Maya New Guest House -Panoramic Sea&CityCentre View, Haifa

It’s obvious the owner took good care to create a nice place. The maintenance and cleaning staff didn’t do their job very well. The dust and dirt were an issue. The check in instructions showed a parking lot and if you’re communicating in English it appears to be part of the arrangements. When we went to leave, we were informed that there was a 50 shekel fee. Here was the host’s reaction verbatim, “ This is not our parking lot. Try please to understand the system, the price is relativly cheap in Haifa both accomodation and parking lot. Wish you a pleasant day mam🙏”

I went for a Baha'i pilgrimage and this place was prime location as well as affordable. Views off the Shrine of the Bab from the windows with city views. I was anxious about using Whats app and a room overseas and as soon as I landed and connected to wifi I already had texts reaching out and giving instructions for self check in. Other reviews state its in a bad neighborhood but I walked all over Haifa for two weeks almost. Even the "nice" areas, just walk three minutes in any direction and it'll be the same as anywhere else or where this guest house is. Prestein white walls and tiles and a walk in rain fall shower head were all great. If you want somewhere clean, close to everything, no frills, and affordable. Maya Guest House is your place.

Spacious, comfortable room with an exquisite view of the sea. Excellent location, an easy walk to local restaurants and market. Attentive and helpful staff available on WhatsApp.

Room was clean and well kept. Our host, Sam, was very kind and attentive. Bed was very comfortable. Room was equipped with fridge and microwave. We could see the ciast from our window. We would definitely stay again!
