'Balmoral Cottage' A Kingston Beach Escape

The linen, towels, crockery and cutlery were good quality. Didn’t do any cooking.We found the place grubby in regards to the lounge and relaxing seats which were badly stained also the carpet in the entrance hall and the bedroom we used needed cleaning. It really needs a paint job because without that it looks like it hasn’t been maintained which is what is needed to keep its character.The fire didn’t work every time we closed the door it went out. We had a fire like this and we think no air was getting in. It may need a thorough clean and soot removal.

The rooms were very clean, easy walking distance from the beach and from some nice resteraunts.

Loved the light from the windows, during the day you were able to see the garden and be apart of the garden. No Flyscreens seems to be a very Tassy thing, (and a leaky toilet, that I am sure someone will fix), but the floor boards, colours and beds were beautiful. The space is open, welcoming and relaxing; really needed the fans 4/12 days, so A BIG THANK YOU TO MANAGEMENT FOR THAT. Loved the flowers in the garden, fruit trees, Chinese Tulip Tree, and my colours: purple and white in the potted flowers, so lovely that I couldn't help but do a little weeding myself..The sheets and pillows were ample too, and the heating made the house warmer and more cosy than my relatives that live in Kingston Beach. We donated odd things e.g. stainless steel soup spoon, most people these days don't like putting plastic in hot things.But thats because I hoped to come back,
