Hyatt House LAX Century Blvd

The hotel was clean, room was nice and comfortable, but the shuttle service (lack of) really messed up our experience. They say the shuttle runs every 20 to 30 min.. We waited at the airport for 1.5hrs with heavy bags, after a 6 hr flight, and had to call 3 times for the shuttle. In 1.5hrs, the shuttle rolled by once and didnt even bother to stop by tbe shuttle signs, despite us waiving. That was very frustrating. The next morning we had to catch an early flight, and they said the shuttle was 10 to 15 min away, so we just caught an Uber.. $40 that we felt we shouldn't have had to pay. Mind you, the airport is like less than 10 min away, and not as many ppl staying at Hyatt House as other hotels. If getting back and forth to the airport in a timely manner is important, Hyatt Regency had a shuttle coming like every 5 min. The shuttle thing really messed the experience up for me.

Ended up having to walk. Offered online check in but never sent a confirmation. So basically a hotel attempting to run by automated technology that doesnt work and no in person phone available. Called 3 times, phone rang over 10 min total with no answer.

We stayed 3 nights. The first night was good. Breakfast the next day was packed. They had 2 employees directing the line that went down to the front desk. The other 2 days breakfast was fine, no line. Parking was $45/day with in/out privileges but they had airport parking upper floors for cheaper. But parking was a pain. Hard to get and tight. The parking garage elevator stopped working the last 2 days. The thing that annoyed us the most was that the power would go on/off our last 2 days. They sent a maintenance technician but nothing was fixed. So randomly showering or using the bathroom …. Power goes out and maybe 10 minutes later comes back on. It was aggravating. Other than that, the rooms are large, comfortable, and clean. Breakfast was good with variety. Loved the hot tub and pool. Close to Kia forum, sofi, and airport.

Super friendly staff. Great facilities. The perfect place to stay for airport convenience. The only strange thing is that there’s no information in the room or signs to tell you where the fitness center and pool are. We found them after we asked at the desk (and the gym is super nice).

Airport shuttle service was terrible . Had selected this hotel since it is really near LAX and had shuttle service, but had to wait for the shuttle at the airport for over 45 minutes even though it was 11:30pm and there was no traffic. I just kept seeing the same shuttles from other hotels pass by. On the following morning the same issue leaving the hotel. I had left with more than enough time to catch a flight but also had to wait about 50 minutes with a lot of other guests for the shuttle. During this time a shuttle from this hotel arrived but driver told us she was on a break and parked beside us while not caring that all of the people there were now worried about losing their flights. I desperately went and spoke with Sergio who was at the front desk and he didn’t care to even lift a finger to try to help. Many were considering calling a taxi but it was already too late for that. Because of this we barely made it to catch our flight and the whole situation was unnecessarily extremely stressful.

The hotel was excellent. The room comfortable. It is right next to the airport and our room faced the runways. We needed to put on white noice to cover the planes landing and taking off. The airport shuttle was not well organized. We waited over an hour at the airport to be picked up. Other hotel shuttles made three rounds before Hyatt Place made one. On the trip back to the airport we sat on the shuttle for 20 minutes while the driver chatted with a friend. We had to call the front desk on both trips to get the driver moving. The shuttle picks and drops off in an alley behind the hotel and this seems like an out of sight out of mind place for the drivers to chat instead of transporting guests. Other than the airport shuttle (which was vital for us) the hotel was top shelf.

Just the best hotel! What a beautiful room with kitchenette.Very modern. Breakfast is great, and rooftop pool is amazing. Great shuttle service from LAX. Luxury!

This property should work 24/7 on getting the front driveway open. No access due to "city approvals" and only illegal access to cars. Airport transport uses a back entrance which isn't safe due to other truck traffic and you stand in wait near a stinking dumpster. (09/19/25) We went to Sonesta next door for dinner, that was good. Breakfast buffet was rightly priced at $11 and food options were good. Booked on Expedia, fair price for the night. Overall, not a bad decision, but, get that driveway open!

Everything was great, except people smoking pot in the elevator and on our floor. It smelled awful.

Its August and I checked in at 10PM and received a room. I got in the room and there was a strong curry odor along with a RestorAir Air Purifier. It’s to treat the room of a strong odor which did not make the smell go away and it’s extremely loud. The AC did not work and I told the staff and they said they’d have their engineer look at it. The number they attach on the paper to text was useful in the beginning then they stopped responding completely after numerous attempts about the AC not working. Me and my family slept in the room and it was uncomfortably humid and hot. We woke up, I called and complained in person to the front desk. They said the same engineer bit. Hours passed and I went down to the front desk again and finally saw the engineer and front desk staff interact. They called me and said the part for the AC is being shipped and gave me a new room. My first night/day there was quite ridiculous. How can you give someone a room where the AC doesn’t work in the summertime? There’s a strong odor alongside a loud tank of an air purifier. The staff response time was horrible. My clothes smelt like curry. The temperature outside and in the hallway was cooler than my room. The new room was good but man was it a rough time for me and my family considering we stayed here for only two nights. The bed is comfortable, the sofa bed is not. The elevator worked quite well. Lobby bathrooms was dirty. The walkway from the shuttle to the hotel smelt like garbage.

We arrived later than expected due to our delayed flights and found that our room had been changed to an accessible friendly room (which we were not needing). Over booking caused multiple people to sleep in the lobby on the couches. Our bed had blood stained sheets. Was unfortunate to have happen after such a long travel day.

Clean and spacious room.

The staff was excellent! The beds are comfortable and hotel is clean and efficient. Check in was easy. My only complaints would be there was absolutely no cell phone signal in our room. We had to go to the lobby to get cell service. Our “window” was a frosted piece of glass with a curtain in front of it. It didn’t appear to even go towards the outside. If this was the case, there was only one exit out of our room in case of a fire.

I didn’t know it was even legal to have a hotel room with no window to the outside world. We checked out a day early in large part to that and how stuffy the room was. Oh and we tried to check in 3:45 but our room hadn’t been “inspected” A couple next to us with no reservation however was able To book a room and get their room key at that same time. I’m not sure what’s included in the typical room inspection but for what it’s worth we had to line the trash can with the trash bag that was left there nearly folded for us and replace the tub drain that was laying in the tub. But the room with no window to the outside…that was a new one.

The room suited our family of 5, but there was no window and internet service in the room was horrible. The staff in person were helpful but it was impossible to get through to someone on the phone to ask for early check in. We also tried to ask for late checkout through the hotel phone in the room but it went to a recording and just rang. Everything was automated. Convenient shuttle to the airport.

The room is spacious but somehow we are near to a generator and the mirror in our room kept vibrating the whole day.

I could hear the noise from next room very well. The room had no soundproofing at all, so there was absolutely no privacy

Great spacious room with accessories and more. Beds were nice and comfy. The only downside preventing 5 stars was very loudly blowing ac which was either full on or off. LAX Shuttle was great plus. Clocked it 8 to and 3 min back to airport.

Water pressure was weak

We stayed on level 3. The windows and walls have terrible sound proofing and we heard loud noise from outside and conjoining rooms all night

STAYED IN A STRANGE ROOM WITHOUT A WINDOW. SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN SOMEWHAT UPDATED, BUT NOT ENTIRELY. CARPET IN HALLWAY WAS REALLY UGLY AND I THOUGHT IT HAD BEEN PULLED UP SHOWING CONCRETE, BUT IT TURNED OUT TO BE CARPET, BUT REALLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED

What a great hotel! The hotel is modern and clean. As a family of 6 we loved the room that was able to accomodate us comfortably. The room had two beds + sofa bed and a kitchen. The kitchen had everything if you wanted to cook. Loved the breakfast buffet which had great options, was free, and helped us not spend time looking for breakfast options. All the staff was very friendly. We asked for extra towels and blankets each day and they were quick to bring them to our room. The hotel is very near LAX airport. Excellent option for very early flights. We didn't use the airport shuttle but they do have it available.

We booked a 2 queen bed suite, prepaid and even informed them of late arrival after midnight. When we arrived, they said they overbooked, gave away our room and tried to downgrade us to Hyatt Place next door to a regular room. Told us yes it was a downgrade and I had to deal with Hotels.com later for the rate difference So we had no choice but to take a suite with 1 King and sofa bed. My hubby snores and he couldn't sleep at all on a sofa bed the whole night. We asked to switch the next day. It looks like a room with 2 beds but not quite the size of a suite. Anyway. The bathroom shower curtain has mildew and there is no hot water in the shower. Also, when we got dropped off by their airport shuttle, the male driver told us he could only dropped us on the road behind the hotel. So we had to drag our luggage to the hotel for about 5 mins. We booked our return stay at this hotel already through Hotels.com, hopefully, they won't give away our prepaid suite again next time. Coffee was good at breakfast though.

Went to check in at 4 pm but had to wait until 630 to actually get a room! Apparently their club members can request late checkouts of 4pm which leaves housekeeping no time for turn around. The lobby was FULL of people and luggage waiting for their room to be cleaned.

The shuttle from the airport was quick and the driver was courteous. We were able to check in early with no additional charge. The staff, at check in, was very friendly and helpful. The room is very spacious and clean. The bed is very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a great selection of food. The eating area was very clean. Check out was easy and the shuttle to the airpirt was prompt. We stayed one night to connrct with our cruise the next day. We would stay again.

Convenient location but hotel failed to clean room and replace towels for 3 days after reminding front desk.

Staff were very friendly, there was always someone around to help. The rooms were nice, spacious, and clean. Breakfast buffet was helpful and I would definitely stay again.

Arrived at the hotel at 10PM. Computer system was giving them problems. Couldn’t get a room key till 12pm. Didn’t ask for any compensation. Following morning I asked for a 2pm check out. Charged me fifty dollars for the late check out. Proper thing to do would have been to comp that due to the extremely late check in.

Front desk was so nice and helpful at check in. Unfortunately couldn’t reach anyone by phone to ask for additional blankets for the couch so we went down to lobby. We were then told they’d be sent to our room and still never received. Was only there for the night before an early flight so I didn’t insist any further.

How close it’s to the airport!

Very convenient for an overnight stay while transiting through LAX. Good shuttle service. Good breakfast inclusion. Will recommend this hotel for short stays. The only downside is the noise from the aircrafts as the hotel is located very close to the runways. I was happy to put up with a bit of noise if I wanted the convenience of getting to and from the airport quickly.

Close to airport and can hear the planes taking off and landing. Besides that, convenient location and clean hotel.

It was great, I stayed in a king size bed, one night it included breakfast which was great with plenty of food options as it was a buffet, the room was updated and clean, close to the LAX airport, free shuttle from LAX to the hotel and from the hotel back to LAx, very convenient. The area was not so great, I didn’t feel safe walking around the are as there’s no nearby shopping centre walking distance. No shampoo or conditioner provided.

Loved our stay. Even though it was just one night due to travel, enjoyed it. They offer shuttle to/from airport every 20-30 min 24/7. There’s also free breakfast. Beds are so comfortable!! Very nice clean hotel highly recommend.

Very convenient overnight stay at LAX including terminal to hotel shuttle. Very clean and inviting facility with terrific free breakfast.

Spacious room with a comfy bed and great facilities around. The only downside was a weak shower despite being spacious. The gym was well equipped and the bar/restaurant was also great with friendly staff and good food, though expensive. Breakfast was decent. The whole reception area is beautiful, clean and efficient with a small shop. The free shuttle to the airport was ideal. Would highly recommend.

Breakfast was very good.

We stayed in a suite and it was nice: It includes a full-sized fridge, microwave, a cook-top, lots of cabinetry and a pullout. However, our room was not available until an hour or two after check-in (although the hotel provided us with a $50 hotel credit for that). Also, it didn't seem we had as many options for breakfast as we did during our last stay, six months ago, and (to me) the food wasn't as good.

Great hotel. The suite was perfect for a family. Rooftop pool was fun! To note, breakfast is not included for free unless you are a certain tier in their rewards program. With 3 kids, ‘breakfast included’ was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel, as it was convenient before an early flight. Otherwise, the food from the restaurant was great and the facilities were nice!

I’ve stayed here several times; however, the breakfast wasn’t as good. I suggest a new vendor/chef as the coffee didn’t taste well (after taste), the eggs were salty, the waffles were hard and fruit was just melon with a few grapes mixed in. My daughter dissing even want to finish her coffee. I wasn’t impressed with the breakfast the last couple of times either. My room was lovely and everything else superb. Please reconsider your breakfast for a five-star stay. Also, the deposit is $100, but Expedia kept sending us notices $150. The front desk rep mentioned they have tried to fix the sec dep account with Expedia on numerous occasions, but the info doesn’t get fixed. Maybe this post will?

Check in was fast and the clerk was very nice. Shuttle services at LAX are always busy but not the hotel's fault. Breakfast had plenty of options and very good coffee.

I don’t know if there was breakfast. I didn’t eat it at the hotel. I did have dinner though and it was overpriced but pretty good.
