Red Roof Inn Los Angeles - Bellflower

Clean rooms, a pool, nice staff.

Upon arrival my assigned room lock did not work. After trying another room, the lock malfunctioned too. Upon the master key opening of the room, it was in a state of dis-repair. The room was evidently part way through a remodel, smelled of smoke and cannibis. I was moved to another room. The third room I was assigned had a working key and lock. However, the room had several dead roaches in the bathroom, on the counter top and on the floor. There were also several additional live roaches for entertainment. The TV was working but limited to the 12 channels programmed in. The towels are almost tissue paper. The fixtures and fittings resemble what should be red roof. However, the rest of the room other than the drawers and TV unit was motel six. The bed was like a temp fold out mattress that was in permanent place, The 1970s wood chip wall paper was painted brown, sweet. I have stayed in red roof properties on the East Coast, they are clean and modern. This property in Bellflower and the one in Blyth CA are sub standard. After my third night I had pretty much become accustomed to the room. The housekeeping only showed up if you were waiting in for them. Which is awesome if you work all day. Requested room service and received it so that was OK. The lady I interacted with at the front desk the most, name not remembered was lovely. She was working 16 hours somedays and was always cheerful when working. This property does have a pool, but the gate was chained closed, beautiful.

The actual room was nice except there was no shampoo or shower gel or lotion in the dispensers. No smoke alarm, missing 2 lightbulbs, dirty bedspread. Also the vending machine was almost out of every thing and when I went to check out early in the morning, it took 15 minutes of me knocking and ringing the bell to wake up the attendant. I went out for most of my time there but when I returned late at night there were people milling around in the parking lot near my room and I felt very uncomfortable and afraid.

wi fi did not work, and the pool was closed (due to the state of the pool it was never opened)

Needed a nice comfortable room for my partner and I to stay in. Check in was very easy, the guy was extremely nice. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Parking lot is very big. Overall I would stay here again.

The ice maker wasn't working. There was no soap in the bathroom (or room). The tv would not turn on, so I had to have the desk clerk turn it on for me. Had the same problem again later.

Location was close to highways which made traveling around LA easy. Friendly and respectful staff. However the ice machine was broken and the was minimal selection in the vending machine but there was a conscience store close by

The staff was accommodating and professional. The pool was the perfect temp. Had a beer and cigar at the pool.

The main reason why we chose this place was for the pool but when we got there it was locked. The restroom door to the room we were in wouldn’t shut correctly and there were no towels for us to use. The ceiling of the room looked like it was falling apart. Another issue was that when requesting the room I asked for a non smoking room and ended up getting one that the restroom smelled like cigarettes and the air conditioner smelled like marijuana. The outside area of the rooms were really dirty also.

Dirty! Blood stain on comforter, 2 towels, 1 washcloth, something splattered on the wall/TV, spider webs in ceiling.Went to check in at 3, the room wasn’t ready. Several people were waiting to check in.

Dirty, never going back horrible service . Graffiti on the counters in the restroom , there was poop on the toilet seats , tiles very very dirty , bathroom sink linking

This place was an utter disaster. Nearly $600 for a 3-day weekend in what amounted to a hooker motel. Dirty shower, dirt and grime in the fixtures and around the room, horribly uncomfortable bed, a door that would barely shut, holes in towels, and rude staff that weren’t at the front desk half the time. The toilet and shower overflowed with water. They “fixed it” only for the issue to resurface upon next use. There were vagrants in the parking lot, domestic disputes in the room next door, and a full on police chase that ended at 3am outside my window in the parking lot with police drawing their weapons and shouting into a megaphone. DO NOT give them your money.

The bathroom had no towels and had stains in the sink toilet and bathtub. The walls had excessive amounts of chipped paint and the door looked like it had been kicked in and barely secured. There were also roaches under the dresser and in the corners of the room. We went back to the front desk and they wouldn't cancel the booking stating we had been there an hour. They convinced us to stay in another room at this point we had been up for quite a while from flying and were ready to be done. The second room was also dirty but in better condition. We had napped for a couple hours and when we woke up I went to use the restroom and the toilet would not flush like it was clogged. Tried getting a plunger from the front desk but they wouldn't answer the phone. Went to the front desk and the employee said they didn't have one. I told him about the toilet not working and he said there was nothing he could do about it. Took 5 days to get a refund with hotel staff refusing to answer their phone to resolve with Expedia.

It was dirty there was period blood on the covers and I didn’t wind up staying because that’s how dirty it was. I COULD NOT!!!

The room was the dirtiest room I have ever seen. We had to go to buy cleaning supplies and clean everything. There was even poo on the walls, broken walls and disgusting bathroom. Towels with holes and disgusting and the floor unswept. Just disgusting!!!

The room was filthy. The mattress was so stained I couldn’t tell if it was blood, it was disgusting. There were old dead bug (I’m sure bed bugs) remnants in the mattress folds. It turns out people were living in the hotel.

Hotel rooms were dirty bed bugs on bed Only 1 towel per day and service was terrible

Room was dirty, bathroom dirty, weird substance on walls, outlets didn’t work in bathroom, towel rack and shower curtain rod was falling off the wall. Perhaps not drilled into a stud, key didn’t work mult times had to be reset, dirty tiny shower towels, no wash cloths, hair all over bathroom

Please do not book with this listing. The photos & information provided are not accurate to the actual hotel itself. Here were the problems we found with just our hotel room : - There was no top lock on the door because it seemed as if someone had broken in the door before, there was a hole on the wall where the door handle had been smashed against it. - The entire room & A/C unit smelt horribly of urine and cigarettes (albeit, we were in a smoking allowed room, so the cigarette smell is understandable). - There was black mold in the bathroom around the toilet & above the shower, which is a huge safety hazard - The entire hotel room floor had a stickiness to it - The fridge turned off randomly & spoiled all of our food for the weekend - The mattress was sunken in & incredibly stained, making for an unpleasant sleep - Also, we paid for a “suite” with an “ocean view”, but I honestly believe the hotel receptionist just assigned us to any room they had available. Look, its a fairly cheap listing & I wasn’t expecting luxury, and I knew the surrounding area wasn’t the best part of Bellflower, but the rooms look nothing like the photos, the hotel lobby doesn’t even look as depicted. Both my sister & I got incredibly sick after staying here, so, I encourage you to find another listing that is more honest about their property.

I booked over a month in advance and also let the staff know i was going to check in late around 11pm. When i arrived they had to check to see if there was a room ready and or available. The room i was given looked like the door had been broken open before and a poor attempt to repair the door jamb had been made with some thin metal plates and wood screws which were visible from the outside. The shower tub had 4 areas where it was rusted on the floor and a potential hazard for cutting your foot. Where a mirror was supposed to be there was just a piece of wood where it was supposed to hang and the wall was splashed with something yellow. The air conditioning unit did not power on and the tv did not work. I then asked for another room and was told they were completely booked and it was all they had. After telling them i had booked this hotel way ahead of time and that there was no way i could comfortably sleep in that room for 2 nights without the a/c and knowing the door could potentially be opened from the outside with little effort. I was then given another room to which the a/c at least turned on, but did not cool the room only at least circulated the air. There was a hole in the wall and unpainted patches aound the room. The door at least seemed secure enough and the air circulating was enough that i didnt sweat for the night. I took it for what it was but was extremely disappointed as the pictures of the rooms looked updated and extremely well maintained. They were not.

T.v didn't work, shower wasn't working, I told the front desk I wasn't offered a different room nor they came to fix it, I had to check out early never staying there again

The hotel was old, the air conditioner did work but was old, rusty and was taped in position. The bathroom tub was old with marks from being worn down. The bathroom was surface clean but not thoroughly. cleaned. The floors needed scrubbing. The comforter was thin like a sheet and the towels were very thin. They only had 1 washcloth the entire 3 day stay but she did give me extra towels. There were no cups or ice bucket. No hooks to hang towels in bathroom and no hangers in the room for clothes. I had to go to the front desk and ask; she gave me 4 hangers to use which helped. The bed was off balance and moved and made a noise everytime you stepped off of it. Every time we left and came back our key didn’t work. No one came in daily to fix our bed or change our towels. It was loud at night; I didn’t feel safe as our door shut but appeared like it had been previously tampered with and the thing that serves as a safety hook at the top was broken. There was a lot of activity at night and my daughter asked me, “isnt that the prostitution hotel?” She is familiar with the area. The only good part was the front desk ladies(2) were very nice. Truthfully , I wanted to cancel and go somewhere else but I’d already paid so we stuck it out. I was really disappointed but my hubby talked me into staying but I will never stay at a Red Roof again; I previously thought they were a decent hotel but I’d be afraid to risk it again.

The service was very bad the TV did not work in the room somebody was playing music till 1:30 in the morning I asked the manager to come look at the TV situation he never came the people never turned off the music till 1:30 in the morning

Property was filthy dirty, door did not lock properly, lamp was broken and had no lightbulb, bed linens were dirty, toilet seat was rusted and not attached to the toilet, carpeting was so dirty, we had to have our card key reactivated everytime we went out, rude front desk, we felt unsafe and had to place a chair by the frontdoor to secure it, air conditioner was so dirty, no ventilation in the bathroom. So horrible!

The jets for the jetted tub didn't work, the faucet dripped none stop, the AC didn't work it was cooler outside then in, the toilet kept running, and when I told the front about the AC the last asked me if I had it on cold then she said someone would go but no one ever came

Looks run down. Does not look or feel safe. Had to have a room change due to unsafe door locks. Tv not working. Best to pay extra 30 to 40 more for a better and safer hotel.

The room was huge, the bed was super comfortable. Recommend and next time imnin long beach ill be staying there again.

Called ahead that we would be checking in late and were told they no longer have our rooms— no prior notification whatsoever. At first someone on staff lied to us and said the A/C’s in many of the double queen bed rooms were broken and they had many cancellations. After further conversation to find a solution and calling again to talk with someone else on staff, we find out they overbooked when they approved an extension and only have single king bed rooms - they wouldn’t even provide another room for the same price as our reservation after they caused the issue (2 double queen bed rooms were needed cuz we had a group of 8 people). After the second call they said they would call back after talking with a manager/supervisor to find a solution. Then 45 minutes later I get an email saying the hotel canceled our reservation. We were originally on our way there and then ended up being basically stranded in a city with majority of their hotels being fully booked and scrambling to find hotel for 2 hours in the middle of the night while also traveling with young kids. Really left us to fend for ourselves

When we tried to check in they wouldn’t let my husband check in due to them trying to charge us 3 days before our check in. I had to go in and tell them 2 separate times that I put pay at property. Then everyday we were there ( 7 days) after 11 our room card would stop working so we’d have to go back to get it fixed every single day. When husband let them know the male that works there at night said “I might fix it tomorrow” and sent him back. The problem was never fixed. I had a baby in a stroller I had to carry upstairs 2 times a trip to get that fixed with asthma. Never again.

The Gentleman at The Front Desk on This Day of Stay Is Always Kind and Professional. He Always Make Sure Our Stay is Well. My Wife and I Have Had Some Unfortunate Experiences but, When He’s There It Has Always Been a Better Stay…

Paying the deposit was a hassle and I had to literally pull out my email to verify they took it out of my account. Sign was up that they'd be back in 15 minutes and who knows how long it was up before we arrived for our 3 o'clock check in. Other than that it was great.

I paid a cash deposit to this location and I have not received it. I've contacted the third party where my room was booked yet they cannot contact them back horrible service and communication.

Lobby staff was nice. I stayed here for 3 days and not ONCE did they come to clean and change the sheets! I would leave for the day and come back and nothing was done, but too late to have someone clean. Front lobby didn’t do much just apologized.

I booked this property on Expedia. I already paid for the room . What they don’t tell you is when you check in you are required to pay cash or card a $50 dollar refundable deposit . Then it took 3xs to go downstairs to get a card to my room cuz the one I had didn’t work . Finally the clerk came and saw my keys were not working . Remind you my room is on the second floor . So she gave me another room . I was so annoyed .

Please please please don’t waste your money here. Staff is EXTREMELY rude. I had called last week before flying in and asked if i could store my bags due to getting in so early and check in being at 3pm. The guy said yes thats not a problem just grab them when i come back to check in. My friend and I get there and the lady at the counter was very rude telling me no we don’t do that and maybe the guy that told me that was knew but she wouldn’t be allowing it. So i asked if I could possibly have an earlier check in and was immediately told no that wont be happening either. So I wait there until 3 finally check in and the room is filthy. Stains all over the wall, hole in the bathroom wall, stains all over the bed and only one lock on the door that could be easily opened from the outside of the door. The area its self is NOT safe. While waiting for check in time there were two different guys at two different times that approached me trying to get me to “kick it with him”. They wouldn’t give me a refund even though I was only there the three hours to wait to check in. Please dont waste your time staying here. Just save your money.

Do NOT stay here. Walls are paper thin. People running and screaming all hours of the night, multiple cop visits just within the 3 days i was there to arrest people.

Upon our arrival on Friday night, we observed a carload of gangsters checking in right in front of us. They appeared to have hookers and drugs with them, and insisted on paying for two rooms in cash. I didn’t even know that you could do this these days. We told the lady that was doing the check in that we had made a mistake and asked to cancel our reservation. This place is very sketchy and we would never feel safe here. We would like a refund please.

The area was bit dirty. It does not feel safe to be alone.

Bailed on reservation. Was a terrifying looking neighborhood and property. As two females we didn’t feel safe. Found other accommodations

Room ordered wasn’t available and then was given the worst room, stated by front desk staff, but was believed to be a upgrade but I reserved a deluxe king and was given a bare room with no amenities, breakfast wasn’t even available as stated would be, and shower wasn’t working and tub was horrible, and dirty, looked as if it wasn’t cleaned in a while

The pictures of the Rooms and Coffee/Breakfast area did not match the photos on Expedia or the Red Roof inn website. The room did not have a coffee pot, a telephone that worked, no lamps. There was not a breakfast area or coffee in their building. The management said they haven\'t been serving coffee or breakfast since Covid started, which was 4 years ago. They did state that the was a Starbucks down the road and I should go there to get coffee. I only stayed at the Red Roof Inn because of the FALSE ADVERTIZING pictures on the websites. I will never stay there again and may not stay with Red Roof Inn again. Please update your website to remove the pictures of the breakfast area and rooms that are FALSE ADVERTIZING. I also had to get the room key reset after leaving the room and lot in the morning and returning in the evening. The tenants around me were noisy in their rooms on both sides and below my room. I also heard one of the tenants from below saying she was going to call 911 on her "boyfriend" who would not give her the keys back to her vehicle which was parked in the parking lot. It was from the room and the parking lot. It started about 9am in the morning and continued as I left and returned in the afternoon. It was still going on when I left in the early evening. The hood of the vehicle was raised and still parked in the parking lot when I returned that night. It was quiet night, and the vehicle was still there when I left for good at 6am.
