I know this was a no-frills motel when I booked it and did so because the price was much lower than anything that was close. However, we were disappointed with our stay. Pluses: it was clean; the bed was comfortable, there was a big dresser with plenty of drawers, great location as we were there for a wedding in Portland and the cafe Eggs Up basically across the street was an excellent place for breakfast. Negatives: No closet in our room and no hangers; The shower head is above you and you can't reach it if you wanted to adjust it; no consistent hot water for showers - in fact on one day, it wouldn't get hot at all. I did report this to the person at the desk and she asked if I waited 4-5 minutes as it can take a while when the building is full - I had waited and ended up having to take a cold shower. Also, there is no where in the shower to put soap, shampoo, etc.; the blackout curtains do not cover the entire window and will not go over the shears that are there. I was surprised that the rating on Hotels.com was 8.4 as our experience is that it did not match that at all. It looks as if they are working on refurbishing rooms and maybe ours was still in progress. In any case, we would not stay there again.

Sheets were fresh.Tub was dirty and there was a plug-in air freshener in bathroom that was too strong. Somehow the entrance has to be enhanced as we drove right past it.
