Lake Placid Inn Boutique Hotel

Everything was great here. Check in was easy and the staff were all wonderful. The two ladies at the breakfast kept everything super clean. The hotel had a nice smell and was immaculate. I liked my room which was the basic 2 beds. The guy at check in gave great advice on where to eat. The location is wonderful, right across from the lake. This is not really a complaint as I enjoy talking the stairs, but the evevator was preety slow (that's really the only area of improvement I can think of).

Very new property. Great local at the end of mirror lake where there's public swimming. There were several negative things that lowered my rating. The room was very sterile with NO pictures on the walls. The shower floor was VERY slippery. . The last thing is that parking was a mess . When we arrived there were NO parking places available. The lady said there is no quarantee that parking was available and first come first served! They did have extra parking at their other property which was quite a distance away( about a quarter of a mile away).

Comfy beds, exceptionally clean, simplistic decor, 24 hr coffee/tea/water. Complimentary breakfast was typical. Just across the street from tennis courts, beach access, and just a stroll to all the shops & restaurants. 20 minutes from Algonquin Peak trailhead. No complaints and would stay there again.

I was surprised on how big the room was when we entered. Lots of space and even the bathroom was spacious. Lots of parking amd close enough to main street where you can walk. The breakfest in the morning was only ok. Everything was tempted but not superhot. The one nice thing is that they offer coffee, tea 24/7. I would definitely recommend to stay here.

Everything was great. The staff was very helpful! Within walking distance of Lake Placid shops, restaurants and attractions. My only thing was trying to access the fitness room. My card wouldn’t open it up. I had to get someone from the front desk to open it for me. One of them told me that my card shouldn’t open this room. Didn’t understand that one.

Great location, good breakfast, very clean with the exception of the bed sheets, 2 long black hairs on the king and one on the pull out couch. Just enough to gross you out. Spoke to the desk clerk in the morning, just to mention it for future guests, that the person making the beds should tie their hair back. He said linen service is not in-house. It doesn't matter, the person making the beds shouldn't miss obvious long black hair sitting on top of the bed sheets in full view. Of course we removed them and checked all the sheets and pillows cases, however, not a restful nights sleep. You can't unsee long black hair on your bed sheets. And no apology from the man at the desk.

hotel was super clean!!! Nice accommodations with lovely view. Enjoyed our couple nights. Bed was comfortable Staff was engaging & friendly and very helpful Would stay again & would recommend this spot to friends and family!!! Excellent stay 5 stars all the way⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rooms and common areas were very clean. Hotel front desk staff were very kind and very helpful directing us to shops, restaurants and tourist spots. Complimentary breakfast was very good with many different food choices.

Very small but cute hotel in great location. Friendly staff. Great choices at breakfast, which is included. All housekeeping services are available but must be requested, which I wish I knew bc I’m not one to ask for new towels or toiletries. Rooms are nice, but shower is on same level as bathroom floor and often I was cleaning up water, even though I barely moved and I’m not a big person.

The parking lot is VERY small and cramped, one spot per room and don’t drive a truck there. They do not allow dogs at all even therapy dogs. The coffee and breakfast was really below average. Charlie at the front desk was AMAZING as well as the rest of the front desk staff!!

This hotel was centrally located to everything we wanted to do - the Olympic museum, shops, dining, and Mirror Lake. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I would have liked some hooks or towel bar in the bathroom for towels and robes, etc. It could also use more lighting but otherwise, it was fine.

Extremely impressed with this hotel. Conditions, cleanliness, breakfast, service and staff were all simply outstanding. My only less than 5 star rating was for the A/C in the loft in our wonderful, 2 story room. It was uncomfortably hot up there for sleeping, no matter how much I turned down the A/C temp. But I will definitely be back, regardless (and will make my nieces stay in the loft next time, haha).

Overall, this place is fine. It's clean, it's convenient and not expensive. Hard to imagine why they call it a "boutique" hotel - nothing about it is special. Rooms are very bare-bones and undecorated. And the roof soundproofing is non-existant, so if it rains, you will hear it pinging above your head all night.

We enjoyed our stay. Extremely clean and neat. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We got a king deluxe room with a balcony Lake view. The rooms are off center. You can see the lake, but there’s more of a street tennis court view. The balconies are on the first floor, which usually balconies are up on a higher floor. So we were slightly disappointed, but the staff made up for it. They were very helpful and engaging.

Rooms weren’t very insulated. Could hear children crying all through the night. Balcony room description says view of mirror lake which was not true. Paid a lot of extra money per night and the balcony was on first floor overlooking the parking lot. Very disappointed and would not return.

We loved it there but the elevator made a lot of noises while we were using it. There was only one chair in the room.

The walls are too thin! We were woken up at 5:30 each morning by people talking in the hall and hearing every door close.

Everything about our stay was excellent, absolutely no issues with anything. They even upgraded our room without us asking. Extremely clean, staff was courtes and professional. Very good breakfast, easy check-in. Location is ideal, pretty much in the middle of everything. I highly recommend!

We were beyond disappointed in this hotel. When we arrived at 4pm, our room was not ready. The older women at the front desk was absolutely miserable. I very kindly asked her how I would know when to come back since she was unable to give me a specific time, only stating “the room needs to be inspected”. I asked if the hotel could call or text me and she responded “no”. I asked if I should wait and was told “up to you”. I told her I wasn’t trying to cause issues, I just don’t know if I should come back in 2 hours or in 30 mins. She started at me for maybe 30 seconds and told me I should continue to check back with them however often I wanted to understand if the room was done. Additional issues, there is not enough parking at all. All of the spots were taken. I parked on the street and got a parking ticket for $35. The hotel did not care. They directed me to an overflow lot 1/2 a mile a way and told me I could park there. There are no amenities here. Our bathroom was covered in black mold which was surprising considering it’s brand new. I am sensitive to mold and after waking up very congested - decided to talk to the staff. I couldn’t find any staff though. I was so frustrated we ended up leaving and checking into a different hotel, cambria - which was amazing. Everything about this place is disappointing. It’s not a boutique hotel, it’s likely comparable to a motel. Room layout is weird, the faucet in the shower made no sense. I would consider looking elsewhere.

APPLIES TO BOUTIQUE HOTEL: The property appears to be very nice and clean. The issue here is the staff’s unwillingness to help solve issues when something goes awry. When booking the date, the app glitched resulting in the wrong date being booked (reset to next day; I should have double checked so that’s on me). Within an hour or so of booking, I realized it was the next day rather than in February when I originally planned to return to LP. I reached out to Expedia and the hotel to resolve the issue. Expedia tried. The hotel was completely unwilling to find an alternative solution. Re-book? Credit for next stay? Refund then trust that my friends and family will book with you next time? (been there twice in last 4 months and going back in January) I try to be fair and understanding. I only wish they would have done the same… All options were immediately met with a NO.

Great location. The best for the Ironman event. Breakfast included. Great staff. The owners obviously care a lot about their property.

This property is conveniently located; easily walkable to restaurants, walking paths, and shops. The Lake is practically outside the door. The rooms and facility are very nice. My only suggestion would be that desk staff greet the clients as they enter. We stayed for two days and the majority of time, eye contact was minimal if at all and no greetings were made. It was somewhat odd and did not project a welcoming feel.

We stayed 2 nights (2 rooms) and overall our experience was excellent! Super clean, walking distance to many shops/restaurants and the Arena/museum. Free breakfast was a great perk. My only complaint is how late check-in was. Our rooms were not ready even at 4pm! That is kinda crazy and the lady checking us in just kept repeating "check-in is at 4"....which it was after 4 so I couldn't understand why that was her response. One of our 2 rooms wasn't ready until after 530! But even with all of that the rest of or experience was so great...we would stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend!

Check in was delayed for 45 mins after 4pm due to not enough housekeeping staff. Other than that, my stay was great.

The Lake Placid Boutique Inn hotel has alot going for it. 1st the staff was excellent, they were very courteous and helpful When we were checking in there were 3 parties ahead of us. The lady at the desk got all of us checked in within a couple of minutes. The property is located in a great spot, just off Main Street where most of the good shopping and restaurants begin. Our standard room was bigger than most average hotel rooms we've stayed in, with a work area that gave us extra space. The complimentary breakfast was fine. The only slight negative was the limited parking, however we were able to find a spot on the property every time we came in. I will definitely stay here again.

I enjoyed my recent stay at Lake Placid Inn Boutique Hotel. Employees are friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking and a delicious breakfast with plenty of options.

Loved the location One block from Main Street across the street from Mirror Lake beach and Tennis Courts. Nice breakfast and coffee and tea is always available. Our King room faced the parking lot but we didn’t spend much time there.

The breakfast was excellent. I liked the early hours as it allowed hikers to fill up before hitting the trails. The chocolate chips cookies at check in were a nice touch.
