Sanborn Guest House

Sanborn House was perfect for my needs. The host was very personable, and did a great job giving me a tour and explaining the amenities and expectations. The bed was great, and the AC unit /ceiling fan worked well to keep me comfortable. Highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed my 5-day stay at Sanborn Guest House. Gary and Jaime have thought of everything you need for your stay. They are wonderful hosts and really knowledgeable about the local area. I stayed in the Sanborn Room, which is very comfortable and decorated with eclectic items from Gary and Jaime's travels. It's good having the separate sitting area with a lounge, a couple of chairs, and a coffee table, as well as access to the shared kitchen. The off-street secure parking is a bonus as street parking in the area is very tight. The location is top-notch - the street itself is really quiet and safe but it's only a block away from Santa Monica Boulevarde so only a few minutes walk to a diverse range of quality restaurants, cafes and shops. Los Feliz and the lake are also within walking distance. DTLA, Hollywood, Griffith Observatory/Park, Dodger Stadium are all within 10-15 min drive. Would definitely stay again.

On a hill so if you are mobility impaired may need to consider a flatter more accessible alternative, otherwise it’s an excellent location.
