It was fine. Rooms are clean and have a full size refrigerator. Bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. There is a liquor store across the street but in literally has liquor and not much else.

They have done a really nice job bringing this old place back to life. There are a few cosmetic issues with moldy grout and hidden dirty corners. But overall it is clean, well-appointed, mostly quiet and the beds are comfy.The staff are VERY friendly and helpful. The price is exceptional for the convenience and the very handy kitchenette. Should I have need to be in the area again, I would definitely chose ESA again.

They have done a really nice job bringing this old place back to life. There are a few cosmetic issues with moldy grout and hidden dirty corners. But overall it is clean, well-appointed, mostly quiet and the beds are comfy.The staff are VERY friendly and helpful. The price is exceptional for the convenience and the very handy kitchenette. Should I have need to be in the area again, I would definitely chose ESA again.

What was unique and great about the room was the wooden floors and that both the living area and restroom were brightly lit. The accommodations were excellent -- the full-sized refrigerator and two-burner stove allowed us to prepare our own breakfast each morning and tea at night. The only drawback was the brightly lit entryway which attracted flies at night which was a nuisance when attempting to enter the room. To deal with this concern, we purchased Zevo which worked very well. Overall, the staff was super friendly, we would definitely consider staying here again when in the area and would recommend the property to others.

The hotel was new and well maintained. Everything in the room was convenient from the large refrigerator to the equipped kitchen to the multiple modern plugs. The front desk attendant was very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel

I love the contact-less checkin. Very easy and efficient. Parked right in front of my door. My room was quiet and clean. Good amenities in room for longer stays - full size fridge, cook top and micro. Sink/disposal in kitchenette.

The property has been amazing. Super clean, staff is amazing, and love the fact that you can cook in the room. The only downside is the road noise but the tradeoff of such great facilities, is well worth it. We will absolutely stay here again!

This had a full kitchen, which was great with all we needed to make a full meal and a full fridge to put leftovers. The facilities were bright and clean. Open the front door and look at the lake!

Stayed here when they first reopened and everything was great you could smell the fresh paint. Some original fixtures like lamps, dressers, chairs weren’t replaced, but they were manageable. Not so great this stay first room dirty with random splatters on walls and lamp shade and wall next to bed. I believe there was heavy black mold/ water damage growing on trim in bathroom. Comforter on bed had stains on it. Etc. awoken at 7/8am by room service 2 taps then opened door to look in to see if room was occupied. Switched rooms next day more of the same with random splatters on wall, stove wasn’t cleaned from previous person left food splatter and dead fly, more stains on comforter and decorative pillows, dirt/stains in shower, bugs, dirt and sticky stuff on the floor, etc….. it just appears that housekeeping isn’t paying attention to detail and turning rooms over in a hurry.

The room wasn’t too bad at first glance but the shower still had hair from the last renter. We picked a hotel specifically because it had a kitchen but there were no utensils or pans to cook with. My husband is a strict vegetarian and we brought food specifically because we knew eating out would be difficult. Some things were updated but there was a window in the bathroom on the ground floor! It was not covered in any way.

The ladies that work there are amazing. Very sweet and helpful. However, being on a highway, it's very loud and hard to sleep. Didn't hear anything from the surrounding rooms. The bathroom was very dirty-dirt and hair on the floor, someone's dirty socks were in the bottom of the entertainment center, TV didn't work 1st night. Ran out of toilet paper and had to wait until someone showed up Sunday morning (after 10) to get that and extra towels. You have to dodge bugs outside the door at night and quickly open and close the door to try to keep them from getting inside (didn't work-they got in anyway.) Big fridge, 2 burner stove, pots/pans/dishes, microwave, snacks are all pluses! Dual pane windows could help significantly with hwy noise. With a little extra cleaning and maintenance, it could be a great stay and location.

The room didn’t look like the pictures posted on the website. The room, bathroom, and beds were dirty. The sheets on one of the beds looked like dried blood on the sheets along with hair. The lamps had something splattered on the shades and someone attempted to wipe them off. Very disappointed!

This property is very clean. Check-in went smoothly, but be prepared to bring a photo ID that will be copied. We liked the door code versus having to manage a key, and the room was well-appointed with had a spotless, organized kitchenette If we had any complaints it was that we were on the ground floor and the person above had very heavy footsteps and seemed to be pacing. It literally kept us awake. Get a second floor room if you can manage stairs.

Overall, I like it's one of the better places to stay in Gun Barrel City. The wall feels like they are thin and you can hear the other people. Also, it's close to the road, so you hear a lot of road noise. Either way, I would consider staying there again.

Very clean and nice place to stay. Its new or been remodeled recently so lets see if it atays that way. Will definitely stay again. Only downside is distance from road. You can hear traffic all night long.

Check in staff was friendly. Room was clean, well appointed (even got a basket of snacks and water!) and comfortable. Beds were comfy, plenty of pillows. Only complaint is that the doors and windows face the parking so it can be a bit noisy but was terribly bothersome. Would stay again...

My room was clean and the staff is always so nice when I stay here. However, the other customers were very inconsiderate of those on the 1st floor and sounded like they were rearranging furniture and pacing on the 2nd floor until late into the night on Wednesday night.

I arrived about 2 hours after the available checkin time and walked into the room and the bed wasn't made. I had to use the bathroom since I had been on the road for 2 hours and there were towels on the floor. Newton took care of it and cleaned himself. Since I had an event to go to it was ok, but not ideal since I wanted to drop off my things and relax before heading to my event. While I was gone I received a call from him to say the room was cleaned and that half of my money would be refunded. I returned later that night to rest, to park in the back where I didn't feel completely safe, the room was cold and I found the blanket the next day. There was only one towel in the bathroom for the shower which was really tight for someone of my height. Please know that your employees handled the situation the best they could.

Very clean and nice place to stay. Its new or been remodeled recently so lets see if it atays that way. Will definitely stay again. Only downside is distance from road. You can hear traffic all night long.

I love the contact-less checkin. Very easy and efficient. Parked right in front of my door. My room was quiet and clean. Good amenities in room for longer stays - full size fridge, cook top and micro. Sink/disposal in kitchenette.

Very clean, newly renovated, close to restaurant, quiet, everything you need. Staff was super friendly. Price was very affordable I stayed to go to trade days in Canton it was a quick 20 minute drive to Canton

They have done a really nice job bringing this old place back to life. There are a few cosmetic issues with moldy grout and hidden dirty corners. But overall it is clean, well-appointed, mostly quiet and the beds are comfy.The staff are VERY friendly and helpful. The price is exceptional for the convenience and the very handy kitchenette. Should I have need to be in the area again, I would definitely chose ESA again.

What was unique and great about the room was the wooden floors and that both the living area and restroom were brightly lit. The accommodations were excellent -- the full-sized refrigerator and two-burner stove allowed us to prepare our own breakfast each morning and tea at night. The only drawback was the brightly lit entryway which attracted flies at night which was a nuisance when attempting to enter the room. To deal with this concern, we purchased Zevo which worked very well. Overall, the staff was super friendly, we would definitely consider staying here again when in the area and would recommend the property to others.

The hotel was new and well maintained. Everything in the room was convenient from the large refrigerator to the equipped kitchen to the multiple modern plugs. The front desk attendant was very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel

This had a full kitchen, which was great with all we needed to make a full meal and a full fridge to put leftovers. The facilities were bright and clean. Open the front door and look at the lake!

Excellent price. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very helpful and gracious. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious. Check in and check out was a breeze. Only thing that could have been better was an on site restaurant. But for the price we got more than we expected

Not very fancy looking on the outside you probably wouldn't even go in, but I read the reviews like I always do and they were amazing the best in town, and I'm surprised they weren't even higher than they were. Super bright night time lights for parking right in front of your room, room crazy clean full refrigerator and stove and kitchen, bed super comfortable and clean Just a fabulous motel at a really affordable price

The room we stayed in needs a lot of help. The bed was nice to sleep in, but the overall room needed a deep cleaning from bugs. The AC was a bit loud, but overall a good stay to rest after being at the lake.

It’s an older Motel but it definitely surprised me Front desk clerk was very friendly suggesting best places to eat Has full refrigerator microwave and cooking plate kitchenette was stocked with the essentials It was clean and showers were hot We didn’t need to use the air conditioner but tried it out and worked good Reason for not giving 5 stars was the guests that live there full time stand outside to smoke by the doors so you smell it soon as you open the doors Guest above us was constantly walking back and forth dropping stuff on the floor constantly up until 2 AM Sounded like he was throwing a ball to his dog Overall 4.0-4.5 rating
