The view was fantastic - getting to the room was challenging due to small staircases. We have been made aware of that (and the noise due to ongoing construction on the property) only after our booking. The location is, however, very nice and close to a public beach, restaurants and shopping.

Location is wonderful and our room was clean, bright and upgraded. Bar was closed.. would have been nice. Can't it be open 7 days a week? At least in the summer?

Nice, clean hotel with beautiful rooms. Business model is slightly different with no front desk and rooms having key pads with codes. Everything is fine via text message and self service. Parking is across the small beautiful park, 2 lots closer to downtown Rockport. We stayed in the Millbrook B condo, which was large and lovely. It has sleeping for 4, 1.5 baths and outdoor seating for 5. It overlooks the beautiful Millbrook Park.

This is a lovely place, clean and bright and fresh-looking. Its location is perfect twice over: overlooking the ocean, and a very short walk to Rockport’s Main Street full of charming shops and galleries. Our room was on the top floor, with a great ocean view and private balcony. Just be aware that there’s no elevator, and the second flight of stairs is quite steep. There is a spacious and attractive common area called the Club Room. When we were there, this appeared mostly unused, with just a self-serve coffee counter on offer. As our stay was in October, we’re curious to know if there is more happening on site in high season.

Beautiful location in a quiet little seaside town. Easy to get into our room. Great community room with games and cozy nooks. Only complaint is that there was no outlets next to the bed to charge a phone or for my husband cpap machine.

We had a beautiful, ocean view room that was very clean and comfortable. We were warned about the ongoing construction/renovation - but this activity really did not bother us at all. The staff that we met were fantastic and went out of their way to accommodate us including allowing us a late check out. Great location, close to everything if you are okay walking. Pictures reflect reality, but be aware, they do not have a bar. The upstairs outdoor area is beautiful - but it's up to you to provide the beverages/books or whatever you please. We would stay here again if visiting Rockport in the future.

Wonderful view of the cove and the beach is right across the street. They even have beach chairs and a pack-n-play in the closet. They also have t-shirts for sale in the club house that are reasonably priced and super soft and comfortable. We bought 3 :-) !!!!! The beds were sooooooo comfortable! There’s a mini fridge, microwave, and single cup Keurig for coffee and tea. We enjoyed every minute being there that we booked another night on our way back down the coast. You can’t go wrong choosing this place! It’s also conveniently located about 25-30 minutes to Salem.

I was there off-season, mid-March. The room and property were in excellent condition. The king-size bed was comfortable and the linens were good quality with extra pillows in the closet. The room had an ocean view, and housekeeping was pristine. Not a crumb or anything else where it shouldn't be. TV and WiFi worked well. The only minor gripes was that I had to use a converter in one of the two accessible AC outlets for USB charging, and the sink is tiny, with a place for your bathroom supplies on a nearby table. The restaurant Feather & Wedge was about a 15 minute walk, and the food and service were excellent. Parking in Rockport is free during March, and if you don't like crowds, that is the time to go. Overall, I highly recommend The Cove at Rockport.

Beautiful location, beautiful view of the ocean! Clean room. everything we needed was provided. Easy check in and out. A wonderful benefit was the opportunity to use the Club room the day we checked out, plus the parking lot. Close to the downtown, an easy walk. Will stay longer next time!

While Rockport is a destination resort town, it becomes very quiet in the evening but close to Gloucester where many entertainment venues are available.

Aside from the filter that needed to be replaced from their AC unit, staff was decent, cleanliness was great. Great location centered in the the town of Rockport, conveniently closer to all the attractions. Be aware, booking recommended straight through the Cove. They have a different check in process. It is contactless. You should receive an email or text instructions how to check in.

The property is absolutely beautiful! Our room as well as all common areas were modern and clean. There are comfortable chairs to sit on deck to see and hear the ocean. Room was stocked with everything you need.

The porch is not your own so to see the " ocean view" , you have to look at random strangers sitting in the " public " porch for 3 rooms! If we don't want people looking in to our bedroom, we need to close the blinds- no more ocean view!! A lady was on the porch until 10pm - basically outside our window! Pictures should indicate this!

The room we stayed in (the basement of the Millbrook cottage) was spacious and clean. The kitchen was relatively well furnished (not a lot of dishes but ok). Overall our stay was pleasant, but we were surprised and disappointed by the level of noise coming from the apartment above us. Clearly this was not the other guests' fault, but rather a design flaw with the cottage. We could hear the neighbors as they got up at 6am every morning and ran around their apartment, and frankly we would not have chosen this place if we had know it would be this noisy.

The location could not have been better! Right on the ocean and walking distance to the shops, coffee and food. Cute and quaint. Will def stay again. This was charming. One note, you can hear right through the walls so bring ear plugs.

1st floor rooms abut a deck that is open to the public during the day. Pics are a bit deceiving. It can get loud in those rooms during the day time. Room 2 has a very squeaky storm door. Room was beautiful though.

The place was nice all redone and new. And parts were still under construction. But the only problem we encountered was the check in process. We could not find anyone when trying to get our room or code to get in. and email check in time and texted time were different times. Other then that all good

We wanted to be on the beach in Rockport so we booked this hotel on the expedia website . The evening prior to checking in the Cove at Rockport sent us a link to upload our personal information. Not wild about uploading private info but i did. They then sent me a link to follow for virtual keys ie codes. It was confusing and frustrating so we called the hotel and had to leave a voicemail. It seems there is no front desk or even in person check in work on the property! They called us back with MORE directions. When we arrived at the front door of the property it was the wrong door . Called again to find out they were in an office at the property but no one came to open please tell….WHY couldn't they simply get up and open the door a few feet away? For all this aggravation we then saw our same exact room #2 on their site for less money per evening for that day and the next nights!!!! Ever feel as though you might have had enough? The Cove itself is clean however small without any amenities on premise even a front desk. Not a bad place to stay once our rate was adjusted. If you would like to stay here make sure you know exactly where your point of entry will be because if you arrive after dark you are screwed!!!!!

We got in very late (11:00 pm) so no attendant. Very dark too. The text instructions for finding our room were confusing as we went to the clubhouse, code didn’t work and then went to blue door. But we loved the room and location.

Aside from the filter that needed to be replaced from their AC unit, staff was decent, cleanliness was great. Great location centered in the the town of Rockport, conveniently closer to all the attractions. Be aware, booking recommended straight through the Cove. They have a different check in process. It is contactless. You should receive an email or text instructions how to check in.

Not a human in site Our Beach view was on the third floor no elevator no help we are elderly and struggled with our luggage on these very narrow steep stairs way way overpriced save your money a real rip off I ended up asking a maid to carry my bag down and she accomodated no room cleaning or freshening glad I brouht my own linens and towels.

The view was fantastic - getting to the room was challenging due to small staircases. We have been made aware of that (and the noise due to ongoing construction on the property) only after our booking. The location is, however, very nice and close to a public beach, restaurants and shopping.

I was there off-season, mid-March. The room and property were in excellent condition. The king-size bed was comfortable and the linens were good quality with extra pillows in the closet. The room had an ocean view, and housekeeping was pristine. Not a crumb or anything else where it shouldn't be. TV and WiFi worked well. The only minor gripes was that I had to use a converter in one of the two accessible AC outlets for USB charging, and the sink is tiny, with a place for your bathroom supplies on a nearby table. The restaurant Feather & Wedge was about a 15 minute walk, and the food and service were excellent. Parking in Rockport is free during March, and if you don't like crowds, that is the time to go. Overall, I highly recommend The Cove at Rockport.

Very clean accommodations, comfortable king bed, with great water views. Step from room to large deck overlooking center beach and easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping at Bearskin Neck. While Rockport is a destination resort town, it becomes very quiet in the evening but close to Gloucester where many entertainment venues are available.

Wonderful view of the cove and the beach is right across the street. They even have beach chairs and a pack-n-play in the closet. They also have t-shirts for sale in the club house that are reasonably priced and super soft and comfortable. We bought 3 :-) !!!!! The beds were sooooooo comfortable! There’s a mini fridge, microwave, and single cup Keurig for coffee and tea. We enjoyed every minute being there that we booked another night on our way back down the coast. You can’t go wrong choosing this place! It’s also conveniently located about 25-30 minutes to Salem.

This is a lovely place, clean and bright and fresh-looking. Its location is perfect twice over: overlooking the ocean, and a very short walk to Rockport’s Main Street full of charming shops and galleries. Our room was on the top floor, with a great ocean view and private balcony. Just be aware that there’s no elevator, and the second flight of stairs is quite steep. There is a spacious and attractive common area called the Club Room. When we were there, this appeared mostly unused, with just a self-serve coffee counter on offer. As our stay was in October, we’re curious to know if there is more happening on site in high season.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cove. We were celebrating a friends birthday. Our accommodations were very comfortable and clean. Dining options were a bit limited due to being off-season. Would highly recommend this property overall.

We had a beautiful, ocean view room that was very clean and comfortable. We were warned about the ongoing construction/renovation - but this activity really did not bother us at all. The staff that we met were fantastic and went out of their way to accommodate us including allowing us a late check out. Great location, close to everything if you are okay walking. Pictures reflect reality, but be aware, they do not have a bar. The upstairs outdoor area is beautiful - but it's up to you to provide the beverages/books or whatever you please. We would stay here again if visiting Rockport in the future.

Beautiful location right on a cove. I got a suite of two rooms with three beds much more than I needed but windows on two sides looking out at the beach and that the Botanical Garden right next to it. Didn't like that there was no breakfast and that it was boutique-style. I was able to walk from the train station

When I arrived at the property, the screen door to my room was locked. Thankfully someone helped me, but I didn't see anyone else. Once I got into the room, it had been freshly painted, which looked great, but the smell of fresh paint was absolutely overpowering. It was hard to sleep in the room even with the window open and the fan going. It should have been aired out before guests arrived. The location was great, but I wasn't crazy about having to walk to my car. I don't know what can be done about that because parking in Rockport is difficult. I enjoyed the deck outside my room very much. Overall it was an okay experience but pricey for what I got. Breakfast would have been nice to have been included.

I was hesitant after reading some of the previous complaints, but booked The Cove on a whim. I absolutely LOVED my stay. It was in a quite, safe neighborhood and we were able to walk anywhere that we needed to go! The view of the beach across the street was wonderful and we loved that we could open the windows and catch the ocean breeze. We felt safe sleeping with the windows open and were never awakened by other guests or traffic noises. Complaints that I reviewed said that they had a difficult time finding the entrance: We walked (2 older women) with ease to the place in the early evening from the train station and found our entrance with ease. Another complaint - this is a self-check in facility. I loved that I didn't have to bother with anyone and the instructions were very easy to follow! I am technically challenged and had NO issues. Unexpected bonus - there is a filtered water refill in the downstairs "club house'. We also had a wonderful selection of simple breakfast come and go items that worked great for grabbing and eating lunch later at a restaurant. We actually appreciated the fact that this was a sleepy town as things do close relatively early. We found it refreshing and enjoyed retiring early so that we were refreshed to walk again in the a.m. The shower was great too! The only con: I thought that there would be a couch that could be made into a bed but it was just a futon.

We were staying here to attend a local wedding. The accommodations for several parties in our family were great. The balconies made the stay wonderful as we could gather there for fun time together as well as enjoy the beautiful view across the street. The complimentary coffee was especially appreciated as there was no food service.

So The Cove at Rockport is one of the most unusual places I've stayed at. It is kind of like a bed and breakfast without the breakfast... which sounds weird, but it really wasn't. So we never actually saw anyone at the property our entire stay. Well we did see a cleaning lady... and some other guests. But we got an email in advance giving us the codes to get into the office are and the room. Everything was really done online. We did have some challenges getting into our room on the first floor since we had to access it through the office area. But we did get in and the room was very large and clean. The Cove is right across from the ocean and it is beautiful! It is right next to the harbor where there is plenty of shopping and good food. There is also a park right next to the property. The parking is right up the street, so you will have to walk a short distance. The town of Rockport is just lovely. It is exactly what you would imagine a small town on the northern coast to be. Time slows down and everything moves at a much slower pace. I absolutely loved the property and the town.

Room was very small for a Queen. No room for a 2nd carry on size suit case. Needed to balance it on a chair. Room has a code and I had to put it in at least 2xs each tim3 we entered to get it open. No staff around. On 2nd day I got a message asking if all OK. Said we had no tissues. I was told to find the blue door outside and use a different code. Then went up long flight and found the supply closet, but no tissues! Customer care is nonexistent. Good view,but wouldn't stay again.
