The Mermaid & The Alligator

This is a lovely high standard B&B within walking distance of the old town. The atmosphere was excellent and the help faultless. I guess if I was to look for a fault it would be trivial but a kettle in the room would be nice. The breakfasts were excellent.

Very quaint and nice

Clean rooms, wonderful gardens, friendly staff.

The room was very clean and grounds were shaded and very nice. The only issue I had was the size of our room, we stayed in the "Key Lime" room and it was so small you could barely move around. Perhaps the other rooms are bigger, but would not recommend this room if you like room to move. The hotel was within walking distance to almost everything and the hotel has bikes you can rent which was really nice. The daily happy hour was a nice touch, would suggest you add some beer rather than just wine to give guests a choice.

The room and grounds were fine. Lovely. No cheese in an omelet?? Dry toast, no butter?? If you can’t properly do breakfast, then don’t bother at all. So disappointing. We sent our daughter and son-in-law there for their honeymoon. It was supposed to be a special treat!
