toast as you do have a toaster.

Breakfast was to be served at 9:00am the next morning. I informed the host that I was attending an in-service at 8:30 the next morning and asked if something could be made available to me earlier in the morning. The host would check. I received a text from the host, they regretted that I would miss the breakfast but suggested I use the Keurig in my room for coffee in the morning. I opted for the Kwik Trip down the road instead. It’s a lovely location but I was given no information about restaurants, shopping or entertainment in the area by the hosts and resorted to the internet for information.

My stay at the Iron Amethyst was unlike any stay I have had at a B&B. I was shown my room by a host and did not see another person for the remainder of my stay. Great hidden gem that takes you back in time. The rooms are beatigully decorated, the bathrooms are guge and the drinks were amazing. Coffee house down the street was ooen early for the die-hard coffee drinkers. Owners are very nice and welcoming!

Great little b&b. We came down for a play at APT, and this was a great place to spend the night. Very nice room, great breakfast, and the outdoor area is super cute! Highly recommend.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. Jennifer was wonderful and the breakfasts were fabulous. We only wish it was a little haunted.

Our room was fantastic...full of the neatest antiques and history. It was also very clean, the bed was comfy, and the tub was great. We loved the speakeasy, it was so convenient to have a cocktail right there. Breakfast was delicious, too. Plenty of food and all of it great!

We stayed there after an American Payers Theater performance. Had a great time at the Speakeasy chatting with the bartender and other guests - ask for an absinth cocktail. Our room had a small outdoor patio area which was great. Sat down by the river for a bit also.

The facility was clean and charming. You have to contact the owners during the day if anything is needed because there is no staff immediately available. The bar & kitchen open at 5 which is okay but the only food service available when we were there was flatbread and appetizers. A bery limited menu.

I loved the place and the town. The bed was very comfortable, and the tub was fun. What I liked the best was the house. There was so much to read and look at. I wish I had booked more nights. I will definitely stay again!

TV was on the side (not in front) of the bed. while watching we got a neck ache so had to lay sideways on bed to watch comfortably. carpeting was all stained and disgusting. did not expect the Ritz but not worth $300 a night.
