Days Inn By Wyndham Pigeon Forge South

Arrived here and looks as if they are trying to work on rooms but i dont think leaving trash around and mattresses stacked up outside is a good look. The flip lock on our door wasnt even tight and fell off. The pool was ok but some of the plaster was coming off showing the previous layer. The color changing light was lose and someone said there was wiring showing. The room itself was ok... nothing fancy, the beds were hard as a rock, the AC units were loud. But what you expect for being the cheapest i found.

original room had open door and was not cleaned. First thing they offered me a refund. I had to ask for another room. No washcloths in room. Stairwell filthy. Ice machine inoperative. TV didn't work, I notified front desk and they said they would send someone to fix it but never die. No phone in room. No wakeup call service. No room service in a full week stay. Had to raid housecare cart to get soap, washcloths, and towels. Other guests die same thing. small hole in sheet rock that was not repaired. trash cans overflowing in common areas. Beds were made with the bed sheet on top of the blankets instead of under the blanket, so that your body touched the blanket when you slept. In 73 years I have never seen a bed made like that.

This property is a work in progress though not a lot of progress seemed to be made while we stayed our three days. When we arrived we were put in a ground floor room. The walls and ceiling had black mold. We requested another room which was two doors down and there was the same problem. When I suggested a second floor room we got a newly remodeled room which was clean. Public areas (pool, walkways) did not seem to get cleaned. The hot tub was not functional and had green algae water in it. Staff needs more training as no one seemed to have answers. Our key card needed to be reset each day instead of having it programmed the first time to work for three days. The price was good for this hotel but you should at least get basics (knowledgeable staff, cleanliness, etc).

No towels in room, no kleenex, no extra toilet tissue, no ice bag, no coffee pot(although there was coffee pouches), Ice machine inoperatice, several exteria lights hanging loose from bldg, air conditioner exterior cover falling off. Need I say more. Worst Wymdam hotel that I ever I ever stayed at.

I didn't like that they didn't take care of pool. The pool also needs updates. They need more filter or something.The state shut it down because of it. So it was in the 90s and it wasn't open. They couldn't do anything about it. They need a lot of updates. The shower was bad. It was kinda peaceful. Needs more garbage cans. There wasn't breakfast other then pop tarts. It was definitely run down too long.

When we got there their pool was disgusting, they had a pile of mattresses outside the hotel and a huge dumpster filled with trash, their hot tub was filled with rocks so there no hot tub, they will only give you one roll in your room for the bathroom, appliances were broken both hairdryers were burnt out and wouldn’t even turn on, the show sound you were about to fall through the roof. The blankets they gave us was bleached and had cigarette holes in them, they place smelled like cigarettes, I would never ever stay at this place again

Entire facility is disgusting. Had to be moved from our original room to another room due to horrible smell, no blankets on beds and awful huge yellow stain in bathtub. Second room wasn't much better but doable. No towels, had to walk to office to get them multiple times. Old mattresses/equipment/furniture thrown in stacks literally all around property leaning against railings right outside of rooms. Smells awful walking in hallways. Trash and litter all over ground in front of rooms. Would not recommend to. anyone.

This property has apparently been under renovations for years - to surrounding areas. The place is reeking of drugs - horribly dirty, filthy, stacks of trash and bins apparently have never been dumped - DO NOT STAY HERE!!

First room I had was not clean toilet runs and no one on site to fix anything. Was moved to another room bath tub looks out of shape toilet still ran but not as bad as the first one. There was no swimming available. Room service there is none unless you let someone know in the office that you need it and you must tell them every night. No one shows up on time in the morning you must wait for about an hour. I will not be returning back to this property. I will go with someone else besides Days Inn.

This place was disgusting and nasty

Registration was a fold up table in the corner of a smelly office. Outside of the hotel was a dirty shambles. When we opened our room we found the mattresses pulled away from the wall. Both mattresses were moldy. The wall had excessive amount of mold. Floor was filthy. No linens at all on the beds. We didn’t go any further. Returned to registration and ask for a refund, we weren’t staying in this dump! This hotel is not fit for occupancy and needs a visit from the health department! Two days later the manager still hasn’t contacted us and the full two day’s reservation has been billed to my credit card.

Absolutely disgusting. DO NOT STAY HERE. Dirty floors, top lock was broken, dirty mattresses piled up outside, carpet ripping up, lights did not work, bugs, not enough towels, filthy tub.

This place was dirty and we had to fight to get clean towels and we stayed 4 nights and our room was never cleaned.

The room did not have a table light or alarm clock, it appeared yo be recently remodeled but the holes in the night srand did not align with outlet. The shower had issues of its own. They did not put washcloths in the room we had to ask and then wait for some to be laundered. Upon check in and out the dssk personnel were more worried about talking on cell phones. However, the location is convenient to attractions.

We are not pleased. We booked for 2 night and only stayed 1. We asked for a refund at the hotel and they said we would need to discuss with hotel.com. The room was disgusting, dust in the carpet corners, spider webs. Carpet had food and dirt on it. Very dirty smells. Unopened soap from previous guests were left. Bugs on bed. I have pictures of everything. We even asked for towels and we were declined towels. We did not shower due to this. Very disappointed with our stay.

We checked in looked at the room and checked right back out after getting pictures Bed bugs, roaches, mold, dirty towels in filthy bathroom, sex stains on the bed and blood dried on the wall I have pictures they have def been reported

Nothing did I like the property was dirty wet the floors were wet the sink did not have cold water something was spilled on the floor. The first night we had no wash rags and we never got them. Needless to say we did not stay the third night.

Sheets were dirty/stained. No towels in room. Bathtub was stained up. Awful smell

Bathroom mirror was broken, wall on two sides were broken. Carpet was so dirty and stinky, They didn't clean the room before we checked in. We found left over food on the table and food on the floor. Hairs on the beds. Balcony door was broken. Another door didn't close properly. Scary part was bed bugs bit my son and me. At least 10 bites on my son's hand. I caught one from by back when it bit me and we were confirmed it was bed bug. Website said non smoking which is not true. They have swimming pool but water was about 2 feet and dirty. Had intension to take picture of broken wall and dirty carpets but forgot. No one available in the office after 12am. We try to reach them to clean the room over the phone using different numbers that we found on the entrace door and other places. No one answered.

The property was horrible. My room was given to someone else when I got here so had to go through 3 room to get me a room. There was no faucet none to turn water shower on. Didn’t have a shower head. Racks for hanging towel don’t stay on wall. Heater stinks like burning so can’t even turn heater on. Hair dryer is so full of dust can’t even us it. Place is so dusty.

The carpet felt sticky and ripped away from the wall. The stand that the tv was on looked rotted and was falling apart. The mini fridge was falling out of its place. The night stand between the beds was falling apart and there was a baggy behind it so the room obviously wasn’t cleaned. There was a big hole in the bathroom door like someone had punched it. When flushing the toilet it wouldn’t fill back up. The tub was disgusting, looked like it had never been cleaned and the non slip thing attached in the bottom was pulling away from it and chipping off. There was mold in the tub.

No remote for tv. One office gave me did not work tv.

Bathroom shower handles were not there and crappy mattress was broken down and the blow dryer couldnt be plugged in so it would work

The room smelled, they never come and got the trash, and we had to ask for towels everyday. Also the WiFi never worked right.

Broken HVAC. TV can't connect. 1 bed of 2 unmade. Ceiling falling down. Ceiling fan noise. No hair dryer. No ironing board cover. Area outside looks like a hangout for homeless.

I’m one to not generally leave a bad review, but this was probably one of the worst motel stays I have ever had. 1st our door didn’t even lock & our deadbolt was not intact. We also had a fridge that did not fit the space and every time I put something in it, it would fall out. Also my husband, and I were not given any Wi-Fi, and our room was not cleaned our entire time there. Additionally, when we first entered our room, it was disgusting. The bathroom floor and shower was full of dust and bugs, and our towels were stained. Also, every time we left our hotel room, our keys went unactivated. I went to the front desk on our last day to get it fixed, and there was no one at the front desk for over an hour, I even called the phone and got no answer. I think with some renovations and some better cleaning service it has prosperity. I also think that the breakfast service should be set up and open the way it was displayed on your ads.

Only 3 towels in 2 bedroom suite, TV did not work in 1 . Construction going on in rooms, batteries missing from remotes drive full of potholes

I booked for a week. I understand that the price was low but my television never worked. I ask them to fix it within one hour of checking in and twice a day after that. It was never fixed! The heavyset lady at the front desk never looked at me when i ask for the tv repair. She appeared to be in a voodoo trance of some kind.

Hotel itself was fine but very very outdated. Beds were very comfortable but room really needs updating. We basically just slept there so we were good but if you’re looking for a deluxe over the top hotel, this isn’t it

Still waiting on my deposit to be refunded. For the price I couldn't complain friendly helpful staff and a smooth process

RUN AWAY!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! We reserved a room for 5 and confirmed the day prior to last day to cancel. Arrived around 5:00pm on 8/11 to be told by the very rude front desk staff that they did not have that type of room and we would have to take a room downgrade. The staff would not provide a name or number for any type of management and continued to shout at people in the lobby. There were 4 other families in the lobby dealing with the same issue! One was on the phone with another booking agency trying to get the room cancelled, but the hotel staff would not provide an accurate phone number and would not talk to them on the lady's mobile phone. All of us had already been charged for at least one night One of those families called the Pigeon Forge Police Department. When the police arrived, the attitude of the front desk staff changed dramatically. The police indicated that they could not do anything since this was civil matter. The staff eventually cancelled my reservation (I think), but I contacted my credit card company and disputed the charges. We had to try and find other lodging in Pigeon Forge on a Friday evening!

We were running late so I called the hotel just before midnoght to let them know we were 30 minutes out. The clerk said "no problem, call the number on the door when you arrive for your room." We arrived within 30 minutes and called the number to find it went to a voice mailbox that had not been setup, leaving us in our vehicle with nowhere to sleep at 12:45am. Hotel.com was also unable to reach them and Days Inn customer service was no help. We had to find a hotel with a 24 hr desk and pay twice as much for a room. The hotel we had paid for then said we were a no show since we showed up after 12 and it was not their problem despite calling before 12 and being told we would still be able to check in and the clerk just leaving us hanging. The clerk the next morning could not have cared less and told us we'd have to deal with hotels.com. We've stayed there many times before but unlikely to again as their service is terrible and staff is dishonest. Basically ripped me off for my night's stay.

We didn't make it past check-in. The hotel cancelled our reservation the day of check in and didn't notify us. We drove 3 hours to the hotel and had no where to stay. The man at the checkout was very rude, wouldn't speak above a mumble, and did not help us at all. He didn't seem to want to be there. Also, there's a $75 security deposit that is never mentioned during online registration.

When I got there the doors were locked they had a phone number but no one answered and their voicemail was full. I paid to stay but had to go somewhere else to stay that night

It was OK, but they really need to keep somebody at the front desk. I got locked out of my room because for some unknown reason, they deactivated my key card and I waited 40 minutes for somebody to come in and while I was waiting 4 people came to check in and nobody was there for 40 minutes.

The beds are so uncomfortable, the place was filthy and outdated, there was absolutely no service, I couldn’t get clean linens, the office (lobby) was always locked, and the complimentary breakfast - it did not exist. The receptionist stayed in the room next to us and had numerous people in and out all evening, her dog NEVER shut up, and the smell of marijuana coming from her door would nearly knock you down! Also, I am STILL waiting for the return of my $75 deposit and am considering filing a dispute for full amount due to my experience. So save yourself the headache and do NOT stay here!

They were double booking rooms and had no rooms available and no money was given back because of the long line of people having the same issue. Lesson bought

They didn’t offer housekeeping for stay overs. When checked in only had 2 bath towels Have not sent my deposit back as of yet and checked out 5/9/2025!

Did not stay the night but was charged anyway. Room was terrible and filthy. The manager was rude and unprofessional when I inquired about a room change. She just told the clerk to give me a refund, which they denied when they were contacted. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I understand they are renovating but when I asked about a different room that’s when the disrespect and lies began. The owners need to take a long look at the management and renovate that as well. There were other issues while we were there but that’s not for me to discuss on here.

The price was very reasonable. My husband and I have 5 children so we have to find hotels on the cheaper side. Location was great. 15 mins for Gatlinburg. You could walk to eat, gas stations, fun stuff from the hotel in pigeon forge. Nothing was far from the hotel. I am not a picky person or hard to please when it comes to hotels BUT the condition of the rooms was terrible. There wasn’t any cleaning service. There was a strong mildew smell. The carpets were dirty and sticky your feet would be black from walking on it after a shower. I asked for a vacuum they said I couldn’t use it but send someone up. Never did. The tub and sinks didn’t drain. The hot tub outside had black film on the bubbles.

Because it’s in the tourist area it was a bit noisy

This is a super cheap hotel because it is understaffed and old. But our room was clean. The bed was very comfortable, the AC worked great, my kids loved the pool, and it was very convenient to places to eat. We had a fridge and a microwave and a Roku TV. The only complaint is it was so understaffed, but that seems to be the new normal. If you are worried about the service, just bring your own towels and an extra blanket, so you don't have to deal with the staff. If you want to save some money, it's a great place to stay.

Convenience of it all

We needed one night to stay before heading to our cabin as we extended our trip. When we pulled up we felt like the place looked fine. Nothing fancy, but would serve its purpose. We checked in late around 10pm. Staff came off a little cold but I thought “whatever, it’s an inexpensive place for just one night”. Upon entering the room we noticed the floor was sticky. The bathroom was disgusting with a hole in the wall, dirty floor and tub with a terrible repair job and hair laying around. No shower for us. After deciding the sheets were clean we decided we would just deal with it, we would be there less than 12 hours. After bringing our things in I realized there was no way to lock the door from the inside. Half the safety lock was missing. I decided we were in a safe area, we were exhausted, it’s fine. So we crawled into bed…it wasn’t uncomfortable but it creaked and popped when I moved. Well, at one am I woke up to the sound of the door handle rattling around. I jumped up and yelled. Then there was a knock. Heart pounding, I peek through the curtain. It’s an employee. She tells me that the computer showed the room was vacant. She half apologized, took my last name and left. Hard to sleep after that adrenaline rush of terror. Never again.

The hotel needs quite a bit of updating to feel comfortable. The staff was nice and helpful but the property is in rough shape. The location is well suited for trips in and around Pigeon Forge.

Good location. Very nice staff. Cleanliness of the room was not up to standards and the outdoor area from the balcony is almost scary due to no lightening and overall condition.

Nice, inexpensive hotel right on the strip. No ice buckets though 😡.

You shouldn't show pictures of your breakfast dining area as it is closed and being used for storage. No breakfast

When I got up to the room it was obvious it had not been cleaned. One bed was unmade and all the lights were on. The key card was hit or miss unlocking the door and needed several tries to work. There were no towels in the room. The faucet was broken. It still worked you had to hold it in one hand and work the lever with the other. The internet did not work. I could connect to it but the web request could not go through. The TV remote had dead batteries. I tried getting a towel and washcloth from the clerk. She would not get them for me. The clerk told me there was breakfast from 6:00am to 9:00am. I went down at 7:30 and the doors were locked. Other guest also walked up for breakfast. We called the number on the door and were told the clerk would be there at 8:45. People were not happy.

We had no wash rags, One soap, no shampoo, dirty bathtubs, no TV in the living room space, The TV in the bedroom did not work for the first night, there was no cold water in the bathroom sink, there was no garbage can except one in the living room space, The hair dryer did not work, there was no light bulbs in the lamp, The smoke detector was not on the wall, there were couches outside that were very worn and a big dumpster sitting there in the corner downstairs. The shower/bathtub had dripping water continuously and getting worse. It smelled moldy, and the floors were not cleaned very good. And they state that they have breakfast and since there was five of us that was one of the main reasons that I paid for this stay there. They had coffee, those crunchy cheap breakfast bars and the juice machine was out of order. That's what they consider breakfast?!! And when I tried to call the number to the front desk, which there was no phone in the room, The phone number doesn't work The voicemail had not been set up yet. And customer care could not get through as well So I walked to the office and complained about the TV and the next morning said the TV was still not working, And I asked them where the breakfast is. They told me it was grab and go and they laughed at me and the lady in there that worked in there was saying that oh she's just venting. Very unprofessional!!! Seems they don't care about their customers and you can't even call them. Extremely disappointed!!!!

Check-in attendees were more interested in chatting among themselves than helping me and another traveler check in. Arrived in room and there were stink bugs on the wall and stains on two of the three bed covers. We booked the room for 5 and there were 2 towels in the room. Neither matched and one had holes in it. The "free breakfast" that was listed as a part of the property was non-existent due to renovations. The whole place needs a renovation. Would not stay in this again. Try another place on the strip instead.

How this place stays in business is a mystery to me. Where to begin…. We had 2 rooms. Odor was overwhelming, dirty mattresses and other debris everywhere. Dirt has collected in the corners for who knows how long. No clothes hangers anywhere. I did not get any soap or shampoo, while my friend did. Towels were paper thin. Lighting outside was inadequate. Oh, and the ‘light breakfast’? Coffee and a protein bar. Customer service was challenging. We checked out early (couldn’t stay there as long as we’d planned). We finally got the refund we were promised, but only after fighting for it. Days Inn? Never again. I made the mistake of using Expedia, and dealing with them via email and text was the worst. Expedia? Never again. Ever…

What we didnt like is the fact we had to get clean towels and toilet paper. I feel the rooms being checked on couldve been better. The door was hard to close as well i shouldnt have to slam a door just to get it closed. But other than that i will say staff was pretty friendly for the most part.

The property is under construction and in disarray. They did not serve breakfast as advertised. Would have chose a different place to stay had I known this up front.
