Staff was polite, but looks like the property has been under renovation for quite some time. Hot tub wasn’t working, pool didn’t look clean, restaurant and bar not open and looks like months before it would be. Also blood on the sheet when pulled back the comforter. Bed was probably made up, but she’s not clean from the previous occupant.

Pool was cold and jacuzzi was not working. This was main reasons for selecting this hotel. Overall maintenance of the hotel was lacking. Aso the hotels restaurant was no longer open. None of which were noted when booking room.

Everything was great but the elevator on our end if the building was out of order . We wouldn't care much but we're older and had a 2nd floor room. Next time we'll ask for a 1st floor one. No worries. We enjoyed our stay otherwise 😁👍

The trash cans- by the pool, in public areas around the hotel, were all crawling with bugs, mostly fruit flies. No complaints about the room, the pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room were all in working condition with many people enjoying them.

The room was great and clean. I was excited for all the amenities but only able to use the steam room. The pool was freezing, the hot tub was empty, and the sauna never heated up.

Room was clean and everything was in place. However the hotel seems to be under renovation. This should have been advertised, so people would know that the restaurant, hot tub and other places are not currently operating.

Checked into our room and didn’t do a full inspection before we laid down in bed. As my wife rolled over, I noticed a blood stain on not just one, but two of the sheets on our bed. Immediately went down to the front desk and they moved us into a new room. Still extremely disappointed and disgusted by this whole experience despite getting a new room. It’s hard not to feel grody and question the dirtiness of everything when you encounter blood on your bed sheets.

Bathroom- death trap. Sink faucet sprayed everywhere. Toilet- moved and was not bolted to the floor. Shower- shower head trickled and the tub you were standing in didn’t drain. Bathroom by check in desk was filthy. Toilet paper dispenser was just hanging by one screw. Breakfast the following morning….. coffee was like mud and there were no lids to put on to carry back to the room so let’s burn the hand. Taste was terrible- very bitter. Landscaping and weeds everywhere. I paid 120.00 a night…. Really? It was not worth it. Take pride in your property people!

Used to come here a lot as a kid and it was really cool but now they're trying to lean into being a banquet and conference destination despite the only guests being the ones that live there. Used to have a playground and mini golf course with some interesting architecture but they've taken the playground out and put useless tables on the mini golf course. They're no longer up keeping or running the game room. They painted the Aztec inspired architecture a dull dark gray and called it renovation, along with replacing sconces with harsh led lights and no sconce shades, but otherwise no actual updates. Lots of trash and spills left by guests in common areas that were never cleaned up throughout the entirety of my stay. Our comforters had stains on them including what looked to be dried blood, there were stains on the lampshades and curtains, the tv in our room only got 4 channels - it didn't even get the guide channel or any regular tv watching channel. The toilet in our room was extremely difficult to flush. Bar, restaurant, hot tub, and game room were all closed. They had three Ecolab trucks there while I was checking out which is somewhat concerning. Overall seems to be an empty shell of what it once it once was, the tiny bit of money they're putting into it is going to the wrong things for sure.

We arrived to check in at 3 the staff were nice and we went to our room, dropped our things off, quickly got ready and left to explore the area. When we returned that eve around 8 and started doing things in the rooms we realized how filthy it was. There was left over food trash in drawers, tooth brushes/toiletries. The bathroom floor was sticky. Milk splatters around the fridge? So we packed up and asked for a refund. The front desk refused since we had been checked in for 5 hours. They never offered to clean the room or another room for us to use. Whatever I suppose I understand no refund, we should’ve check upon arrival the condition of the room but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

New flooring and bedding. Walls are thin, no sound proofing. You can hear everything. No real windows. Curtains are covering window to main hallway in hotel. As a result, constant light coming into the room as you try to sleep. Service was good, no problems there. Cheap price. Close to cute inland lakes.

We did a quick weekend getaway with our kids this past weekend. We had to arrive later and upon check in the 2 rooms we requested to be connected were almost on opposite sides of the hotel. Until I had them triple check, I will say however that the hotel was not full and there were plenty of rooms available so I'm not sure what the issues was. We unfortunately ended up with I side atrium rooms with no window other than a strange sliding glass door that looked at the wall across the way so there was no natural light. We made due since we were going to be out and about and the rooms were purely for a place to land. The beds were very uncomfortable unfortunately but it was clean. The breakfast left much to be desired with the brown and serve sausages and over hard eggs. There was a waffle station but the muffins etc looked to be just left every day and still there the next day. The pool is a decent size but it appears there was a heating issue because the hot tub is not open and the pool was COLD! the hotel is going through renovations so there was a lot not open. This isn't stated anywhere on any site so I'm leaving this here. There was only one ice machine that we could tell and the vending machines are hidden, thankfully we know to bring room snacks so we the vending machines are usually overpriced. It will be interesting to see what the place looks like after the renovations and we may come back after they are done.

We made the reservation 3 months in advance. Arrived and the room had no carpet..TV wouldn't hold a wifi signal..door that looked like it was kicked in and very shoddy replaced without a peep hole..asked for another room and were moved to another room which had no working TV or wifi...got a refund and left...

Blinds allow alot of light! You could hear alot of conversations thru the walls. The ac was awesome. Bed was very comfy! Bathroom could use update!

Customer service is horrible, they have cockroaches, the breakfast is absolutely disgusting, they don't clean the rooms what so ever, they will give your room number out to whoever says they know you so if you are in a dangerous situation like I was don't stay there they gave my room number to my ex and he came pounding on the door thank God I didn't answer because I probably wouldnt be writing this review, they tell you that they gave you a discount but they really didn't this place is absolutely horrible and I absolutely wouldn't recommend!!!!!!!!!!

The young man, Nico that checked us in was great!! He handled our requests and concerns smoothly and quickly and correctly!! I grew up in this town and know that the hotel has been there for many years. My wedding night was there The hotel was under a bit of rehab so the restaurant and the bar were not open. It was ok because there is an abundance of restaurants to choose from. I want to acknowledge Nico and his unending great customer service!!!!!

Booked a one night stay in a double queen, upon check in they told me they did not have the room I booked and offered a king with 2 cots for my children. The male at check in was very rude and not at all interested in being helpful. After 30 minutes of waiting for the room we were allowed in to a HORRIBLE sent in the room, sticky floors and surfaces. Again, the man at the front desk did not care to offer another room, or make matters right in any way. We stayed with friends in another room. Turns out, as told to me by 2 employees the cleaning staff does not use the correct items to clean but ONLY use Fabulso (not an actual cleaning product) to make it 'smell' as if it was cleaned. The entire place is absolute filth. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Staff is absolutely horrible, they give your room number to anyone that walks through the door as long as they say they know u I had broke up with my boyfriend and he came in there and said I'm her brother and they gave him my room number which could have ended my life, rooms are disgusting, not to mention they have cockroaches

I did not like the fact that I had booked 2 separate rooms and when we left we left do not disturb signs on the door handle of each room. When I returned I noticed that the trash had been removed and the bed was half made so it was late we went to sleep next morning I went for coffee and to check out the breakfast that consisted of microwave eggs and sausage so I decided to pass . Got to my room and my Wife asked if had packed toiletry item I said no . We looked around couldn't find.So our friend that stayed in another room around the corner came in and heard me and said that she too had put up a do not disturb sign and they had went into her room also. Now I hot and go down to the desk and asked if I put the sign on the outside of the door. From this point on all I heard was excuses that he will check with the with management and staff so we just left at this point.Here are some pictures .

Great affordable option for LaPorte area. Rooms are clean, and staff super friendly. Pool, steam shower & sauna. Free coffee and water in the mornings. If you need a lot of extras and ambience thia is not the place for you. If you want convience and support a family who is working on reviving a former chain hotel, then this IS the place for you! It was cute to see families playing bags in the central artrium. Quiet time is 10pm-10am.

This place seems to be just getting going again after a hiatus. Rooms were upgraded around 6 months ago i think. Other renovations seem to be happening in the rest of the building too. The restaurant is nearing completion as well the front desk clerk said. No problem w/keys etc. Very affordable for a Notre Dame football weekend especially compared to South Bend & Elkhart. Easy drive into the stadium (took us about 45 mins to drive the 28.5 miles.)

The pictures that were on Expedia, was not this hotel! They showed nice looking rooms with a view a lake right outside. Closest lake about a half mile away.

quick getaway for grandson birthday, many improvements have been made, some are still progress; but the facility was clean, rooms were good size and nicely decorated. Had to leave before breakfast was served (7a-9a) so I cannot speak on that.

We had a great stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with eggs and sausage. We learned that to make sure you get the kind of room you want you should call the hotel directly after registering.

Hot tub was completely drained and out of service. I requested and paid for a late check out but had to go down to the front desk and get a new key card 3x between 9 am and noon. They did not have a breakfast as advertised. The toilet in our room had black lines in it like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Then there were 2 gentlemen (not necessarily homeless) but that were laying in the atrium playing on their phones all night.

Beds were comfortable and staff was nice. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. They had some cereal, sausage and fried eggs, waffles but the syrup was out. Then some bread items. The refrigerator seemed to work half the time, we had to throw out some items. It was a devent stay.

Bathroom- death trap. Sink faucet sprayed everywhere. Toilet- moved and was not bolted to the floor. Shower- shower head trickled and the tub you were standing in didn’t drain. Bathroom by check in desk was filthy. Toilet paper dispenser was just hanging by one screw. Breakfast the following morning….. coffee was like mud and there were no lids to put on to carry back to the room so let’s burn the hand. Taste was terrible- very bitter. Landscaping and weeds everywhere. I paid 120.00 a night…. Really? It was not worth it. Take pride in your property people!

Pool was cold and jacuzzi was not working. This was main reasons for selecting this hotel. Overall maintenance of the hotel was lacking. Aso the hotels restaurant was no longer open. None of which were noted when booking room.

Older hotel which is attempting to modernize key areas. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We felt safe. The restaurant in the hotel was UNO, pizza was very good, dinning area clean except for carpet was very old and needs new flooring badly. Continental breakfast was good, service poor ( no one available to assist you and food ran out by 9am) open from 6am to 10 am.

I liked nothing about this hotel. The breakfast had no oj, apple juice, eggs, sausage/bacon. No syrup, yogurt, 1 inch of milk in a jug and that was soon gone. No bread, rolls, just a few small muffins which were gone in less than 5 min. No kitchen help. I finally found front desk clerk and he came and said we would try to find items. They haven't touched the grounds in probably 3 yrs. Garbage everywhere outside, cans overflowing. Given wrong keys at check in and went in an occupied room. Close this hotel!

One elevator was broke down. This hotel is an older Best Western which was obviously not kept up. Current owners seem to be doing a lot of repairs. We stayed in a newly remodeled room and it was very nice. Very clean. Indoor/outdoor pool - nice. The pool area itself is run down with the exception of the pool, steam shower and sauna. Hot tub was not working. It will be a very nice place to stay if they continue the work being done. It has a ways to go. Breakfast was good. I would/will stay here again.
