My stay at this particular Holiday Inn Express was on the 3rd floor in room 325. Opened the door and got into my room, the room was clean and the AC worked well . The first thing I noticed is that the coffee pot was missing, no big deal I don’t drink coffee, went down to the pool and noticed no shade and the tables that at one time had umbrellas were gone, with the jagged edge of the posts still sticking through the middle of the table, then I noticed the trash laying around the pool. Went back to my room to get cleaned up and that’s when I noticed that door had been damaged like someone kicked it in our used pry bars or something to get in. The hotels owners idea of a repair was to put the upper swing lock back to the metal door frame with sheet rock screws. It was still loose and you could open the door by, opening the door. The tv also wasn’t working so I called the front desk and requested another room considering the lock situation, she was going to put me on the first floor but was going to come up and look at it, she asked me if the linens were still good and I said yes but I’ve used the towels in the bathroom, so we went from getting another room to stay in the room I was in or find another hotel, since this one was paid for I stayed but I find it very odd they asked about the linens, seems like they were going to move me and put somebody else in this room. Needless to say this place gets very low marks and we won’t ever stay here again. Be aware of your surroundings.

Very pleasant stay! From pleasant, welcoming staff to a very spacious and clean room! We will definitely be staying at more Holiday Inn Expresses, especially this one when we return to another concern in the area.
