Aufenthalt für eine Nacht

Full disclaimer, we had expected this to be a hotel and not a hostel. It is actually not bad for a hostile set up with a private room and shared bathrooms. Place was very clean. Had a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and some toast and jam/butter. Box of juice was also provided per person in each room. My major issue, though, was the noise level. People coming in and out, even if they had a normal conversation, would create lots of sound coming into the room and waking us up. Also, it is right on the street and a lot of traffic noise and construction noises continue to come into the room throughout the night. We had to wear noise canceling headphones in order to sleep uninterrupted. The air condition worked really well. The blind on the main window is outside, operated by a screw that should be manipulated with a bar/rod, which was not available so we were unable to keep the light out. Bathrooms were clean, but one of the showers is only 2‘ x 2‘ and once you get in, it’s hard to move around or even reach your knees or your feet. It also leaked outside, creating a water puddle on the floor. I didn’t notice that the bathrooms were cleaned quite regularly. Overall, for the price, considering it is a hostel with private rooms and share bathrooms, it is not a bad option for someone who is used to this set up. If, however, you’re expecting a hotel, then you’re better off, looking at other places.
