The hotel itself is fine. Clean, pretty. It is old of course, rooms are small, elevators are small, and the ac unit ran the entire time (which you need when it's 90 degrees outside of course, but hearing it all night is kind of unpleasant). Had breakfast one morning and it was fine, albeit overpriced for what it is. The staff in the kitchen was wonderful and bright and attentive. With that however, the rest of the staff between the front desk and valet were awful. We were met with such crude attitudes, unhelpful demeanors, and just left to feel like they could absolutely not be bothered by having us in their space. Customer service makes or breaks a place and this experience was less than palatable.

This was supposed to be a high-end hotel, but it wasn’t. The prices are high, and the quality is low. The window blinds didn't work and needed to be replaced; the clock didn't work; and the sliding bathroom door wouldn't shut all the way, as if it were off the rails. Plus, we paid an extra $25 for an additional person, reserving for three, but they only supplied one washcloth and 1 hand towel. In addition, one of the valet staff got mud all over the inside of my car on the driver's side. Not impressed!
