Dromoland Castle was absolutely magical! The garden and grounds were stunning and the castle was indescribable. But the staff was my favourite part. They make you feel like family while there and we’ll be talking about our stay until the next time we get to go. Make sure to do the activities ….the archery, clay shooting and horse carriage specifically. And splurge on a specialty cocktail in the lounge at night, it’s worth every penny. The food was delicious, the room was perfect, exploring the castle was neat. I just can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Do not hesitate to book it. I will be travelling back to Ireland from Canada specifically to stay here again.

A lovely hotel in an old 18th century castle. Excellent service, a huge park with various activities and a golf course. Very good dinner options. A very quiet place to enjoy a couple of nights.

The grounds and the Castle are beautiful. Strongly suggest staying a minimum of 2 full days to get the full experience. Breakfast and Dinners were amazing. Casual bar area with live music in a room fit for a King.

Everything about this place was magical. From the moment we entered the grounds gates to the time we left. The service was top notch and the room, falcon experience, massage, and dinner were better than we could have ever expected. We can’t wait to go back and next time, we I’ll stay longer.

Our stay was phenomenal! Clay shooting and then a walk of the wooded, lovely, grounds. You stay in the actual castle! We had our best nights sleep here. The staff were over the top helpful.

It’s impossible to criticize Dromoland Castle and its superior staff! We celebrated our 50th- wedding anniversary here on the exact date of our marriage 50 years ago, when we also stayed here for part of our honeymoon. This nostalgic trip was met with such gracious treatment. The front gate greeted and congratulated us; the check-in staff in the lobby did the same. Our room was beyond our expectations (and also much improved over the 50 years)! We were upgraded to a beautiful corner room in one of the towers, with sublime views of the grounds. When do you ever hear the words,”Everything in the mini-bar and room is complementary”? Special 50th-anniversary treats in the room were such a nice touch. Breakfasts were fantastic, from the buffet to the cooked-to-order; traditional full-Irish breakfast and the shaksuka were delicious. Don’t miss the scones. Service in the bar was cozy, friendly, and prompt. Dinners at the Fig Tree were equally grand…along with the surprise dessert. Golf was excellent with a fine staff, a first-class course, and bag tag and tee perks. The best treat for me, while the husband golfed, was the falconry experience. Mike shared his passionate expertise with these birds, and interacting with falcons, hawks, and owls was unforgettable. Wish we knew the names of all the great staff who made this visit so memorable. Shout-outs to Aidan in the lobby, Mike the falconer, and all the outstanding members of Dromoland. Thank you for everything.

Property was amazing. Staff was mostly quick and knowledgeable. Did have a mix up with late check out as we had a spa appointment that ended at check out time and they said they woukd give us late check out and that did not happen. Our bathroom wall about the tub had a think layer of dust on it that fell into tub when you wiped it. Luggage guys were great. Front dest was fast and polite. Servers/bartwnders were good. Not sureidstay there again for thecost.

This property was very luxurious castle which I would say is a must when traveling throughout Ireland. The rooms were well equipped and without a doubt had the best beds we have slept in. Cocktails were on point, and the staff was highly accommodating. The breakfast was amazing, and a perfect send off for the last stop on our journey through Ireland

Stayed here several times before but a little disappointed this time. Requested a King Bed but got 2 singles pushed together. Highly uncomfortable and annoying. In the Cocktail bar, only 2 bar stools available which has a seriously detrimental effect on the possibility of interaction with other guests. Overall experience was disappointing. Won’t be back

If I could give Dromoland Castle 10 stars I would!! Absolutely gorgeous. The service we received was incredible, the rooms were spacious, gorgeous and very comfortable, the grounds were beautiful and the food was delicious.

Property was amazing. Staff was mostly quick and knowledgeable. Did have a mix up with late check out as we had a spa appointment that ended at check out time and they said they woukd give us late check out and that did not happen. Our bathroom wall about the tub had a think layer of dust on it that fell into tub when you wiped it. Luggage guys were great. Front dest was fast and polite. Servers/bartwnders were good. Not sureidstay there again for thecost.

Our stay was phenomenal! Clay shooting and then a walk of the wooded, lovely, grounds. You stay in the actual castle! We had our best nights sleep here. The staff were over the top helpful.

We were a group of 3 couples celebrating a 40th wedding anniversary and Dromoland didn’t disappoint. From the moment we arrived we were made feel so welcome. Our dinner was fabulous and all the staff were amazing . This is a real gem.We will be back soon again.

It’s impossible to criticize Dromoland Castle and its superior staff! We celebrated our 50th- wedding anniversary here on the exact date of our marriage 50 years ago, when we also stayed here for part of our honeymoon. This nostalgic trip was met with such gracious treatment. The front gate greeted and congratulated us; the check-in staff in the lobby did the same. Our room was beyond our expectations (and also much improved over the 50 years)! We were upgraded to a beautiful corner room in one of the towers, with sublime views of the grounds. When do you ever hear the words,”Everything in the mini-bar and room is complementary”? Special 50th-anniversary treats in the room were such a nice touch. Breakfasts were fantastic, from the buffet to the cooked-to-order; traditional full-Irish breakfast and the shaksuka were delicious. Don’t miss the scones. Dromoland Castle was absolutely magical! The garden and grounds were stunning and the castle was indescribable. But the staff was my favourite part. They make you feel like family while there and we’ll be talking about our stay until the next time we get to go. Make sure to do the activities ….the archery, clay shooting and horse carriage specifically. And splurge on a specialty cocktail in the lounge at night, it’s worth every penny. The food was delicious, the room was perfect, exploring the castle was neat. I just can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Do not hesitate to book it. I will be travelling back to Ireland from Canada specifically to stay here again.

This property was very luxurious castle which I would say is a must when traveling throughout Ireland. The rooms were well equipped and without a doubt had the best beds we have slept in. Cocktails were on point, and the staff was highly accommodating. The breakfast was amazing, and a perfect send off for the last stop on our journey through Ireland

I will be back. Going to Dromoland is like living in a bubble on the lush grounds, with lakes for boating/fishing, a challenging golf course with scenic views, old timey activities (clay pigeon shooting, archery, falconry, afternoon tea) and staff that aims to please. We had two children that received welcome gifts and personalized itineraries upon check-in. The food was top notch (I'm not a big eater but cleaned my plate each time). The rooms were spacious and the grounds were so well kept. It felt like traveling back to a simpler time away from the hassels of today. Anytime a staff person would pass in the halls, they'd politely say hello and ask if they could help in any way. One staffer was leaving for the day but walked us through the garden to the Fig Tree (less formal restaurant near the golf clubhouse) and took family pictures of us on the way. A truly magical place that my family won't forget.
