My husband and I stayed for a long weekend. The city view is incredible and breathtaking. We lucked out on a couple of sunny days and could see the lake very clearly. The place was spacious and comfortable. It had everything we needed from a fully stocked kitchen with nice pots/pans to a coffee maker with filters, extra towels, Kleenex boxes, directTV for watching football. Access to the gym and the outdoor pool was also really nice. This place is in an incredible location with amazing restaurants and groceries nearby. Eataly was just down the street and it’s a great place to pick up fresh cheese, bread and produce if you want something nicer than the couple of local grocery stores. Right out the door is access to the L train, which was so easy to get around town. Very close walk to the river. The owners were very easy to communicate with, and very quick to respond. This gets our highest recommendation, and we would go back in a heartbeat, and stay here again.

We stayed for a week. The place was beautiful and the view was spectacular, especially at night. The building has amenities galore: pool, gym, BBQ area, and a grocery store 3 steps from the entry door. The hosts were great - they gave very explicit directions that made check in and check out a breeze. The washer and dryer were a great plus! The shower had strong water pressure too. We did a walking murder mystery tour that was great, had drinks at Chicago 360 and saw the bean - all within walking distance. All in all it was a fantastic trip.

We had an absolutely amazing stay on the 52nd floor of this condo in downtown Chicago! The view of the city and lake was breathtaking, especially during the air and water show—we had front-row seats to the Blue Angels buzzing the skyline. The unit was exactly as described—clean, well-stocked, and super comfortable. The building amenities were top-notch; we spent a ton of time relaxing by the pool. Overall, it was a perfect getaway, and we can't wait to come back!

We took our county kid grandson for a long weekend trip to the big city. The panoramic view from this lovely penthouse was PERFECT.The penthouse was very nice. The added extras like the library and gym were just a huge bonus. Location was great for our planned excursions.

My husband and I stayed at this property just before Christmas. Location is ideal - easy walking to the Mag Mile and tons of restaurants as well as the theatre district. Building was great with lots of amenities - definitely recommend.

This is a really remarkable property. The view from the floor-to-ceiling windows will have your jaw on the floor from the moment you walk in. The enormous wrap-around outdoor patio 51 stories up will take your breath away. The amenities in the building, including gym/sauna/steam room/pool/grill area are all first-rate. Parking was seamless, and the neighborhood was great as a tourist. The apartment was quiet, spacious and comfortable. Air conditioning was very effective. Fireplace an unexpected but nice touch. Kitchen had everything we needed to easily prepare meals and snacks when we wanted to have a quiet night in or a home-cooked breakfast. This was a vacation to remember thanks to this exceptional property. I'll be looking for any excuse to come back and stay here again.

Visiting with my husband and son for our first trip to Chicago, we were absolutely blown away walking into this spacious, beautiful, oasis in the sky! The city views from the huge balcony were breathtaking. The location can't be beat with many wonderful restaurants, a grocery store, and the red line right outside the door. Within walking distance to many attractions. The communication with the owners Jim and Jeri-Lou was excellent, and it is evident the pride and care they put into their properties. Every detail was thought of from a fully stocked kitchen, bathroom amenities, office supplies, tissue boxes, washer and dryer with detergent and dryer sheets. Not a detail was missed! We played several games of pool and basketball on the amenities floor. The gym and pool looked wonderful as well. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Can't say enough, we will definitely be back to this amazing property!

Penthouse 5107 is a family trip we’ll all remember fondly, and staying in this penthouse apartment at Grand Plaza is a big part of that. Coming from the west coast with two young kids makes for a long day of travel, and the thorough and quick turnaround pre-stay communications with the property owner gave us confidence evening check-in would go smoothly, and it did. Highlights of this property are the skyline and lake views, including watching the Navy Pier fireworks on Wednesday and Saturday nights. The apartment is beautiful, lobby staff are terrific, and indoor workout facilities are far better than most hotels. Rooftop pool is a rockin’ scene on summer weekends, with lots of pool deck, cabanas, bbqs, etc. Glad we chose this VRBO instead of a hotel.

This building has great amenities and great location. And the unit has great views. However there were a couple of things that were substandard for the price and quality of building and location: the unit has carpet throughout and it’s really dirty. Also the towels were cheap Walmart towels. Also note that the bed is a queen (which is how it’s advertised). But plenty of room for a king bed. And would be expected for a “penthouse”. Other than that we enjoyed the stay.

Had a great time visiting Chicago and the location is perfect - close to everything. My husband and I walked everywhere. The place is clean and the owners responded quickly to any questions we had. We will definitely stay here again.

Honestly, this place was great! The pictures dont do it justice. The place was immaculately clean, which is one thing you can never be sure of. I would recommend this place to anyone and will likely be staying again in the future. The hosts were very informative, and had plenty of communication from start to finish. I'm sure they are very responsive, but I never needed anything because they have every detail covered. I never once needed to get in touch with them. I would recommend this place to anyone and will likely be staying again in the future.

The condo was a perfect home base for our family of 4 on Spring Break in Chicago. It was a beautiful view from the floor-to-ceiling windows both during the daytime and at night! The location was awesome - in the heart of downtown, and right above a grocery store. The condo was fully equipped with everything we possibly needed. It was clean and well appointed. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again next time!!

The property was clean, comfortable and well stocked. We stayed for four days to see the sights and this was a great home base. Easy walk to a variety of restaurants. Visiting in February, made the price more of a value. Turning on the fireplace and watching it snow from the 51st floor might have been even better than swimming in the pool anyway.

A big, beautiful, immaculate, wonderfully furnished space 51 floors above the city. Everything in the owner\'s description is true. Watching the sun rise over the lake from that height was a treat. Also being able to walk to restaurants, Navy Pier, river tours, great blues clubs, plus hop the subway just a few doors away. The door staff was very helpful in stashing our luggage on both sides of our stay (be sure to "show them some kindness" for that service).

It was an amazing location for sure! There were so many nice touches from the ample number of outlets/places to charge, the plentiful kleenex boxes, the kitchen amenities and even a fan. We felt right at home and literally needed nothing. Thank you so much for making this past week exactly what we needed!

Well maintained and comfortable property, great central location, easy walk to the riverfront, museums, and downtown activities and restaurants. Fantastic city views from the huge balcony (unit 5107), although there's no furniture out there to sit on.

I'm in Chicago for work on a regular basis and usually stay at a mid level Hilton or Marriot property. This time I decided to extend my work trip through the weekend so my gf could join for a "Christmas in the City" weekend, and booked this condo instead of the usual cookie cutter hotel. I'm so glad I did so. The condo was perfectly sized/accessorized for us, the dining/shopping/entertainment options within walking distance are endless, super helpful and friendly door staff, clear communications/expectations from the owners, nice gym/amenities on the 9th floor. And walkable to anywhere I needed to go for work (central Loop and Fulton Market). And OMG the views and the balconey! The condo itself is not flashy or super lux, but the views of the lake and skyline made us feel like we were living the high life (literally and figuratively). Especially the pre-dawn view of the eastern horizon well before sun-up - truly priceless. So 5 stars all around - I will definitely look at this property (and the others owned by James and Jeri-Lou) for future visits.

The incredible views and friendly doormen added a positive touch. However, the non-functional cable TV was a letdown. It's frustrating when trying to relax or wait for others. Thankfully, WiFi saved the day, allowing us to use our phones.

Parking was seamless, and the neighborhood was great as a tourist. The apartment was quiet, spacious and comfortable. Air conditioning was very effective. Fireplace an unexpected but nice touch. Kitchen had everything we needed to easily prepare meals and snacks when we wanted to have a quiet night in or a home-cooked breakfast. This was a vacation to remember thanks to this exceptional property. I'll be looking for any excuse to come back and stay here again.

Booked this property for a long weekend stay in Chicago. Walking in to the unit, we were blown away at how gorgeous the property was. The views are absolutely breathtaking. We though the view during the day was beautiful - but then seeing it at night...just absolutely stunning. Seeing the moon reflected off the water was a sight we will always remember. Loved waking up in the morning while it was still dark out, turning on the fireplace, and watching the sun rise. Would absolutely stay here again, highly recommend, 10/10.

Also being able to walk to restaurants, Navy Pier, river tours, great blues clubs, plus hop the subway just a few doors away. The door staff was very helpful in stashing our luggage on both sides of our stay (be sure to "show them some kindness" for that service).

This is our second but last stay here. The communication is very bad. I asked questions before we arrive to make sure that we booked the exact same unit because they have more units in the same building and some other review said their unit was mixed up. No reply. They only start to communicate with you for standard checkin/checkout instructions as you get closer, and chase you down for your personal info. If you expect communication regarding what you need, you will be disappointed. After we check out, I received a complain from them about not able to clean stains off sheets and therefore charged my card for over a hundred dollar due to the stains. I tried to contact them and discuss. No response at all. They operate like a corporation with zero customer service. I think that I deserve better next time.

We stayed for a week. The place was beautiful and the view was spectacular, especially at night. The building has amenities galore: pool, gym, BBQ area, and a grocery store 3 steps from the entry door. The hosts were great - they gave very explicit directions that made check in and check out a breeze. The washer and dryer were a great plus! The shower had strong water pressure too. We did a walking murder mystery tour that was great, had drinks at Chicago 360 and saw the bean - all within walking distance. All in all it was a fantastic trip.

Honestly, this place was great! The pictures dont do it justice. The place was immaculately clean, which is one thing you can never be sure of. I would recommend this place to anyone and will likely be staying again in the future. The hosts were very informative, and had plenty of communication from start to finish. I'm sure they are very responsive, but I never needed anything because they have every detail covered. I never once needed to get in touch with them. This is an amazing place!! First of all, for visitors it's close to many of the things you would want to do in Chicago. We live an hour or so away in the suburbs, but my wife loves the city skyline so I decided to book this for her birthday. It's much better than any hotel! The hosts are very helpful and responsive. There are a lot of instructions on entering and parking, but their directions were perfect and we had no trouble finding the place or checking in. The doorman was friendly and so were the other people who stayed in the building. If you are searching for a place to stay just book it!!

Best Chicago vacation! Great walkable location, red line subway right at the corner connects to all elevated “L” lines in the downtown Loop tracks, walk to Magnificent Mile and 360 bldg. The subway was safe and fun for me and my teenage girls to experience- a must do. It was important to have a full kitchen to save on eating out 3 times a day, fantastic High Floor views, parking in bldg and knowledgeable tips from the host to plan our stay. We parked and walked or took the subway/“L” to avoid parking fees at destinations. Bldg parking was easy and convent, safe location, clean, well stocked needed items in bath, laundry and kitchen, grocery store at corner, all a + + +. The condo was open, airy, inviting, and the glow of a fire place was another plus. We did the river boat tour at dark with the city a glow in January! So Beautiful! So Much Fun! A huge THANK YOU to the HOSTS for this wonderful experience and memory for my family.

This is our 2nd stay at Grand Plaza. The location is central to many attractions within walking distance. You cant beat the city and lake view from the 52nd floor! The condo itself was well stocked, even with cotton balls and Q-tips!

I really can't say enough about this property. Beautiful views, fully equipped home with everything you need.The location was amazing and close to all that we love to do. The red line was literally right outside the door and the grocery store on the first floor was so convenient especially in the sub zero weather.The space was very cozy and the fireplace was a special touch. We loved sitting by the fire with a glass of wine looking out at the water and city views.We will definitely stay here again next time we come to the Windy City.

Best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in! Of course the view was amazing as all the reviews say it did not disappoint. My wife is OCD on cleanliness and she was super impressed at how clean it was. Check in and check out was super simple and communication was great. The place had everything we needed it was just super nice and quiet and relaxing we will definitely be looking to come back here again in the future!

THE VIEW!! Great location and so walkable to everything or even better the subway station is literally steps away from the door & takes you anywhere you want to go! As a single mom traveling with three kids I absolutely loved this place. Safe and secure. And I can’t explain how amazing the view is from that balcony - you just have to see it for yourself. It’s like you can reach out and touch the buildings and it is so amazing — especially with the Lake Michigan view to your right side as well. We visited for our Christmas trip so the fireplace was an absolute bonus. The only thing I wish was added is Christmas decor in the apartment during the holiday season. That would be so festive! It is stocked with everything you need - spices, plenty of towels, everything you need to cook with and more.The only con I would mark about this place is the carpet - if that were updated to wood floors it would make it all the better. There is a draft that comes through the hallway front door when the elevator is in motion. It is not a bother, but it did catch me off guard until I figured out what it was.Don’t hesitate to rent this place, it is worth it!
