I originally booked a room with a double queen for three people with an ocean view in April for an early October stay and paid in full at the time of booking. In July, I was informed that due to new construction at the property, the room was no longer an ocean view room. The option offered in response was an ocean view room (subject to availability) with only one queen bed, so this was not a viable option being offered by management as we originally booked two queen beds for three people. The other option was to remain in the double queen room, with an early check-out or late check-out as compensation. This was rather a pathetic attempt at compensating me for paying for an ocean view room, but giving me a non-ocean view room and I expressed this to the property manager. I asked that my room rate should be adjusted based on the difference between ocean and non-ocean view room, but the manager informed me the rates are different as of July so she couldn't do that (makes no sense). I eventually got a reduction in the room rate after much back and forth. I should not have had to argue for a reduction in the room rate. Also, given I was told in July about the issue, it was too late to try to book alternative ocean view rooms in the Rockport area as they were already booked up. Overall, management constantly left me feeling like I was being a burden with my inquiries and objections to the change in room reservation, and room rates. Great property, but poor on-site mgt.

Interesting property. It's a self-serve hotel (little onsite staff) where you get codes for entering and texts for info. That was OK. The amenities were lacking for a 4 star hotel. No glasses or tissues in the room. Another negative were the quality of the pillows. Pretty small rooms too. But the room and hotel was very clean. And it had great views, excellent location, and nearby parking.
